There are many definitions of success in Model UN, and awards are only one extrinsic way of measuring success. Nevertheless, awards serve to recognize both individual students and college teams as a whole for their accomplishments in leadership, research, public speaking, resolution-building, negotiation, and diplomacy.
Every year, the College MUN rankings celebrate the MUN teams that showed immense resilience by not only enduring despite the year’s challenges, but also succeeding at the highest level possible in collegiate Model UN.
Methodology
The World Division refers to the circuit of collegiate Model UN teams that are primarily run by college Head Delegates and primarily attend conferences hosted by college Model UN organizations, with the vast majority of those conferences featuring crisis committees. This ranking is only for the World Division.
The World Division Rankings uses a Cumulative Weighted Score Methodology. The Weighted Score Methodology is the same since Fall 2018 with modifications in conference weightings to reflect attendance and competitiveness this year. Conferences included in the calculations are listed below and grouped with their approximate peer conferences in terms of ranking.
Awards data were provided by the conferences, and we could only use the conferences that chose to provide data. We did our best to reach out to all conferences that we’re aware of. Tiers change every year based on data and are as follows for this year:
HNMUN |
McMUN |
NCSC |
ChoMUN |
BarMUN |
LAMUN, UCBMUN, VICS, TrojanMUN |
NYUMUNC, UPMUNC, UNCMUNC, CONMUN, &MUN |
DawgMUN, SBIMUN, MUNE, 305MUN, SUNMUN, NAMUN, NoleMUN |
HopMUNC, FCMUN, CMUNNY, TennMUN, BirdMUNC, CIAC, AIRMUNC, HoosierMUN, RISC |
American is officially the most dominant dynasty ever in the 15-year history of the Best Delegate College Rankings. No other team has completed a four-peat as the #1 ranked team; it’s impressive to have an entire graduating class was able to achieve and stay as #1.
American’s rise shows any team that invests in Model UN can become the best. Fordham and Georgia seem to be the modern day rapid risers as they’ve broken into the Top 10 in a short span of time. Maryland is also ranked for the first time ever.
That said, the Top 25 this year is primarily constituted by traditional college MUN brands with a balance of power between the longstanding clusters: Boston, NYC metro (NY/NJ/CT), DC metro (DC/MD/VA), Florida (plus one Southern team), California, Chicago (plus one Midwest team), and Montreal.
Small size conferences have notably grown and are 16 of the 30 conferences listed this year. But to make the Top 25, it still takes winning at the “P5” conferences — HNMUN, McMUN, ChoMUN, NCSC, and now BarMUN — as well as consistent performances across the mid-sized tier conferences.
The Top 25 teams on average attended 9 conferences and won 51 individual awards. American more than doubled the average individual awards, and achieved circuit-highs in delegation awards, individual awards, and gavels this year.
1. American University
American University is officially in a league of its own. This unprecedented fourth consecutive #1 ranking sets AUMUN apart from any other collegiate Model UN program in history. Our team is built on excellence, integrity, and an unshakable sense of community. This year we surpassed expectations by breaking our fall point record, expanding accessibility so every delegate could thrive, and welcoming one of our largest and most talented new member classes to date. From Montréal to Los Angeles, and everywhere in between, AUMUN showed up. But this achievement wasn’t built in a single year; it’s the product of over a decade of drive, determination, and culture-building. Just twelve years ago, AUMUN broke into the top 75 teams for the first time. Since then, our leadership teams have paved the path to dynastic success, overcoming financial barriers, enduring remote competition, and continually strengthening our team culture. The results speak for themselves. The AUMUN team culture centers camaraderie. From potlucks, to red-eye flights, to Sunday afternoon side quests, we strive to lead by example on the circuit through inclusivity and heart. It’s the teammates you lean on during the late nights of conference weekends that make every twelve-hour Amtrak and overnight bus ride feel like a memory worth keeping. Support, friendship, and mentorship are what keep this team strong. No one embodies this spirit more than our graduating Class of 2025. They’ve been with us through every chapter – from the darkest days of virtual MUN to the incredible heights we’ve reached today. The team won’t be the same without their unwavering guidance and support, but we know they’ll continue to accomplish wonderful things and will always have a team to support them! Finally, we extend our deep gratitude to the School of International Service, whose steadfast support continues to make our success possible. Four years at #1 is just the beginning. Next season, we’re ready to soar even higher! As always, we are American. Second to none. And we own the finish line! Go Eagles!
2. Georgetown University
Georgetown University Model United Nations (GUMUN) had an incredible season on the circuit, winning six delegation awards and succeeding across all committee styles and formats. As the highest ranked team with no tryouts or cuts, GUMUN was able to bring over sixty students across North America this year. We could not be more proud of or grateful to our delegates, many of whom are underclassmen, for consistently showing up to trainings and conferences with strong work ethics and positive attitudes. GUMUN’s success would not be possible without the work of our C-Staffers, who spend hours coaching, planning, and mentoring on top of competing at multiple conferences every semester. Because of them, GUMUN is not only a powerhouse team – it’s a family. The future of GUMUN is looking ever so bright under the leadership of our next Conferences Coordinator, Michelle Giovinazzo, and the rest of C-Staff. Hoya Saxa and Bleed GUMUN!
3. Florida International University
FIU Model UN is proud to establish itself as a hard-hitter on the circuit for another year in a row. Our paws are held all the way up as the 2024-2025 season saw five best delegation awards, an obscene amount of cafecítos, and the largest incoming class of delegates FIU Model UN has seen in recent years. Our training speaks for itself, as many of our gavels and individual awards were won by undergraduates and first-time delegates on the team with incredible help from our winning team of dedicated returners. Winning was made in conjunction with some incredible memories together and with the circuit at large, which we love to attribute to our Miami charm. If you know us, you know Chinatowns love FIU, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
With an amount of airplane miles that can rival the entire circuit, the amount of times this team has woken up at 4am is a little unhealthy for most, but this team definitely isn’t most. This team’s success would not be possible without the support from our faculty advisor, Mohamed Ghumrawi and the leadership and dedication of our outgoing Head Delegates, Archer Amon, Jason Salguero and Angie Zuleta; Heads of Research Deborah Ruiz and Carlos Ricuarte; Social Chairs Aidan Papke and Camila Flores Corsini; and FIMUN Secretary-General and Director-General Isabella Balbi Masso and Alexandria Cerini.
To our first-years: Thank you for your dedication to long travel nights and all your incredible work at first-time conferences we hope to see become many more.
To our returners: Thank you for all the long nights of prep we spent in the conference room, the terrible jokes, and the beautiful commitment you have to our team. None of this could have happened without you, and we can’t wait to see how much farther you will continue to succeed.
4. Claremont McKenna College
The CMCMUN team had an incredible season. Keeping with our team’s slogan of “team comes first,” we bonded at Friday night practice, on red-eye flights to the East Coast, and at conferences both inside and outside the US. After taking the Philippines by storm at WorldMUN, our team hosted the most-attended iteration of our high school conference, McKennaMUN, since the pandemic. Thanks to the insane talent of our new recruits, the continued dedication of returning members, and a hardworking leadership team, CMCMUN won delegation awards at BARMUN, TrojanMUN, SBIMUN, Harvard’s WorldMUN, and for the first time in our club’s history, Best Large Delegation at HNMUN. Even though Claremont McKenna is a small school, our MUN team continues to bring home awards, always with the team community in mind. We were sad to say goodbye to our graduating seniors (especially our competitive powerhouses and team leads, President Josh Morganstein and Vice President Kat Lanzalotto), but we are so excited to welcome a new group of members in the Fall. Team comes first!
5. Boston University
MUN@BU is proud to thank everyone who made the past year possible, to the new members who brought fresh talent, and to the returning members who have shown their loyalty to MUN@BU through the years. It is because of all members, new and old, that we are able to defend our legacy as a competitive and welcoming team, full of diverse and adaptable talent. To Amerah, who took on the mantle of leadership this past year, we thank you for your tireless work in bearing the torch through another year of bi-weekly meetings, 5am flights, and post-committee debrief sessions. This past year, we travelled a record amount of delegates, won 3 delegation awards, attended 9 conferences, hosted the biggest BarMUN ever, endured the MUNth (4 weeks of back to back conferences + Spring Tryouts), all while creating memories that will last a lifetime. Go Terriers!
6. University of California, Los Angeles
MUN at UCLA continued to reach great heights this year, earning five delegation awards across the East and West coasts. Our delegates excelled in every kind of committee – from dual del GAs, to JCCs, to Ad Hocs. The team maintained time-honored traditions, like speed-running obstacle courses at Park Night in Washington, D.C. We also made new ones, like patronizing the same Chinese restaurant in Boston no matter the season and foot racing other teams in various hotel hallways. Many things changed for MUN at UCLA this year. We hosted LAMUN in a new hotel, we attended new conferences, and we, as always, welcomed new members who shined for the whole year. But the most important things stayed the same. We eight-clapped before each opening session, we took red-eyes out of LAX, and we remain the nicest team on the circuit.
Whether our delegates participated in their first or umpteenth collegiate conference, we are unbelievably grateful for the prowess, kindness, and energy they brought over the past academic year. To our graduating seniors: we wish you the best in all your future endeavors. As always, go Bruins!
7. Fordham University
Fordham University Model United Nations is proud to affirm that our team has had a record-breaking performance this year, being the team with the most significant points improvement from the past season to the current, a remarkable achievement after over 15 years on the circuit. Our delegates’ hard work and dedication at 11 conferences has honored our team with four delegation awards, though none of these achievements would have been possible without the devotion of our Executive board, who have spent several sleepless nights on logistics, training, and most importantly, ensuring the well-being of our delegates. With the commitments of over 20 new members throughout the year, FUMUN has become more than a team, but a family.
The FUMUN team would also like to extend a thank you to all of the exceptionally executed conferences we’ve attended on the circuit, as without them, we would not have been able to learn so much and engage in such meaningful debates. We look forward to what the next years hold, and can’t wait to see what the 2025-2026 season has in store for us. Go FUMUN, and go Rams!
8. McGill University
McGill’s Delegation Team had a phenomenal season this year, both on and off the circuit! We travelled to nine conferences total, and were so impressed by the dedication and passion of our team at each and every one. We not only excelled competitively, but built a tight knit community and had a blast travelling together. Huge shoutout to our fearless Head Delegate for 2024-2025, Maria Zen-Baxter. McGill’s success was made possible by her leadership and the hard work of her and her Team Council. We are so incredibly proud of this team and can’t wait to see what is to come for the 2025-2026 season! McGill once McGill twice!
9. The George Washington University
The George Washington University is proud of the team for another amazing year! After traveling to a historic 13 conferences this past year, GWMUN sent more delegates on conference than ever before! From among us by the UVA rotunda to re-enacting La La Land at the Griffith Observatory, there was never a dull moment this year on conference! Many amazing memories were made this year at GWMUN’s favorite spots like Wingos in DC, Mcleans in Montreal and Eggy’s in Chicago! With an amazing cadet class and a strong performance from upperclassmen members the team continues to succeed and grow. GWMUN members continued to bring their A game to every conference they traveled to, embracing a work hard, play hard mentality. We’d like to thank every member of the team for their hard work and dedication this past year as our success would not be possible without them! Many thanks to this past year’s apparatus, the team would not have succeed without you all: Faith Farley-Head Delegate, Wretam Purkayastha- Vice Head Delegate, Scarlett Metts- Assistant Head Delegate, and Walker Szczecina- Assistant Head Delegate! We’re looking forward to seeing what the team does next year!
10. University of Georgia
WHO’S THAT COMIN’ DOWN THE TRACK??? It’s the University of Georgia’s Model UN team, swiftly dominating the circuit! This past year has shown that our team is continuing to set new records each day, both in and out of committee. After successfully running our second collegiate conference ever, we were awarded Best Small Conference, and following our performances across the circuit, were announced the Delegate’s Choice of Best Team! While we love receiving achievements like these, we are more happy knowing that our team is composed of incredible, creative, and kind leaders who prioritize learning to work with others over winning alone. Anyone who’s ever met a UGA delegate knows that respect and compassion always come before awards. The newest members we took on this year wasted no time in picking up this team philosophy and have only added to the pride and success of UGAMUN. This next year, we hope to continue making our presence known across the circuit, possibly at conferences we’ve never been to before! Although we will be losing many seniors who have done amazing things for our team (Kris, Sean, Carson, Mahin, PJ, Krishna, Kanika <3) we are happy to say we will continue to show out at every single conference we travel to (and we’re bringing our barking with us)! We hope to see you all at ARCHMUN III this October. GO DAWGS!!!!
11. University of Chicago
This year, UChicago Model UN demonstrated endurance, integrity, and kindness. From a dominant performance at NCSC to attending two new conferences this year, we have loved watching the team learn and grow over this year. From monument night in DC to San Francisco trams, Harper 130 to the O’Hare McDonald’s, we are beyond proud of our team and we are grateful for the love and dedication that our team members put in. It is a privilege to call this team our family, and a joy to see all of you become some of the kindest and most beloved delegates on the circuit. On to the next!
12. University of California, Berkeley
The UC Berkeley Model United Nations team ended the 2024-2025 season on a high note, bringing camaraderie and excitement to every corner of the circuit. Starting off strong at BarMUN and ending with huge wins at LAMUN and ChoMUN, our team has fostered an ever-growing community of passionate delegates. They have worked incredibly hard this past year, showing up with determination and drive to make every conference count. But beyond the awards, we welcomed new delegates, strengthened friendships, and broke personal records. From late-night prep sessions to first-ever gavels, our delegation left its mark with standout performances and unforgettable moments throughout the past year. At every step, mentorship has remained at the heart of our team, and we are incredibly grateful to all the trainers and delegates this past year who helped lift each other up at conference and grow together in and out of committee. This season would not have been possible without the tireless leadership of our Head Delegates: Dylan Nokleby, Anousha Athreya, Drishti Gupta, Harsh Kumbhat, and Jackson Englar-Carlson. We’re endlessly thankful for everything our delegates and Officer’s Board have contributed this year, and we can’t wait to see what next year’s team will achieve. Go Bears!!
13. University of Miami
UMiami MUN had its most successful season ever, quadrupling membership and sending delegates to eight conferences across the continent. Between the unforgettable McMUN Saturday, that one boat day, pre-conference debriefs at Mahoney, and the telephone game that somehow became a team obsession, we’ve built something special. “Nokia” by Drake has become our unofficial anthem, playing in our heads during our biggest moments and victories. Under outgoing Head Delegates Giovanna Antoniassi Aires Garcia and Osei Allen, this organization has grown into a team that wins awards while making every conference feel like an adventure. We’ve proven that success doesn’t have to come at the expense of actually enjoying what you’re doing, and other teams have definitely noticed. See you next year! Go ‘Canes!
14. Harvard University
This season, Harvard ICMUN returned to the circuit with mini fridges packed with energy drinks, our elbows stronger than ever, slightly too many boxes of Domino’s pizza, and (most importantly) a new class of IC-Surfs and IC-Turfs! With the spirit of Lionel Messi in all of our hearts, Harvard traveled to nine different conferences all across North America, including four conferences in a row our spring semester. The circuit has brought us endless friendships, fond memories at the delegate socials, and lots of excitement for what’s to come next! This team, however, would not exist without our amazing new freshmen, our seniors from IC-Breadth and IC-Depth (and an IC-London?), and our insanely dedicated leadership team (go KALFers!). Thank you also to the ‘23-’24 Head Delegates, LOAD (Liana, Omar, Alice, and Dan) for being such supportive and empowering mentors, leading the team with grace and humility. The ‘24-’25 Head Delegates, KALF (Kenith, Addy, Lucia, and Fayyaz) are so excited to see everyone back on the circuit next year! Roll Crim!
15. University of Florida
It is great to be a Florida Gator, and even greater to be a member of UF MUN! With more competitive spirit and community engagement than ever seen in the team’s history, UF MUN is proud to rep the Orange & Blue both on and off the circuit. This year, we had the most successful GatorMUN to date, and a new & exciting chapter for our college conference, as SunMUN was recognized as the Delegate’s Choice for Outstanding Small Size conference! There is no ‘I’ in team, but there is an ‘F’ in UF MUN – and that stands for family. This year, UF MUN had its largest membership, bringing new faces to the circuit and new friendships here in Gainesville. After another year of fun, success, and lots of conferences, we look forward to the year ahead. As we grow and compete, we are committed to showing everyone on the circuit just how great it is to be a Florida Gator!
16. Concordia University
We at Concordia External Delegation are incredibly proud of everything our delegates have achieved this year. Our team rose to every occasion, earning delegation awards across the circuit, showing increasing drive at every conference we attended, and most importantly, growing closer as a unit. This was accomplished by the hard work and dedication of every single member of our team, from our incoming first year delegates, to our seasoned veterans.
Our first year delegates came out the gates running with one of the best overall performances from first year delegates in the team’s history. In addition to our impressive competitive year, CED created lasting memories, such as winning two delegation awards in the same weekend, overcoming a broken car windshield while trying to get home, and enjoying countless car karaoke sessions. We couldn’t have completed this year in such an amazing place without the leadership of our outgoing president Bryan Vu, whose guidance motivated the team to perform at their best, both in and out of committee. Concordia is built on a foundation of inclusivity and creativity, which has contributed to the continued success of both CED and our conference CONMUN, which was incredibly successful this year. We would like to thank everyone who lent their time and energy into making this team something incredible. CED has a lot in store for this upcoming year, and can’t wait to see you all around the circuit!
17. United States Military Academy
18. Florida State University
The 2024–2025 competition season was nothing short of extraordinary for the Florida State University World Affairs Program! Our delegates embodied the unconquered spirit at conferences across the country, securing over forty points and four delegation awards. Back home in Tallahassee, the World Affairs Program proudly hosted the fourth iteration of our ranked Model UN conference, NoleMUN—continuing our tradition of excellence both on and off the circuit. From committee rooms to 12-hour road trips, our new and returning members brought unmatched passion, leadership, and dedication to every aspect of the FSU and Model UN communities. A special thank you to our incredible leaders—Maddie, Grace, and Gabriel—whose vision, commitment, and heart have left a lasting legacy on the program. We are honored to have represented Florida State University this year, and we can’t wait to see what success the future holds! Go Noles!
19. Yale University
This year, Yale’s competitive Model UN Team (MUNTY) stepped onto the circuit with momentum, enthusiasm, and a deep love for the sport that is Model UN. Thanks to the dedication of our team, especially our exceptional first years (a.k.a our babies… now our toddlers), we had one of our most successful seasons since the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re incredibly proud of the effort and passion every member brought to the team, from late-night training sessions and many coffee chats to the pride they showed in every performance. You’re all amazing.
Beyond competition, we want to recognize the entire MUNTY community from those who offered advice and encouragement to those cheering us on in the group chat. Your support and care for the team made this year not only rewarding but also so joyful. That spirit, along with many hours of preparation, laughs, and travel is what made this season so memorable!
To our seniors: thank you for your mentorship and inspiration. You will be hugely missed! To our incredible board: thank you for working so hard for the team and for leading an unforgettable year! To our underclassmen: thank you for your energy, time, and heart. We appreciate every single one of you and we can’t wait to see where you take the team next! MUNTY wouldn’t be what it is today without all of you.
Here’s to an incredible year and to many more MUN adventures, hot seats, and excellent team dinners ahead.
20. University of Southern California
The Trojans hit the ground running this year with 6 conferences, taking home delegation and individual awards! We are so proud of the hard work and time our entire team, new members to seasoned delegates, put into every meeting, late-night conference prep session, and post-committee debrief. On top of a packed competitive schedule, the team successfully hosted our college conference, TrojanMUN, our high school conference, SCMUN, and countless MUN socials. Above all, the team’s culture went strong, valuing community, empathy, and kindness. The MUNSC team is truly a family and has made the club a favorite for its members. While the GroupMe may never rest, it is indicative of the loud and proud spirit of the USC MUN team. This year’s success would not have been possible without 2024 President Jacob Rose, TrojanMUN SG Elaine Li, SCMUN SG Saloni Mahajan, 2025 President Sabeeh Mirza, and every member of the conference secretariats, E-Board, and the club! Fight On!
21. University of California, Santa Barbara
We live, we laugh, we love. Model United Nations at University of California, Santa Barbara is proud to embody what it means to be a Gaucho – to play hard and compete even harder. Our team is defined by fiery ambition tempered by perfect weather and a beach next door. Throughout the 2024-2025 season, we’ve managed to accommodate a travel team of over 40 hard working members, with eyes to expand more next year. We are proud to finish yet another year within the top 25 and would like to thank our hard-working members at UCSBMUN, who rally to liminal lecture halls for hours each week to train, form community, and quote eachother out of context in our slack channel. We would also like to thank our seniors for their years of dedicated service – you have provided amazing role models to the children and we are going to miss you and the awards you bring in dearly. To our new members – we are so happy to have you join our cult, we hope that you stay because you cannot leave. To our outgoing and incoming executive board – we hope that you can milk UCSB for more money and thank you for your endless service. Special thanks to SBI and GauchoMUN secretariat for the ungodly amount of work and stress that comes from running a conference – y’all are the goat. One last thing – if you are reading this, come to SBI!! It’s gonna be a fire conference!!
22. University of Virginia
UVAMUN is proud of our performance as we travelled to 7 conferences in the past year. The fall was a standout semester for the team, performing at our best across CMUNNY, BARMUN, TrojanMUN, and UPMUNC. We won our first best delegation award in years at CMUNNY, and cultivated a strong team culture around practice and conference preparation.
In the spring semester, our competitive success as a team varied, even as we saw the strongest individual performances of some of our teammates. Across McMUN, UCBMUN, and &MUN, we had a great time getting to know other delegates and bonding as a team. As usual, we had a blast hosting the circuit in Charlottesville for a fun time and good competition at VICS.
UVAMUN is excited to remain in the Top 25 and we look forward to building on our current standing next year!
23. New York University
No campus, no problem. NYUMUN shattered all expectations this year with our best season since COVID, sending our biggest team yet out to conferences around the country and hosting two amazing conferences of our own (shoutout NYUMUNC XVI!). Bringing home almost every possible delegation award with an Outstanding Small at CIAC, an Outstanding Large at CMUNNY, and a Best Delegation at RISC, NYUMUN and our head delegates Riley Bryant and Isa Lauchengco led the team to a program-high 9 conferences in 8 different states, brought on 25 new members, and earned 3 all-star nods for the first time ever. Whether it’s a 10/2 on the economy, an overnight Amtrak to Virginia, scouring the floors of Stern every Monday night, or going to war with clothespins, NYUMUN has consistently exceeded expectations and approached each committee session with endless determination and creativity (and caffeine). Thank you so much to all of our graduating seniors for the advice you’ve given and experiences you’ve contributed— Ananya, Api, Caio, Hayden, Isa, Kristen, Key, Lauren, Liv, Masha, Riley, Sahil, Sebastián, and Valen, we already miss you all endlessly. To the team as a whole, none of this would be possible without the incredible dedication that you each have shown! To the next conference: your city, our campus
24. Northwestern University
Northwestern is honored to be back in the Top 25 after a record-breaking season! We pride ourselves not only on our competitive success throughout the year, but on the supportive and welcoming atmosphere we have built as a team. From long CTA rides at CHOMUN to snowstorms at HNMUN to hurried monumenting at NCSC, the excitement of this year has both sustained our continued improvement as delegates and brought our members closer together, with friendships blossoming alongside diplomatic prowess. To our ’24-’25 leadership team: your hard work is what made our success possible, and we appreciate deeply all that you have done to make this team what it is today. To our seniors: thank you for giving it your all one final time and being so incredibly welcoming to all of us over the years. To our newcomers: you have weathered the chaos of competition as admirably as anyone could have hoped, making it a joy to watch you all continue to strive for new heights. And to everyone: let’s make next season even better than the last!
25. University of Maryland
After a standout year on the circuit, UMDMUN could not be happier to achieve a top 25 ranking for the first time in program history. This team showed up and showed out for an unprecedented season, setting program records in conference attendance and total awards won. Most notably, we brought home three delegation awards in one semester, the first since returning from COVID. Beyond these achievements, every single member of our delegation demonstrated unwavering passion, dedication, and growth this year, and we are incredibly proud of this team and all they’ve accomplished. Across the circuit, but most often in Virginia, UMDMUN made countless memories, connected with friends, old and new, and answered the age-old question, what even is a Terrapin? The answer to which one can find in their fellow Maryland delegate: someone who is friendly, ambitious, and maybe a bit too obsessed with Jeopardy.
We would be remiss not to acknowledge the influx of members our team welcomed this season, who have already begun to make their mark on our program. The future of UMDMUN has never been brighter, and we have full faith in their ability to advance and grow our team. To world domination, may we be in charge!

Best Delegate is recognizing the diplomatic spirit of the college Model UN community by including a Delegate’s Choice category for Best College Model UN Teams and Best College Model UN Conferences.
Any college student who participated in a college Model UN conference in the “World Division” (college student-led, crisis-friendly conferences) was allowed to vote for one team and one conference that is NOT from their own during the College MUN All-Star voting process. College students could define “Best” in the way they see fit.
Participants could only vote once per category. That means any team or conference that made it to the list at all was already considered to be THE best team or THE best conference in the minds of many participants from other teams and conferences on the circuit.
It is our privilege to announce the inaugural list of the Best College Model UN Teams and Conferences for the 2024-2025 school year. Congratulations!

All names are in alphabetical order by first name within each tier.
Andrew Severance
Boston University
The fearless leader of the BU International Affairs Association, Andrew has been an integral part of the MUN community ever since he joined his freshman year of college. He’s involved in all things BUIAA including competing for MUN@BU, being Secretary General of BarMUN XVI and more recently being a crisis director for the Ad-hoc committee, and writing for the International Relations Review Journal. When he’s not locked in on pursuing his joint BA/MA in Economics along with his degrees in Political Science and Data Science, studying abroad in Australia, cracking jokes on BU’s student radio station, or watching F1 races, he’s tearing up a Crisis committee and adding to his gavel collection! Along with the students he serves as a committed RA for, we will truly miss Andrew here at BUIAA—but we’re confident he’s headed for great things (and will surely create plenty of spreadsheets along the way)!
Emiliano Jasis
University of California, Los Angeles
Emiliano Jasis is a rising senior at UCLA pursuing a B.S. in psychobiology, and is both inspiring and generous as a chair— but more importantly, as a friend. Serving as the chair for the LA Metro BOD, Emiliano executed a flawless committee, skillfully steering delegates through the the rise and fall of the Girl Scout Inglewood Empire, the kidnapping of Metro Mike, and of course: the discovery of transit god Merlin P. Griffin. From building out the K Line to hosting the Olympics, they guided committee with enviable poise and prowess. Leading with a strength that is almost as hard-hitting as their gavel tap, Emiliano was an extraordinarily committed chair to both delegates and staffers alike, bringing both a smile and Trader Joes Juicy Mango Strips to committee meetings, and always giving it their all. Emiliano’s dedication to their staffers is a prime example of what we aim to achieve at MUN @ UCLA, and their compassion, kindness, and patience has made them one of MUN @ UCLA’s greatest assets. You have touched so many lives, both on the circuit and at home— we love you, and thank you for blessing the circuit once more with your chairing ability!
Emma Solomon
University of California, Berkeley
If you were fortunate enough to participate in UCBMUN’s Theranos Board of Directors, you would have witnessed Emma Solomon’s creativity, passion, and grace firsthand. Emma’s involvement throughout her years has made her a confidante and a mentor to many in our club. Through her every action, she displays a rare combination of intellect and empathy that elevates those around her and has changed UCBMUN club culture for the better. Emma’s excellent chairing was evidenced by the glowing feedback she and her dais got at every Head Delegate feedback session (and we all know how intense those can be). However, what truly made Emma a fantastic chair was not only her expertise in parliamentary procedure but the effort she put into crafting this committee. Behind the scenes, Emma put countless hours into researching everything there is to know about Theranos to craft the perfect committee for her delegates. From Elizabeth Holmes’ career path to Silicon Valley startup culture — Emma’s meticulous preparation allowed delegates to fully immerse themselves in the world she built. In May, Emma will be graduating with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in Journalism and Public Policy. Emma, we’re incredibly grateful for everything you have brought to UCBMUN and wish you all the best in your future!
Emma Wong
Georgetown University
Known for her patterned wrap dresses, sky-high heels, and the widest Model UN range on the circuit, Emma Wong has spent the past four years being the absolute pride and joy of Georgetown University Model United Nations (GUMUN). This past year, Emma served as GUMUN’s Conferences Coordinator and Head Delegate. Throughout her time in university and the twenty-five conferences she attended, Emma gaveled nearly every type of committee the circuit had to offer, from double-delegate GAs to classic crisis and UNSC hybrid committees. After winning eight gavels this year at MUNE, BarMUN, UPMUNC, McMUN, HNMUN, VICS, &MUN, and ChoMUN, she broke the GUMUN team record with a career total of twelve gavels and likely set the circuit record for most gavels won in a single year. But what makes Emma special isn’t just her ability to succeed as an individual; it’s her ability to lead others to success as well. Under her leadership, GUMUN won six delegation awards at MUNE, UPMUNC, CIAC, VICS, &MUN, and ChoMUN. Throughout her years of leadership, Emma worked to make GUMUN a more welcoming, supportive, and inclusive place. She is always willing to be there for others, whether it’s checking in with them after committee or helping put an iconic “GUMUN 4EVER” tattoo on their forehead before a conference social. When she’s not competing, Emma can be found on the other side of the dais. She chaired NCSC’s UNSC this past year, after chairing NCSC’s inaugural Ad-Hoc General Assembly the year before. The entire Georgetown University Model United Nations community could not be more proud of and grateful to Emma, and we look forward to watching her succeed in her next chapter.
Hanan Levis Betancourt
University of Florida
Known to many as the “hella fine Puerto Rican man” on UF Model UN’s roster, Hanan has been an unstoppable force throughout his senior year. With three more gavels earned this season—bringing his total to seven—Hanan’s competitive record speaks for itself. But what truly sets him apart is not just his own success, but the success he’s cultivated in others.
As Crisis Head of Member Development, Hanan transformed the way UF MUN trains and prepares for conferences. His innovative approach helped lead the team to its first Top 10 national ranking, and his mentorship has directly inspired dozens of delegates to travel and compete at the highest level. His dedication has created a space where new members feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to grow.
Hanan is more than a delegate—he’s a mentor, a leader, and the heart of our traveling team. Whether running late-night debriefs into the early morning or sharing a laugh during long conference weekends, he brings warmth, humor, and unwavering support to everything he does. Traveling with Hanan is always such a privilege and the energy he brings every conference is one of a kind.
His legacy at UF MUN is one of excellence, compassion, and community. Hanan is the kind of leader who leaves no one behind—and like the plates of those who travel with him, no one’s heart untouched. His goofy moments, heartfelt conversations, and excitement he shares with others in their success are the highlight of every conference with him. Hanan’s impact will stay with our team and the rest of the circuit for many years to come, and he is the type of delegate we all aspire to be.
Jackson Randolph
University of Florida
Jackson Randolph, also known as the “Mogster,” is one of UFMUN’s most beloved delegates not just by the circuit but his own team. His brotherly acts and caring nature has made him a go-to shoulder to cry/laugh on. As a senior, Jackson has played a tremendous role in UF’s success this year. He served as a senior member on UF’s member development team, helping teach the new generation of UF delegates. Moreover, he stepped up to become the Ad-Hoc director, running the delegates’ choice for best-run committee as SUNMUN III. Finally, Jackson was a mainstay on UF’s travel team, attending 4 conferences and placing 3 times. From his charismatic personality and eye-opening hooks in crisis committees, to his dedication to the development of his fellow teammates, Jackson’s presence has left a lasting impact that UFMUN will not soon forget.
Luisa Luo
University of Southern California
The literal mother of the USC team, Luisa Luo is one of the most dedicated and passionate people in the MUNSC family. A double major in Narrative Studies & NGO and Social Change, and a double minor in Thematic Approaches and Cultural Diplomacy, Luisa truly does it all on campus. From Undergraduate Student Government to Greek Life to being a staff writer at the Daily Trojan, literally everyone on campus is connected to Luisa somehow. Iconic head delegate, the current Deputy-Secretary-General of TrojanMUN 2025, and Vice President of MUNSC, Luisa is the GOAT. Serving as the coordinating CD of a JCC at our high school conference, AND the coordinating CD of a TRIPLE JCC at TrojanMUN 2024, Luisa is a CD of the stars, beloved by all her ACDs and staffers. Any committee that has the privilege of being touched by Luisa is a guaranteed slay, infused with as much whimsy and attention to detail as her.
Nico Mendez
University of Florida
You’ve seen the capybaras. On the Model United Nations circuit you would be hard pressed to find somebody as capable and creative as Nicolas Mendez Arango, or Nico. A rising senior, Nico has competed across the circuit and has transferred his wealth of experience, creativity, and leadership into his directorship. Having directed committees at conferences across Florida, Nico never ceases to provide his delegates with unique, creative, and fun committee ideas. , as anyone who has had the privilege of competing in one of Nico’s committees will attest, Nico is both insanely funny and through his updates capable of facilitating meaningful debate regardless of the subject matter. Those that have met him know that he loves challenges, as not only is he double majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering while Minoring in Physics and Mathematics, but he also spent this year serving as the president of UF’s Model United Nations team, illustrating his passion even though he’s not studying a field that relates to it. As such, you shouldn’t expect Nico to stop competing or directing anytime soon, keeping us engaged with his funny ideas and stories in the process.
Phoebe Chambers
Georgetown University
Whether she’s top paging in-room or writing the most creative and killer back-room arcs, Phoebe Chambers has established herself as one of the most dynamic and beloved figures on the Georgetown University Model United Nations team (GUMUN) and across the circuit. Over the past four years and 19 conferences, Phoebe has built a national reputation as one of the most versatile and impactful delegates, mastering GA, crisis, and hybrid committees with unmatched skill. This past year alone as GUMUN’s Deputy of Training, she awarded at all six conferences she attended. Throughout her impressive career, Phoebe won three gavels in some of the circuit’s most difficult committees, including CMUNNY, the notorious BARMUN Ad Hoc, and the HNMUN UNSC. As the leader of GUMUN’s CIAC delegation, she brought the team to a triumphant Best Small Delegation award. But Phoebe’s contributions extend far beyond her competitive prowess. A natural born storyteller, Phoebe is always ready to share a hilarious or heartfelt anecdote at a moment’s notice, whether during midnight Cookout runs or at VICS closing ceremonies (where she also, notably, lost her shoe, twice!). Phoebe’s commitment to the team this year has been tireless. She is the first to volunteer for logistical tasks and somehow always has a mini stapler and moral support on hand to help out our team members. Phoebe has also staffed NCSC and NAIMUN all four years, most recently serving as the crisis manager of the UNSC at both conferences. Her chaotic good energy and endless generosity have made her a beloved cornerstone of GUMUN’s culture. Phoebe’s impact on the circuit is immeasurable and delegates across the country will miss her!
Sydney Lester
University of California, Los Angeles
Everyone’s favorite GA chair, Sydney Lester, has proven time and time again that MUN is not just about international affairs, diplomacy, leadership, and debate – it’s also about doing it all in style. From bold blazers to vibrant heels, Sydney has a wardrobe like no other. She may turn heads in her hot pink blazer or pinstripe suit, but Sydney’s impact goes far beyond being the best dressed. A graduating senior majoring in Sociology with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies, Sydney is a key player of the UCLA MUN team. She is well known by her delegates from BruinMUN to LAMUN for chairing the largest, and often most rambunctious, committees with authority, grace, and the occasional gavel down. Most recently, in her large dual del committee, UNODC, Sydney led her delegates in a weekend of meaningful debate and collaboration on how to maintain safe and equitable access to essential controlled substances during emergency situations, managing to do it all while only getting locked out of her room once. Sydney also serves as the Director of Marketing for MUN at UCLA, queen of Canva, Instagram, and merch. Unofficially, she serves as head of recruitment, convincing all her friends and roommates to staff her committees and dedicate their Wednesday nights to conference training. Outside of MUN, Sydney works for Undergraduate Admissions as a coordinator for the Bruin Ambassador Program, focusing on making higher education more accessible to Los Angeles youth. But what truly makes Sydney unforgettable is the time, passion, and dedication she pours into everything she is a part of. She is truly the best person to have on your team, and we are so excited to see everything that she will do next!
Sydney Tiesi
New York University
Sydney Tiesi is a senior majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management at NYU’s School of Professional Studies. A native of New York City, she loves the field of tourism and its impacts on all of our lives. Her Model United Nations journey while recent has been nothing short of remarkable – beginning in her freshman year at NYU Sydney has staffed a total of six Model United Nations conferences — once as a crisis analyst, once as an assistant crisis director, once as a joint crisis director, and twice as a crisis director.
Sydney’s favourite aspects of Crisis are those that extend the bounds of reality and excels in fantasy-themed committees, such as EmpireMUNC’s How to Train Your Dragon and NYUMUNC’s Saturday Night Live. Despite having no high school MUN experience and never serving as a delegate, Sydney quickly became NYUMUN’s most revered backroom management expert. She has consistently achieved phenomenal engagement from both delegates and crisis analysts, while also crafting deeply thoughtful content that helped delegates make sense of the surreal contexts into which she often placed them.
Sydney’s dedication and commitment to NYU’s Model United Nations club cannot be overstated, extending well beyond her roles within committees. As Secretary of the club, Sydney has been a vital leader in NYUMUN’s operations. Under her guidance, NYUMUN has achieved its highest recruitment numbers to date, fostering a vibrant culture that she has helped shape not by command, but by example.
Perhaps most illustrative of her leadership is Sydney’s efforts in spearheading WoMUN, a biannual forum that promotes greater diversity and inclusion for women and gender minorities within NYUMUN. Time and time again Sydney has demonstrated her love and commitment for the team, rightfully becoming a cornerstone of the NYUMUN’s identity and what we aspire to be. As a team, we are eager to see the amazing future ahead of Sydney, and we’ll deeply miss our spectacular leader!
Tara Ganguly
University of California, Los Angeles
There is no one on earth who loves MUN as much as Tara Ganguly. She is not only a powerhouse in committee, but a mentor to anyone who needs her. She stays up late helping new crisis dels plan their arcs and is always eager to offer words of advice or encouragement. Tara is driven not only by her immense and almost scary passion for the activity, but also by her incredible heart. She cares deeply about every person she meets, from freshmen joining the UCLA team to delegates in her many ad hoc committees. She makes detailed slideshows to train her staff and pours more of herself into MUN than anyone else I know. Part of the reason Tara has been so successful is her willingness to connect deeply and genuinely with others and forge long lasting friendships on the circuit. Even in her silliest moments, doing her shrimp or Elmo impressions, all who interact with Tara get the sense that they really matter. No one is harder working or more deserving than she is.
Vasily Shugaev
McGill University
Vasily is a graduating senior studying Political Science and Computer Science at McGill. A wonderful dais member and delegate, he’s known for his captivating speaking style and commanding presence. More than that, he is a wonderful friend with a great sense of humour. On McGill’s team, he is known for his intelligence and quick wit, making every conversation interesting and memorable. He has a purposive approach to Model UN, rooted in his values and genuine desire to promote social good. As the chair of the World Food Programme double delegate committee at McMUN, Vasily broke through the chaos to facilitate a clear, cohesive, and organized weekend while being sensitive to the needs of his delegates. This marked Vasily’s third and final McMUN, and he has spent two years on the McGill Delegation Team.
Ben Merbaum
McGill University
Benjamin Merbaum is about to graduate from McGill with a degree in Honours Mathematics. We were lucky enough to have Ben as our Head Delegate last year and Director of Finance and Logistics two years ago, and the impact his leadership and drive has made on our team is simply unquantifiable. Ben joined the team back when online MUN was still the circuit standard, making his debut in committee on Zoom many moons ago. Ever since, he has grown into a wonderful presence and leader. Ben is truly a friend to everyone and the epitome of a Golden Retriever Head Delegate. On the circuit, all who encounter him know and love his approachable demeanor, whether he is competing or serving as a Chair. This year at McMUN, he pioneered our first ever non-traditional crisis (Yeti Committee!), paving the way forward for many McMUNs to come with its great success. We’ll miss you dearly Ben, and here’s to all future road trips having sunny skies and no torrential downpours!
Carson Ankeny
University of Georgia
Carson Ankeny is a recent UGA graduate with a major in Political Science. As one of the best dressed delegates on the circuit, you know it’s Carson when you see his red suit – or maybe when you see the Monster Energy he’s carrying. He was a member of the UGA Model UN team for 4 years, and played a part in helping to make the team more competitive and relevant on the circuit post-COVID. This year, more than any individual achievements, Carson was most proud to be a mentor for other members of the team which more than doubled in size since his freshman year.
At DAWGMUN II, Carson ran The Revolution Will Not Be Televised: Democratic National Convention, 1968, a committee he had been dreaming about since he first competed in a crisis committee as a junior in high school. The resulting committee was Carson’s favorite memory out of all the time he spent on the circuit.
Outside of Model UN, if he’s not at a Demosthenian Literary Society meeting, you can probably find Carson rooting for the Braves, playing Mario Kart, scouring thrift store shelves for new outrageous outfits, watching movies, or making niche Spotify playlists for extremely specific situations. UGA Model UN will certainly miss Carson’s presence on the team, and wish him luck in all future endeavors after he retires from the circuit!
Charlie Abbott
McGill University
Charlie is a graduating senior studying Philosophy with a minor in Computer Science. He’s been on our Delegation Team since the beginning of his freshman year, and over his four years he has grown into an incredible pillar of our community and a friend to many of us. Charlie has served as the Director of Crisis for our team, as the Deputy USG of Crisis Committees for our high school conference SSUNS, and notably as the crisis overlord for this year’s Venice vs. Cannes film festival Joint Crisis Committee. As the director of this committee, he gave his delegates an unforgettable experience, including the premiere of such instant cult classics as Bossferatu, and of course the Timothee Chalamet lookalike competition. Charlie is a ray of light on our team, bringing both a levity and dedication to every role he steps into. He’s exceptionally perceptive and caring, and he’ll be a sorely missed member of our community.
Drishti Gupta
University of California, Berkeley
As a fourth-year Data Science major, Drishti led UCBMUN’s General Assembly delegates with unmatched poise and power. As our beloved GA Head Delegate, Drishti consistently stood out for her sharp bloc analysis, poised speech delivery, and commanding presence, earning accolades at conferences like BARMUN, HNMUN, and LAMUN — where she competed in huge double-delegate committees not once, but three times over the academic year. Known for her triple-merge finesse and unshakeable argumentation, Drishti is the kind of delegate who captures the respect — and often the support — of everyone in the room. This year, she chaired UCBMUN’s Ad-Hoc of the Director-General, a high-stakes committee that challenged delegates by splitting them from their original partners and reassigning them to new ones, forcing delegates out of their comfort zones. But beyond awards and committee inventiveness, Drishti has helped cultivate a club culture that promotes confidence and collaboration, mentoring countless new members and proving that GA is, in fact, enjoyable. After graduating, she will be heading to San Diego to begin her next chapter as a software engineer at Apple – but her impact on the team will continue to shape UCBMUN for years to come.
Harsh Kumbhat
University of California, Berkeley
Harsh’s creative and inspiring presence has made a lasting impression on UCBMUN and the entire circuit since he joined four years ago. From leading the 28th iteration of UCBMUN as Secretary General to mentoring our members as Crisis Head Delegate, Harsh has undoubtedly made his mark. Beyond his leadership roles, Harsh has excelled as a delegate and staffer. As the Chair of the SG ADHOC at UCBMUN XXIX, his deep passion for innovative storytelling and writing helped shape one of the most engaging and entertaining committees on the circuit. Recognized as one of the strongest Secretary Generals this club has seen, Harsh has shown a strong capacity for leadership, originality, inventiveness, and skill. Beyond this club, Harsh’s creative spirit continues to flourish. After recently graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in Film and Creative Writing, he is planning to attend Columbia University in pursuit of an MFA, where he can perhaps continue his backroom pursuits in his future films. While we love his imaginative spirit, it’s Harsh’s dedication and kindness that we’ll miss most. His ability to make anyone laugh, his capacity to train any member into a strong delegate, and his willingness to offer a helping hand to those who need it have made him an essential part of our community at UCBMUN. This award is just one of many reflections of his amazing character. Without a doubt, the teams on the circuit, especially UCBMUN, will feel his absence and remember his impact. Although we’ll miss him during post-GM Monday beers (of which he was a founding member) or for his tunnels, we wish him the best with his exciting endeavors in New York and can’t wait to see what he continues to accomplish and create in the future.
Isabella Torriani
University of California, Los Angeles
Repping the iconic green, red, and black suit, dominating conferences across the circuit, and running back-to-back Best Delegate honors, Isabella has cemented herself as one of the most creative, diligent, and quick-witted Crisis Directors on the circuit. From her passions of neuroscience and political science, anyone who knows her knows how passionate she is on her projects, and how caring she can be with her staffers. This year, delegates had the honor of participating in her LA Metro Board of Directors committee in LAMUN XX, where she encouraged delegates to navigate difficult public transportation development amid socio-political issues, while having them balance the difficulties of preparation for the Olympics—all in a while that redefined crisis committees.
Isabella—you are among the best Model UN has to offer, and UCLA is privileged to have you on our side. Congratulations on this amazing honor AGAIN and we are so happy for you and to have you. Keep on eating and keep on crisising.
Maddie Severy
Florida State University
In her third and final year on the collegiate Model UN circuit, Maddie Severy has proven to be an incredible mentor, a fantastic delegate, and best friend to all in the World Affairs Program. As one of the directors and head delegates on the leadership team, Maddie went above and beyond to embody humility, guidance, and slay-ness, while exuding a contagious aura of cheerfulness and an unmatched aux. In February 2025, Maddie put down the placard and collected the pads, directing the Ad-Hoc of the Secretary General at NoleMUN IV. Transporting delegates back to the Italian Renaissance in the 15th century, Maddie encouraged delegates to explore a time period often overlooked on the circuit. Whether it was overseeing the building of domes, letting delegates loose in arts and crafts to make banners, or repping ACF Fiorentina for the ENTIRE committee, Maddie made sure that delegates were following their principles by being creatively engaged and encouraged them to push the boundaries of their imagination. As a delegate, Maddie repped the same principles. If you have ever been in committee with Maddie, you might recognize her creative crisis breaks like the Leftists (shoutout to all of the left-handed people out there!), moving committee to an upstairs city, or literally re-writing classical music pieces chord by chord and note by note. Her persistent effort was not for nothing, as after 12 total conferences to end her collegiate career, Maddie has finished with an incredible individual ratio of 3.0, while not blanking this entire year. Outside of committee, Maddie can be found making coffees at Argonaut (best coffee in Tallahassee), expanding her vinyl collection, and throwing down house for only the best of functions. Maddie is cherished by all for her unmatched dedication to helping others. Maddie, the World Affairs Program is so proud of your achievements, and we are beyond grateful for your *literal* blood, sweat, and tears that you have given to this program. You are an inspiration to all of us. Go Noles!
Margaret Bowles
Harvard College
Noelle Morey
University of Florida
No one else could make a committee on algae blooms and national parks feel like the most exciting room on the circuit—but then again, no one else is Noelle Morey. A rising senior and the current President of UF Model United Nations, Noelle brought eight years of MUN experience, unmatched poise, and genuine passion to her first-ever specialized committee—and it showed. From the moment committee began, her delegates could feel how much care and creativity she put into every update, and they were inspired to put their all in each session. She created a space where delegates felt encouraged to be both thoughtful and bold, blending the serious and the fun in a way that made this room stand out. Even after years as one of our most trusted GA competitors, she stepped out of her comfort zone and absolutely thrived. Outside of our team, Noelle was honored by the Naples Council on World Affairs (an affiliate sponsor of the largest conference in Southwest Florida) and continues to be invited back to chair each spring, a recognition of her talent, experience, and leadership. Noelle may not travel the circuit often, but when she’s in the room, she makes an impression. Whether it’s her natural command, eloquence, or her iconic tattoos, she’s someone you remember. More than anything, her committee was a reflection of who she is: thoughtful, genuine, and inspirational.
Raghu Kommalapaty
University of California, Los Angeles
Like a (little shining) star in the night sky, Raghu Kommalapaty is a name that adds a layer of aura to this already-studded list. Weathering red-eye flights and a game-day injury, he served as UCLA MUN’s Director of Training with distinction, making his way to nearly ten conferences where he not only led and trained our team but also served as the life of the party. We could argue that what makes him special and earned him his place on this list is his numerous awards and gavels—and, mind you, he has quite a few—or the amazing and successful committees he has run over the years or the outstanding leadership he has showcased on the daily. However, what truly earned him his place here is his outgoing nature and inherent kindness. His ability to socialize and charm makes even the most antisocial of us feel like we have known him for ages. He can walk into any committee room and suddenly be friends with everyone. Outside of arguing to get on author’s panel, he is the kindest person you will ever meet and always helps a friend in need. As a big softie—even though he denies it—Raghu always lends an ear for any problems you might have and gives excellent advice. As he graduates from the top public school in the country with a degree in Economics, he will leave a larger-than-life void on our team and on the circuit. Wherever he goes post-college (i.e Boston) and whatever he does, he will excel; hopefully by then, he will have regained feeling in his toes.
Rebecca D’Souza
Concordia University
Rebecca’s MUN journey began in the Middle East, but over the past year, she’s found her stride on the North American circuit. Through fierce debate and quick adaptation, she gavelled at her first ever North American conference. Though she’s often found in GA committees, Rebecca shines brightest in specialized agencies, especially when there’s a hint of crisis to keep things interesting.
Known for pop culture references into sharp, memorable speeches, she’s taken on roles ranging from EU heads of state to U.S. Senators as part of the Concordia External Delegation.
As Training Director, Rebecca has loved the chance to mentor and inspire new delegates, passing on the same excitement and confidence that first drew her into MUN.
At CONMUN 2025, she had the honor of chairing the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, where her deep interest in climate policy met her MUN expertise in a powerful discussion on Urban Water Scarcity.
Whether she’s behind the chairing desk or on the floor delivering a fiery speech, Rebecca brings heart, humor, and a relentless drive to every committee she joins!
Ryan Slage
Florida State University
Ryan Slage, an upcoming 4th year delegate, is a sigh of fresh, informed, and comical air amidst what is sometimes stressful debate. He has shown resilience, patience, and immense dedication to the World Affairs Program, while still juggling being a member of FSU’s Marching Chiefs and a recent addition to FSU’s chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. Whether it be drafting NoleMUN IV’s longest background guide, or holding a full conversation of the what if’s of his development journey for the game Hearts of Iron, Ryan is undeniably a bank of knowledge and creativity. Most clearly demonstrated from his CD work for NoleMUN’s 1934 Long March Committee, Ryan’s imagination and energy rubs off on others, and his band of staffers provided that same charm for delegates thanks to the informed, fun spin put onto the path of this part of history. Should you meet Ryan at a social, witness his unique cadence during a crisis update, or catch him in the halls of a conference, you’ll instantly notice his authenticity, spontaneity, and Beats headphones; an homage to his love of all things music. He is truly, in all sense of the phrase, one of a kind, and WAP at FSU is honored to have our food-loving, music-producing, crisis arc-cooking Ryan Slage at every turn; smiling and rearing to come up with the next big idea. TRUE!!
Samantha Lyle
University of California, Los Angeles
Chairing MUN at UCLA’s first ever dual delegate Ad Hoc is no small feat—and yet famous Las Vegas resident Samantha Lyle makes it look easy! As the chair of the 2252 Kenmare Climate Advisory Council side of the Ad Hoc, Sam brought both organization and liveliness to the dais, balancing fast-paced debate with her unwavering commitment to delegate experience. Her laid-back vibe and delegate-first approach made her not only an effective chair, but a fan favorite among Ad Hoc participants. Outside of committee, her impact is just as impressive—she served as MUN at UCLA’s Director of Technology, maintaining all three of UCLAMUN’s beautiful websites, the pristine Slack Workspace, and Google Admin system. We can’t wait to see her apply her money skills as the upcoming Director of Finance (and her frolicking skills as the totally real director of adventure)! Whether she’s resolving a tech issue mid-conference, or rock climbing with UCLA’s climbing team, Sam brings unmatched positivity and fun vibes to everything she does.
Senthil Meyyappan
Boston University
Senthil Meyyappan is a graduating senior at BU, studying International Relations, Political Science, and Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights studies. If you think his majors are a mouthful, try counting the committees he’s gaveled. Following a successful reign as Co-Head Delegate of MUN@BU, Senthil served as the President of BU’s International Affairs Association and the Director General of BosMUN, their high school conference. When he’s not drafting resolutions or speaking very loudly, he’s still thinking about MUN. If belting Sabrina Carpenter at socials wasn’t an indicator, Senthil loved to work hard and play hard, a mantra he’s brought to his team. Not only has he had a huge impact on MUN@BU, he’s also had a large impact on the circuit! We are going to miss Senthil as he goes to law school, but if his ability to persuade people to give him Q&A can translate to persuading a jury, we all know who to call if we get in legal trouble.
Skyler Bohnert
McGill University
Skyler is a graduating senior studying Honours Political Science and History. He has been a member of McGill’s Delegation Team for three years, and this was his third McMUN. Skyler has served our community with selflessness and dedication, as a member of the secretariat for McMUN’s sister conference, SSUNS, as a member of our team’s executive council, and most recently as the president of our parent organization, the International Relations Students Association of McGill. As the crisis director of McMUN’s inaugural non-traditional crisis committee, he brought his characteristic charm, creativity, and attentiveness to the needs of those around him to create an unforgettable experience for the delegates. Skyler is known on the circuit for the warmth, originality, and humour he brings to every committee. More importantly, however, he will be remembered and missed at McGill as a mentor for younger delegates, a caring and dedicated friend, and as someone who worked tirelessly for the benefit of those around him. We wish him the best of luck at law school, and have complete faith in the brightness of his future.
Thibaut Stussi
Boston University
Thibaut Stussi was the Crisis Director for BarMUN XVII’s Ad Hoc of the Secretary General. He is a fourth year at the Boston University Pardee School of Global Studies and is now finishing his term as Vice President of the BU International Affairs Association. Other than being French, lying about being the brother of Andrew Severance, and doing Model UN, you will always find Thibaut writing his thesis on the privatization of space-based platforms. Having served multiple times on BUIAA E-Board, MUN@BU Director’s Board, and Secretariat, Thibaut’s time at BU is cherished and appreciated by everyone, and BUIAA will be sad to see him go!
Anna Falcone
University of Chicago
As somebody who previously worked at a canine sanctuary, Anna Christina Halligan Falcone truly embodies what it means to be a sigma wolf. Her unique style of leadership — sincere, serene, and self-assured — has led her to shine not only as a delegate on the circuit, but also as one of the Co-Presidents of the UChicago team this year. Her presence on the circuit is unparalleled, from her skills as a delegate (a triple-gavel streak to start off the year!) to being a mentor figure not only for the team but also for delegates across the circuit. This isn’t even to mention Anna’s generational performance as Mayor Michael in chairing (and crisis directing!) ChoMUN’s flagship committee, the Ad Hoc of the Secretary-General, this year. Her leadership has helped train the next generation of UChicago delegates, teaching not just the skills of Model UN but also the je ne sais quoi of aura. As somebody who has put in so much of themselves to making both UChicago and the Model UN circuit great, Anna will be sorely missed next year, by the team and by the many people on the circuit who love her. Enjoy the glue factory!
Anzhu Wei
McGill University
Anzhu is a graduating senior studying Geography and Urban Studies at McGill. He joined the Delegation Team in his first year and has spent the last four years as an indispensable member of the team; it won’t be the same without him. He is also absolutely hilarious and always down for a mischievous side quest, making him one of the most fun people to travel with. At McGill Anzhu is leaving behind an incredible legacy in the MUN community, having served as the Secretary General of McGill’s highschool conference, SSUNS. In this role he inspired those he led and created an enjoyable and educational environment for the young delegates who attended. And on the circuit, he leaves behind a legacy as a formidable delegate and phenomenal chair. Serving as the Chair of the AdHoc committee at McMUN 2025, Anzhu’s creativity, extensive Model UN knowledge, and enthusiasm led him to develop a truly iconic Specialized Ad Hoc committee, which put delegates in a whimsical literary world, and was widely enjoyed and remembered by those who had the privilege of competing in it. The circuit, McMUN delegates, and most of all, our McGill Model UN community will surely miss him next year.
Arhant Ghanta
University of California, Berkeley
Arhant is truly one of the kindest people in UCBMUN. He is the type of person whose presence lights up the entire room the moment he walks in. His tenure in UCBMUN has included serving on the Secretariat of our high school conference, BearMUN, and in the past year, on our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee. In this past iteration of UCBMUN, he served as a chair for the World Health Organization General Assembly committee, pioneering committee topics about vaccine equity and anti microbial resistance. What sets Arhant apart, however, is his spirit. Whether he’s checking in on a new member, cracking a joke that leaves our retreat car cackling, or noticing Massachusetts license plates on the road (he’s from Boston), he leads with humility, honor, and heart. His deep empathy has made him not only a strong leader, but a trusted friend to many in UCBMUN. Arhant will be graduating from UC Berkeley this year with a double major in Molecular and Cell Biology and Public Health with a minor in Political Economy. After college, he’s hoping to attend medical school and pursue a career that bridges clinical care, public health, and biomedical research. We’re so grateful for everything Arhant has brought to UCBMUN and while we’ll miss him so much, we’re excited to see all the incredible things he’ll go on to do in the future!
Caleb Lantz
University of Tennessee – Knoxville
Caleb is a Senior Theatre & History double major at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. He served as UTKMUN’s Vice President & head delegate from 2022 to 2025, and won 8 awards in that time, including 3 gavels. This year he won an Outstanding at UNCMUNC & a Verbal at ChoMUN. He has enjoyed his time on the circuit but is more than looking forward to retirement. Go Vols!
Calvin Osborne
Harvard College
Christina Mueller
University of California, Berkeley
A third-year Political Science student, Christina guided UCBMUN through one of its most challenging years as the organization’s president. Under her steady leadership, the team earned a plethora of awards, and Christina herself shattered her gavel curse by earning her first two gavels – once at BarMUN and once again at HNMUN – two of the toughest conferences on the circuit. An electric speaker with flawless delivery and a Parli Pro expert, Christina chaired UCBMUN’s giant ILO committee, while setting the bar high for every speech our team aspired to deliver. Beyond individual accolades, Christina forged an enduring, collaborative club culture – one that empowers every delegate to develop and thrive. Off the circuit, Christina balances Model UN with teaching for Teach For America, bringing the same passion and mentorship to her students that she brings to our club. Known for her tireless work ethic, she’s the steady hand you call in a crisis and the inspiration behind one of our strongest delegations. This summer, she’ll retire from her presidency in Paris – but we all know UCBMUN wouldn’t hesitate to welcome her back in a heartbeat if she chose to run again.
Emme Lee
University of Florida
If you see someone walk into a crisis committee holding an iced matcha latte and one-too-many Miffy keychains, get ready to meet UF’s Miss Congeniality: Emme Lee.
This year, Emme stepped up as a crucial head delegate for UF’s team by traveling to BarMUN, DawgMUN, and LAMUN and directing at SunMUN III. Emme directed the Eat, Sleep, Crack On, Repeat: Love Island, 2025 spec crisis at SunMUN III. This mechanically magical committee featured cross-delegation dual delegate pairs “coupling up” to tackle the drama of reality TV, cheating scandals, and Category 5 hurricanes threatening to destroy the villa. Even among the shocking bombshells and dramatic monologues, Emme shined as a first time director. Her years of crisis experience, creativity, and pop culture knowledge contributed to one of SunMUN’s most well run and dynamic committees. She thanks her dedicated staff for cracking on with her vision: Rylee Gill, Joey Anhorn, Caitlin Deal, Cat Martinez-Wittingham, Clara Roman, Nicole Granda, and Amrita Puri.
Next year, Emme Lee will serve as UF Model UN’s Vice President, where she’ll be instrumental in another successful SunMUN. See you bevs there!
Harper Schwab
University of Chicago
As a wise person once put it, Harper is not just an excellent delegate, he’s an even better man. Leading the UChicago team as one of our Co-Presidents, Harper Wilcox Schwab (pretty slick last name, by the way) led not only in terms of mentorship to the UChicago team, but also in terms of the incredible kindness he embodies as a person. His warmth as a person and competence as a delegate were undoubtedly why his Kansas City Homeowners Association committee at ChoMUN was in such high demand! He is supportive, funny, and above all welcoming, and his leadership has been a big part of making the team so welcoming and inclusive. As a force and creative mind as a delegate and person, whether it’s been serving in Ad Hoc and UNSC jail, helping the team sketch out arcs, or getting up close to make sure that your bathroom floor is *squeaky* clean, if you need Harper, you can count on him. Harper will be sorely missed next year as a guiding presence on the circuit and for UChicago by all those whose lives he has touched, both at UChicago and on the broader circuit. Enjoy the glue factory!
Jackson Kuster
University of Miami
Creative accountants go to prison, but a creative chair means an unforgettable experience. As one of the rare accounting majors on the circuit, Jackson Kuster has always brought a unique view to world issues both as a traveling delegate for the University of Miami’s Model United Nation team and as a passionate dias member. His MUN journey began as a simple rapporteur at UM’s high school conference, MICSUN XI. Just a few months later and with three collegiate conferences under his belt, he had the honor of chairing 305 MUN II collegiate specialized committee. In this unique and fast-paced committee, delegates represented select airline members of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Jackson’s love for aviation shined through his crisis-style updates and through his emulation of IATA’s unique voting and procedural rules. Outside of the collegiate circuit, Jackson has also chaired a specialized historical United States Senate committee at MICSUN XII. In addition, he has chaired multiple High School and Middle School level general assembly committees for Florida Foundations For Leadership’s MDMUN. Jackson’s love for chairing will continue to shine next semester as a chair for 305MUN III single-delegate general assembly committee. He is looking forward to seeing you all in sunny and warm Coral Gables, Florida in October!!!!
Jacob Feser
Concordia University
Jacob Feser is a rising sophomore from Concordia University studying aerospace engineering with a minor in political science. Born in Ontario and raised in Tanzania and Kenya, he has led an extremely successful MUN career having only been on the circuit for a single year. From his first ever conference at CIAC XVI, he knew he was a crisis delegate with his often-racing brain leading him to the craziest crisis arcs. Although new to the circuit, Jacob is no stranger to excellence – having won at almost every conference he has been sent to!
From the shortest of shorts, to the longest of rants, he is an absolute pleasure to have on the team: travelling with him is short and sweet like his favourite artist ;). Jacob is the type to keep you awake until 5:00 AM, with all his genius arc ideas. But of course, he’ll start his preambles with “all I need is fifteen minutes” only for you to find yourself six hours deep about perhaps the most random topics.
His experience has led him to running perhaps the funniest committee ConMUN has ever seen. From writing whole thousand word fanfictions to his plethora of saved Nixon edits, Jacob gave it his all in the Fly Me To The Hughes; Turbulence and Fortune committee. Awarded the most creative crisis updates! His first year on the team has been nothing short of impressive, and we could not be more grateful to have him as a member of the Concordia External Delegation! It has been a pleasure to see him grow and we cannot wait to see what else he has in store!
Jacob Stein
Boston University
Jacob Stein is a graduating Senior in BUIAA studying Computer Science and Political Science with participation in the BA/MS program for Computer Science. After serving as BUIAA’s treasurer last year, he returned to staff BarMUN for his third time, this time serving as the Chair of the OpenAI Board of Directors Crisis Committee! As a long-time member of MUN@BU, he spent much of last year competing, and awarding, on the circuit, and returned to staff one of BarMUN’s most innovative committees to date. Not only did he, alongside Mason Carlucci, run a tight ship within committee, but introduced the mechanic of a “committee website” which introduced new vectors for interaction for in-room debate and backroom crisis arcs. Outside of MUN, he has worked on his thesis on testing consensus mechanisms on adversarial artificial intelligence models.
Lucia Gallo
Harvard College
Maria Zen Baxter
McGill University
Maria Zen-Baxter is a third-year at McGill, studying political science like many in MUN, but it is safe to say that McGill would be a very different team if it were not for our fearless leader and Head Delegate. After excelling as Director of Crisis last year, her transition to Head Delegate was a natural next step, one she embraced with her characteristic drive and dedication. From spending hours in the library, working with every single delegate on perfecting their crisis arc at ‘croffice’ hours, mentoring and guiding her Team Council, and being our favourite fake redhead, one could almost forget that Maria is an outstanding delegate herself. This year, her circuit highlights included competing in her first ad hoc, her first double del, her first (and the circuit’s first) double del ad hoc, and breaking the only record we can find for number of gavels on our team. Additionally, she acted as a crisis director for both our high school conference, SSUNS, and McMUN with great aplomb. We are so incredibly grateful for her leadership, tireless dedication, and extraordinary competence. Enjoy your retirement (as IRSAM President), M Aria!
Nicholas Campione
University of Florida
Nicholas Frank Campione’s love and knowledge of history is second to none. His passion eventually led him to do Model UN. With his natural curiosity and passion for learning, he made his way into UF’s teams, winning their hearts and their anger during his arguments. As treasurer for the past two years, he has used the knowledge of his double major in economics and political science to lead UFMUN into a new era of financial success, allowing the team to travel more than ever before and taking care of the members through his fatherly wisdom. During his tenure, he has also become one of UFMUN’s most successful delegates, placing at multiple conferences, most notably with his UNSC gavel at MUNE during his first conference freshmen year. At the same time, he has become one of UF’s most cherished directors, with him directing the UNSC at the high school conference GatorMUN and his alternate history 2nd Civil War committee at SunMUN, where he shocked everyone with funky mechanics and trade agreements, including some that left the country in quadrillions of dollars in debt. As he goes into his senior year, he is interning at a congressman’s office in Washington D.C. during the summer, following his dreams of going into politics, and going into the fall he will be traveling across Europe to study abroad, leaving not only a mark in the club, but a legacy for the future.
Paloma Corona
University of California, Berkeley
Paloma Corona is a junior double majoring in Molecular & Cell Biology and Cognitive Science. Originally from Mexico, she dove head first into UCBMUN this year and picked up collegiate Model UN faster than anyone expected and competed at some of the hardest GAs the circuit has to offer. When she co-chaired the Ad-Hoc Committee of the Director General – her very first time chairing at this level – she somehow kept her cool amidst last minute delegate swaps, cutting, and sorting dozens of clue cards well into the night. A pre-med powerhouse who lives and breathes model UN, Paloma’s infectious enthusiasm and knack for building connections make her the go-to peacekeeper in any room– she could chat with you for hours, and still ask “So, what’s next?”. Outside of committee, she’s clocking in miles training for the Chicago Marathon. We’re thrilled she’ll be stepping into the role of GA Head Delegate next semester – UCBMUN is so lucky to have her leading the charge
Rhea Kanuparthi
University of Chicago
There’s truly no one who can “watch this drive” better than Rhea Kanuparthi, nor anyone who has a more encyclopedic knowledge of nuclear weapons and American geopolitics. In addition to being an absolute tour de force on the circuit, this year, she briefly stepped away from competing to serve as the CD for ChoMUN UNSC. And yes, she truly did “serve.” There, she deftly and singlehandedly steered the committee through cults, environmental disasters, and of course, nuclear emergencies. Rhea is a rising junior at the University of Chicago studying Political Science and Mathematics and will be serving as the UChicago Head Delegate next year. In this role, she will make theatrical crisis speeches (her passion!), write countless directives about triages, and grab lunch at Medici afterwards. We cannot wait to see what she has up her sleeve next year, when she returns as a ChoMUN CD!
Rishit Pradhan
University of California, Berkeley
Rishit Pradhan has an affinity for boats. From his dreams of a yacht party for our club to his success as Crisis Director for the British Anarchy, he likes to dive deep into the waters of responsibility and commitment when it comes to UCBMUN. Joining almost 2 years ago, Rishit has been a vital figure in the club’s community. If anyone in this club could make you laugh while you simultaneously question his thought process, it’s Rishit. However, he isn’t just funny- he’s also extremely competent! His intelligence and humor set sail to an amazing committee that delegates wholeheartedly enjoyed. From update planning to the committee slack’s “Town Square Updates”- a channel where delegates could post as if it were Twitter, Rishit balanced organization and planning with fun shenanigans. His feedback was insightful and his conversations with delegates were nothing short of professional and friendly. The upbeat, bubbly and downright silly personality he brings to the committee room is exactly what our organization values. We’re so excited to see what he does in the future in relation to MUN, and we’re always at the edge of our seats when he takes the steering wheel, or when he’s about to speak.
Sara Mendez Arango
Florida State University
If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting Sara Mendez Arango, then you would know that she is a fierceless competitor, a great friend, and a relentless advocate. For the past two years, Sara has proven herself to not just be a force to be reckoned with when competing, but also a dynamic and incredible CD who challenges delegates to bring the best out of themselves. This year, NoleMUN IV had the pleasure of having Sara direct the “Who Do You Know Here? The 1776 Bavarian Illuminati” committee. Sara gave delegates an unmatched experience as they took a deep dive into the beginning of the *mysterious and spooky* Illuminati. Even though this committee premise took place over two centuries ago, Sara guided delegates to tackle this world with grace and expertise. From creative note responses, wacky crisis updates, banter between all, and everything in-between, Sara excelled at making sure delegates’ time in Tallahassee was worth it. Beyond her competence at running a committee, Sara’s tireless dedication to her staffers is a testament to who she is as a person. Always making sure that their needs were being met, Sara embodies what the World Affairs Program means to so many of us. Sara isn’t just an amazing person inside Model UN. Her ability to uplift others by means of a personalized card, encouraging words, or finding light in the darkest of times is a skill that many wish to have. Outside of committee, Sara can often be found discovering new music, painting or drawing new art, and enlightening us all with deep Colombian history. Sara, the World Affairs Program adores you and continues to be amazed by the passion you hold for everything you do. Go Noles!

Sean Manning
University of Georgia
Sean Manning is a graduating senior at the University of Georgia double-majoring in International Affairs and Economics with a minor in Arabic. Sean both competes across the circuit and runs committees at UGA’s two conferences, ArchMUN and UGAMUNC. Sean served as the Secretary-General of UGA Model UN in the 2024-2025 season. In the 2024-2025 season, he crisis directed DawgMUN II’s “Is It Casual Now?: Situationship 2024” committee and chaired UGAMUNC’s Security Council committee. He enjoys being involved around UGA’s campus and, outside of MUN, is a member of the Student Government Association and Richard B. Russell Security Leadership Program. When he’s not talking, you can find him with his airpods in listening to Lana Del Rey, Maude Latour, or Lucy Dacus. After graduation, Sean will be moving to DC to partake in the Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship.
Vikram Bharadwaj
University of Georgia
“ARIGATO” as Vikram enters the room. His presence has already been felt. The aura that encapsulates his surroundings is one that is admired by many. It’s wondered by many how one can achieve a level like this. For starters, Vikram Bharadwaj is a Political Science & Health Promotion Double Major, and Japanese Lang. and Lit., International Affairs, & Public Health Minor. Yes, you read that right. His mind is comparable to that of Jackson Pollock; being able to create abstract art that has a deeper meaning, while allowing the average mind to interpret the picture that’s painted. Some even call him Derrick Henry, as he is a freak of nature and a force to be reckoned with. He is a constant Light in our team, making sure that we are ok even when we take L’s inside and outside of committee. We are extremely lucky to have a friend such as Vikram on our team, and the circuit will not be able to prepare itself for the auramaxxing he is going to achieve this upcoming year.
Zoe Zhu
University of Chicago
Sometimes it takes one to know one, and Zoe for sure knows a UNSC. After spending what we would call research time within a few, Zoe poured her heart and soul into making sure this year’s ChoMUN UNSC was an amazing experience for every delegate. One way you may know if you were in committee with Zoe is if you heard a noise filling the awkward silences of the committee sessions. Besides running this committee, Zoe spent this year as a vice-president of the UChicago Team. Her ability to make many on the team feel included and excited to compete was felt throughout the year. Zoe is an amazing friend to everyone on the team, even when she spends hours talking about consulting recruiting or epistemic skepticism. We know she always has our back, and we cannot be prouder of her!
Purpose: The purpose of the North American Collegiate Model UN All-Star Team is to recognize exemplary individuals in the college MUN community who have made a difference inside and outside of committee. These sometimes represent but are not necessarily limited to just the best delegates or award winners; conferences already determine those accolades. Rather, the College MUN All-Star Team should be representative of the best and most respected leaders in the community. They are diplomatic and skilled in committee, help strengthen the relationships between schools, provide thoughtful leadership, and make the Model UN experience better for everyone.
Process: College students who participated in at least one college Model United Nations conference in North America were eligible to submit one nomination form of up to seven students on the college circuit. Because of the All-Star Team’s emphasis on community, students were only allowed to nominate up to two delegates from their own school and were not allowed to nominate themselves. Each nominated name received one vote. Ballots were manually edited for spelling inconsistencies and manually checked for validity. Delegates receiving the top number of votes were given All-Star team honors divided into three tiers that reflect the percentage of votes received.
Thank you to all the individuals who contributed biographies, and thanks to everyone on the circuit for participating in recognizing their peers for leadership in the community! This year’s biographers represented some of the top delegates on the circuit that were friends, teammates, and competitors of All-Star Team members.

All names are in alphabetical order by first name within each tier.
Caroline Dupas
Georgetown University
If you’ve competed in a GA over the past two years, there’s a 99% chance that you know Caroline Dupas. Given her knack for statistics-based speech hooks, it only felt right to open her bio with one. In just two years, Caroline has taken the circuit by storm. She has conquered a diverse range of committees, from double delegate GAs to single delegate spad-hocs and GAd-hocs alike. This year, she picked up gavels across five conferences – BarMUN, UPMUNC, VICS, &MUN, and ChoMUN – adding to her grand total of seven. When she isn’t sporting her iconic Q&A dress or writing the most substantive clauses on the circuit, Caroline is training and preparing the next generation of the team’s delegates as a member of the Georgetown University Model United Nations (GUMUN) Conferences Staff. Members of GUMUN know Caroline not only as a dedicated coach and friend, but as an expert in niche topics such as space affairs, NLE Choppa’s discography and Italian brainrot. Additionally, Caroline spent this past year serving as NCSC LII’s USG of Councils and Boards and is currently serving as NCSC LIII’s Secretary-General. We can’t wait to watch Caroline guide both NCSC and GUMUN to new heights, as her future on the team and on the circuit is looking ever so bright.
Faith Farley
George Washington University
Faith Farley is the kind of leader that gets the job done. Whether she’s dominating every UNSC or ADHOC committee she steps into or stepping up to grind through a brutal four-week, back-to-back conference schedule, Faith has always put her team first. Her dedication over the past three years has made an unforgettable impact on GW’s MUN team, both on and off the competitive circuit.
Faith’s commitment goes far beyond winning awards. She’s always willing to help freshmen prep for conferences and is the first to stay late after meetings to hear more about improving the team. She’s not just someone you go to for feedback on arc or directive writing— she’s someone people turn to for real advice, mentorship, and genuine support when it matters most. Faith has never thrown away her shot to lift others up and lead by example.
Through her leadership, Faith has set a standard of excellence, compassion, and resilience that will continue to shape this team long after her time here. Her presence and leadership on the circuit have made a significant impact, gavelling almost every committee she’s been in and ending the year with a CHOMUN UNSC gavel, no less! Faith is a role model, a mentor, and a true cornerstone of this team’s spirit. She loves the team like no other, and will always be considered a friend for life, we love you Jaith Jarley… I meant Faith Farley<3.
Jason Salguero
Florida International University
Are they a muppet or a man? Although many questions surround this mysterious figure, one thing we DO know about Jason is their profound impact on both the circuit and the FIU Model UN Team. Feminist literature in one hand and masterful clauses in the other, Jason dominated their time on the circuit with finesse and poise. Committee with Jason is special. It’s one with fierce speeches, a fiery Q&A, and a game of sticky note tic-tac-toe to lighten the mood after a tense unmod. In their time on the circuit, they spent it de-dollarizing single-del GAs, never blanking in a UNSC (which to them, is technically a dual-del GA), and picking up the 2-notepad system in Crisis committees to show true dynamism as a delegate–and in all these roles, Jason showcased the grit, strength, and awarding-prowess an FIU panther always embodies. Jason isn’t just an awarding delegate, though. Their tenure as head delegate demonstrated a true leader through and through. Debrief in their room filled with takeout and good vibes that would last until 2am, this team knows Jason always dedicated themself to our overall success, ultimately leading the FIU Model UN Team to a fantastic year culminating in an amazing FIVE delegation awards for our team. Beyond the circuit, Jason also served as Secretary-General of FIMUN 36, FIU’s high school conference. They’ve given their blood, sweat, and tears, and we’re all the more grateful for it. And even when the circuit fears their Author’s Panel questions, the one we’re always happy to answer with a resounding yes is, “…sweet treat?”
Katie Thurman
University of San Francisco
An icon. A legend. The moment. This is the way Katie Thurman’s friends describe her. Whether you’ve interacted with Katie once or a dozen times, she is an invariable delight to compete and kiki with. Katie has explored almost every type of committee over the past four years, including the infamous ChoMUN double-del GA, not-so-traditional crises like the UCBMUN Beverly Hills Homeowners Association, and the LAMUN Ad Hoc. She served as president this year, and vice president to frequent double del and good friend Yja Cummings last year. She holds the record for highest career points in the school’s history, and as head delegate has helped the small team secure a spot in the Top 75 for the past two years, after going unranked prior. A skill not many delegates have, Katie serves in committee just as often as out of it, infamous for her Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent. Her team knows her best for her fantastic film photos (check out @kthurpics) and her fun loving attitude working in San Francisco’s Castro District. KThur, as she is affectionately known, will be greatly missed by teammates and circuit friends alike. Good luck with those summer classes girl!
Koushik Ramakrishnan
University of Georgia
UGAMUN’s Head Delegate of Training (and our resident Dragon) Kris has scorched the competition on the circuit with his legendary Ad-Hoc performances, earning gavels at competitive conferences where only the bravest delegates survive.
But Kris isn’t just an amazing MUN competitor; he’s the kind of leader who brings out the best in every delegate he trains. Whether you’re a nervous freshman or a returning member, he somehow knows exactly how to push you just the right amount — sometimes with encouragement, sometimes with Chipotle analogies, and sometimes just by belting out Titanium with zero hesitation and full vocal commitment.
As the architect of UGAMUN’s training program, Kris took a team with potential and forged a competitive force, built on passion, grit, and a seemingly endless supply of wildly creative crisis arcs. Throughout his time on UGAMUN’s Secretariat, Kris didn’t just train delegates, he empowered them to find their voice and step into every room with confidence. He leads not just with strategy, but with empathy, loyalty, and the kind of integrity that can’t be taught in a training doc.
Kris is now off to conquer D.C. — a city we’re not sure is ready for the Dragon. UGAMUN won’t be the same without him, and we already miss the adrenaline rush of watching him walk into a crisis room roughly 10 minutes after demolishing a 5-stack of buttermilk pancakes. Thank you, Kris, for showing us what it looks like to lead with both excellence and heart. Your presence raised the bar for everyone around you, and your impact will be felt long after you graduate. We can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes you!!!
Maria Zen-Baxter
Riley Bryant
New York University
Riley is a graduating senior double majoring in International Relations and Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies. After 10 years doing Model UN and a near-perfect collegiate conference record, we are excited to wish her off to graduate school at Johns Hopkins SAIS!
Vihaan Ambre
Virginia Tech
Vihaan is a recent Computer Science grad from Virginia Tech, but you wouldn’t be able to tell because the minute he steps into committee, he abandons his CS major social skills to become an absolute force on the circuit. Since joining his Freshman year, Vihaan has been a driving force in VTMUN’s growth and success over the last 4 years. Under his Presidency, VTMUN has hosted its first 3 of (hopefully) many conferences, including its inaugural collegiate MUN conference, BIRDMUNC I, where he served as USG-Committees and UDG-Technology, while simultaneously running the Ad-Hoc.
Over the years, Vihaan has fostered an environment of confidence, passion, and principle at VTMUN and across the Southern circuit. Vihaan has always provided croissants, donuts, energy drinks, what have you, on conference mornings… while still finishing his homework last minute at the Red Roof Inn. The dedication to his team has shone through his competitive record. Some even label him as the “Crisis King of the South”, with awards in ad-hocs, UNSC, and more, there’s really no committee that’s out of his ballpark.
Outside of MUN, Vihaan was also active at Virginia Tech Mock Trial, and enjoys baking and cooking (sometimes for MUN@VT fundraisers). After graduation, Vihaan plans to go to law school after some time at IBM. Him and his Blue Hawaiian shirt at closings will be missed dearly! Vihaan, you are the backbone of Model United Nations at Virginia Tech and we will always appreciate how much love you have put into the team.
Wretam Purkayastha
George Washington University
Wretam Purkayastha joined the team last year and quickly stood out as a dedicated and dependable delegate! He truly has a passion for mun and brings that energy into everything he does whether it’s teaching cadets or competing on the circuit. If you competed in an adhoc this past year, you’ve definitely seen Wretam there since he’s stuck in ad hoc jail. He is GWMUN’s crisis guru and is constantly teaching the cadets all of the crisis tips and tricks. If you run into him on a conference, he has his Saratoga Springs water bottle ready and will definitely make a cringy speech using it as a prop. In all seriousness Wretam is the team’s heart and his fun energy is contagious. Wretam is the best vice head delegate GWMUN could ever have!! We are so proud of all he accomplished this year and can’t wait to see what he does next year as vice head delegate again!! GWMUN loves you Wretam and is incredibly lucky to have you!!
Becca Golden
University of Georgia
The queen of the gavel, Becca Golden is a rising fourth-year at UGA majoring in Environmental Economics and Management with a minor in Environmental Law and Urban Planning. She has competed in Model UN for three years while making friends (and getting awards) all across the circuit. As busy as she is with MUN, you can also find her playing volleyball with friends, hiking, and attending concerts. She will happily give you some song recommendations by Hozier, the Brummies, and Megan Thee Stallion if you’re ever in need. Despite her rigorous commitment to the team this past year, she’s taking a slight step back from traveling across the circuit. Regardless, This means she will be more ready than ever to get that gavel when the time comes! Don’t be worried if she wants to JPD Marry you by the way, she promises it’s just for fun. We are incredibly lucky to have Becca on our team and can’t wait to see everything she will do this year!
Connor Larson
Fordham University
Connor Larson is a graduating Senior from Fordham University, studying International Political Economy. He served as FUMUN’s President this Spring, leading the club to their best year in team history and helping them earn four delegation awards along the way. Despite only joining the team as a second semester sophomore, he has played a major role in Fordham’s sharp rise on the circuit. As a delegate, Connor had a slow start to his junior year, but after learning everything he possibly could about crisis committees he never looked back, finishing his career with seven consecutive awards and retiring as FUMUN’s all-time leading scorer. Connor’s own performances as a delegate, contributions as an E-Board member, and his ambitious vision for Fordham’s team has cemented him as a FUMUN legend. His club leadership has been an example to follow for new members and carried a particular degree of professionalism, all while relentlessly making MUN puns, NBA analogies, and analyzing circuit results. Perhaps the story that can best describe him is after earning a gavel, he simply claimed “job’s not finished” only to gavel once again 6 days later at the following conference. FUMUN will miss Connor’s presence on the team, but are excited to see what he will accomplish in the future. After graduation, Connor will be staying in New York, pursuing his passion for International Affairs by working full time at the Council on Foreign Relations.
Diego Balda
University of Miami
Diego Balda, a junior at the University of Miami studying biomedical engineering, brings the warmth of his hometown Caracas, Venezuela along with distinctive sass and humor that have become his trademark. Known for quick wit and hilarious remarks that win over even the most serious committees, Diego has earned gavels from elite conferences including BARMUN, McMUN, HNMUN, LAMUN, and CHOMUN. With a record-setting 4.14 ratio this year, the highest average in club history, Diego has proven himself a formidable competitor in any committee room. The JCC warrior is instantly recognizable by his leather jacket, sunglasses, and White Monster as he transforms crisis committees with creative narrative arcs that impress chairs, crisis directors, and fellow delegates alike. While balancing responsibilities including his research and administrative position at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine & Jackson Memorial Hospital, Diego has become well-known for mentoring newer team members with supportive yet sassy feedback crucial to their development. Before important sessions, you’ll find him rallying the Miami delegation with his go-to hype track, “Nosebleeds” by Doechii, setting the perfect tone for success. As Miami’s incoming Head Delegate, Diego balances competitive edge with genuine care for the team’s growth. His strategic brilliance continues to elevate Miami’s standing in the Model UN community. The team looks forward to seeing how his leadership will shape their future success, though they may need to stock up on caffeinated drinks to keep pace with their energetic new leader.
Hayden Dunson
New York University
Hailing from Austin, Texas, Hayden Dunson is a senior majoring in Public Policy at NYU Wagner. His knowledge of policies extends not only to the classroom, but is also applied throughout his life – especially within his incredible MUN strategies.
The brightest stars burn the fastest. And although Hayden started his Model UN career in seventh grade, NYUMUN was only blessed with his presence last year. However even though he has only competed as a delegate this year Hayden has attended 6 conferences and achieved a realm of spectacular results. He gaveled twice at CIAC and CMUNNY, and awarded at the UCBMUN JCC. In a brief stint as head delegate, Hayden led NYU’s team in winning Outstanding Small Delegation in CIAC. Even when representing a brutal gang leader or a greedy oil tycoon, Hayden’s charming personality compels those around to working with him. Hayden excels in the intersection of Model UN and History, and kicks ass in committees set in the 20th century.
Hayden is also a prominent figure within the NYUMUN conference branches and has served as our USG of Staff Affairs at NYUMUNC 16, the Chair of UNHRC at EmpireMUNC XI, and the Chair of Cory Aquino at NYUMUNC 15. He is always the most energetic and upbeat person in any room and his presence will be greatly missed when he graduates this year. Whether it’s no longer hearing him belt Frank Sinatra at ungodly hours, lamenting the never-ending losses Dallas teams face or genuinely listening to your troubles with an open mind, Hayden carries the authentic personality and approachability all great MUN delegates should aspire to have, and all of us at NYU are so proud of his journey and where he will go.
Jenna Burtch
University of Maryland
Jenna is a senior at the University of Maryland, College Park graduating this spring with a B.A. in Government & Politics as well as a B.A. in Communications and a minor in rhetoric. A life long Marylander, Jenna has been involved in Model UN for nearly 8 years and has seen Maryland Model United Nations through its many phases and many many name changes. First serving as the USG of Media and Technology her freshman year, Jenna has fought tooth and nail to support UMDMUN’s efforts of building back its travel team and high school conference after suffering losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Later serving as the Director General, Secretary General, and now Co-President of UMDMUN alongside her partner in crime, Isra Qadri, Jenna has had the opportunity to build UMDMUN into the blossoming program it is today with the best and brightest freshman and sophomore classes in program history. While her performance on the circuit was questionable to begin with, starting her tenure at a time when we still debated in masks, Jenna has spent the last four year cultivating a record of 3 delegation awards with UMDMUN and a reputation on the circuit of kendrick lamar hooks, raising several iconic leaders from the dead, and always sporting a pink samba to boot.
The world of the collegiate model un circuit has been a home away from home for Jenna the past four years and has provided her some of the best friends and memories a girl could ask for. As her time with UMDMUN and the North American circuit draws to a close, Jenna couldn’t be more grateful to those who have made these past four years nothing but extraordinary. Jenna would like to thank her UMDMUN predecessors for seeing the potential in her and providing so many opportunities for growth, her fellow graduating seniors on the circuit for sticking around and putting up with a LOT of shenanigans the past four years, and the youngins of UMDMUN for taking the reigns and continuing the work of loving and supporting a program that has always supported her.
Lori Garavartanian
University of California, Los Angeles
A constant positive presence, immense GA prowess, and an affinity to eating ice, are some of the few ways we can describe Lori Garavartanian. Our undisputed double delegate G.O.A.T, if you have ever competed with Lori you will have seen her undying smile and her amazing speeches. This year Lori decided to take on one of the most burdensome tasks of all time, being both a head delegate and our Secretary-General for LAMUN XX. She not only completed those roles but excelled in them, leading our team to a record high conferences and running the circuits most loved, and competitive conference at a brand new-hotel. This just speaks to Lori’s grit, passion, and unwavering energy that she has for MUN. But where Lori’s skills are truly exemplified is in her ability to connect and make everyone feel comfortable around her. From helping to set up the first of many MUN Athletic Competitions to bringing our team closer to so many other teams, her warm presence is not only felt within MUN at UCLA but across every club she has interacted with. While Lori is graduating and pursuing a further education at USC Law (I know, I know), no matter which tier she ends up at we know that she will make everyone around her better. We will miss you so much Lori and your impact on our club will be felt for generations to come.
Mason Carlucci
Boston University
Mason Carlucci is the crisis backbone of MUN@BU. Though he was busy all year coding for Data Science major and serving as Secretary-General for BosMUN, BU’s high school conference, he still found time to compete 6 times, including at McMUN the weekend right before BosMUN!! He likes to claim otherwise, but Mason is a MUN kid at heart who hates touching grass, and while he might not study IR or Political Science, he enjoys every opportunity to do Model UN. This season, Mason tore up the crisis circuit in a diverse array of committees, from sports committees to JCCs and from Ad Hocs to historical committees. The whole team is so proud of our favorite Italian-Polish goofball and we can’t wait to see what further carnage he brings to the circuit next year.
Mathilde Hebras
University of California, Los Angeles
You may know Mathilde as the legendary Zombie Joe Biden or recognize her as LAMUN’s fantastic USG of crisis; we know her as one of our team’s most dedicated and inspiring members. Whether she is cooking up an insane backroom arc or forging forever friendships in front room, she has made a lasting impression as a force on the circuit known to bring joy to every room she walks into – while probably wearing her iconic red heels. If we had to describe Mathilde in one word, it would be caring, as she is always taking time out of her day to mentor new members and share her love of MUN with the world. From late-night prep sessions to Pitbull dance parties, Mathilde has helped foster a welcoming and fun environment that everyone wants to be a part of. When she was not spending her weekends traveling to conferences, you could often find her working tirelessly as the USG of LAMUN XX, reading a good book, and rating all the best coffee shops in LA. You can’t spell Mathilde without MUN (ok, maybe you can), but spelling aside, MUN at UCLA and this circuit would not be whole without her. We know she will continue to be a circuit superstar next year, and we can’t wait to see what she has in store!
Samaranjay Goyal
University of Miami
Samaranjay Goyal is an Economics and Math major and from Columbia, MO. He started mun in 2021. After four years and 10 awards, while gaveling in both GA and Crisis, Samaranjay Goyal learned that nothing in life is harder than a double del GA. He is proud of all the work he has put into this activity, but more importantly, he is proud of the friends he made along the way. Nothing can compare to his speeches, graphic t shirts, aviators, and everyone knows his legacy will forever live on. He has empowered the Umiami team to achieve new heights, both through his leadership and friendship, pushing others to be their best version of themselves. His hard work and influence has shown as this has been one of the most successful years of Umiami Model UN history. He will forever miss the UMiami model UN team and the rest of the people on the circuit that he had the pleasure of working with. After graduation he will be working in tech consulting in Minneapolis while thinking about the great times he had with his MUN friends. GO CANES!
Tim Lu
University of Chicago
Can we get a standing ovation for Timothy Lu? You can say that again. If you’ve ever been around him, you have probably picked up one of the 50 brain rot quotes he has infected not just the team, but also the circuit with, which is all just evidence of how impactful Tim is to those around him. While a GA del at heart (only ever having gaveled or earned an outstanding in single del GAs!), Tim has been a force on the GA, crisis, and UNSC circuits throughout the year. Stepping into a new role as a vice-president of the UChicago Team this year, he has demonstrated his ability as a compassionate leader, kind friend, and best delegate. We are all so excited for him to be President of the Team next year and are so proud of all that he has accomplished so far and are excited for the places he will take the team in the upcoming year. Have fun next year Tim!
Amerah Abderrazzaq
Boston University
Amerah Abderazzaq is a rising MUN@BU senior studying International Relations and Economics. As the solo head delegate of Boston University, Amerah not only led the team to its highest fall ranking, but also simultaneously led their return to UNSC committees. Amerah competes at a high level in both crisis and specialized committees. She’s quick to remind you she only started competing in her sophomore year, and since then has competed 13 times and led BU’s team in points during her head-delegate tenure. Amerah also twice served on the secretariat for BosMUN, BU’s high school conference, where she competed as a delegate in high school. When she’s not in Latin-American committees, she’s doing paint-by-numbers and wearing pink. She’s the hardest worker on MUN@BU and an outstanding delegate.
Anderson Korman
American University
Anderson “What’s up big dog” Korman is a rising Senior from Milton, Massachusetts majoring in International Studies. Throughout his time on American University Model United Nations, he has been a respected competitor, mentor, and most of all, friend. Anderson is a pillar of the AUMUN team, organizing team-bonding events as AUMUN social chair while serving as Vice President of The American University International Relations Society this year. While Anderson has been successful in every committee type, he has become AU’s de-facto single-del GA delegate and holds AU’s general assembly gavel record.
Outside of the circuit, Anderson has spent time interning for the US Department of State and the House of Representatives while cheering on his NBA champion Boston Celtics. Next semester he will be taking a much-needed break from DC and MUN to study abroad at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (but mostly travel around Southeast Asia). We are excited to see how much he will accomplish after graduating, but he still has one semester of MUN left! Most importantly; remember that sailors never mutiny.
Angie Zuleta
Florida International University
As Angie’s favorite band bôa sings, “the thinking takes too much time,” which she took to each committee this year, dazzling delegates with her hilariously witty, off the cuff speeches. In just her second year on the circuit, and first as FIU’s Head Delegate, Angie found herself racking up awards in just about every type of committee imaginable. From her beloved crises (from which she earned quite a few gavels), to the ChoMUN UNSC, and even the dual-delegate Ad-Hoc GA at UNCMUNC, her skills truly know no bounds. In the upcoming year, she will be translating all of this success and her seven years of competitive Model UN experience into FIMUN 38 as Secretary-General, hoping to make it the biggest and best high school conference in Florida! Outside of her competitive and leadership functions, Angie is beloved amongst the FIU team, and you can often find her chatting it up with newer members or embarking on a journey to the campus convenience store for cookies with whoever will tag along. On top of it all, she somehow finds a way to be a standout student and professional, triple majoring in International Relations, Philosophy, and Political Science, and interning for state senator Alexis Calatayud! We know she will continue to make waves inside and out of MUN, and could not be more proud of her accomplishments.
Archer Amon
Florida International University
Of the few things AI could never recreate, Archer Amon is one of them. This high-performing and high-achieving individual has managed to snag three whole majors in their repertoire. This summer he’ll be graduating as a Computer Science, International Relations, and Political Science major and prepare himself to take on the challenges life has in store with him beyond college. With a dazzling depth of knowledge this delegate has taken the circuit by storm this year. With a go-getter mindset Archer has clawed his way to three gavels in a variety of different committees. Truly a well-rounded delegate, he knows how to lead a room with ease and leave those competing against him amazed by his knowledge and prowess. From the chilly city of Montreal to the bustling noise of New York, Archer has consistently decimated the competition in every room he’s stepped in, showing that he has the skill to do all types of committees. No matter where he’s put Archer seems to facilitate a space where everyone can comfortably participate, making him one of FIU’s most prized delegates!
Ayisha Hilal
McGill University
Ayisha is a graduating senior studying Political Science, International Development Studies, and Economics at McGill. She has been a member of our team since the beginning of her freshman year, and over that time has left an indelible legacy in this organization, despite her constant claims that she was going to imminently quit. She has served as the Deputy in charge of GAs & ECOSOCs and as USG Committees for McGill’s high school conference, SSUNS, staffed McMUN for four years, and served as the VP Internal of our parent organization, IRSAM, in her senior year. Ayisha will be remembered for scaring our freshman delegates with MUN horror stories, showing up to practice simulations a minimum of a half hour late (but still being there, as she’ll remind you), and pulling late (semi-productive) nights in the library. She’s also known on our team and on the circuit as a brilliant and inimitable GA delegate, with an unparalleled knack for social strategy, a natural capacity for leadership, and an bright and passionate presence in every committee she’s been in. Ayisha has acted as a mentor, a leader, and a devoted friend to so many of us on this team, and although it will not be the same without her, her legacy will live on for a long time to come. It’s with heavy hearts and a lot of love that we say goodbye to her, but we are so excited to see her spread her light to the world, especially in any upcoming sprint triathlons or seasons of Survivor.
Courtney Daniels
Fordham University
Whether you’ve read her page-long funding clauses or have seen her iconic bedazzled flag heels, you’ve heard of Courtney Daniels. A rising Junior at Fordham University majoring in International Political Economy, Courtney joined FUMUN last season and hasn’t slowed down, defending her titles as the team’s highest-scoring female delegate and as an All Star for the second consecutive year. As interim Head Delegate Courtney led FUMUN to 2 of the team’s 4 delegation awards during the 2024-2025 season, though her leadership extends to her role as Director of General Assembly Training, where she passes on her unforgettable speech hooks. Courtney’s continued dedication is inspiring, and her skill is evidenced by the awards she’s collected, including a gavel in UCBMUN’s double-delegate ILO alongside fellow All Star Shane Maher.
Be it during trainings, unforeseen travel chaos, or on the way to class, ‘court-daniels,’ as she is fondly known to FUMUN, is always willing to go above and beyond for the team (unless you need help with your crisis arc) with her “eat, sleep, and breathe MUN” mentality. Whether giving a pre-committee pep talk, retaining decorum while ‘chairing’ team debriefs, or reminding us that one bad speech doesn’t mean it’s over, Courtney’s compassion, tenacity, and role as a GA powerhouse has paved the way for FUMUN’s historic success as a two-time Top 25 team. In just two years Courtney has left a lasting mark on the circuit, cementing herself as one of the most impactful delegates in FUMUN history, and we are proud to call her a teammate, an All Star, and our friend. As she reminds everyone at every conference, “It’s never over,” and we are excited to see her continue her streak of excellence on the circuit and beyond.
Cris Rodriguez
University of Florida
Cristina Rodriguez, known to her friends as Cris, is a senior public relations major at the University of Florida. As the Secretary-General of the most successful SunMUN iteration to date, and UF’s most consistent awardee, Cris has truly cemented herself as an unforgettable member of the circuit. Cris has done MUN since she was in middle school, and had only competed in crisis rooms until her sophomore year in college, when she won a Diplomacy Award in her first GA. Two years later, Cris has placed in some of the most difficult GA rooms, and is one of the few members on her team that have placed in both crisis and GA committees. Cris is also UF’s most seasoned Press Corps delegate, placing in three committees of that style. This year, she won four awards, including her second LAMUN Press Corps gavel in a row. She is a prime example of what a UF delegate looks like — kind, creative and persevering — and a presence that will be sorely missed by her team and the circuit. The various committees she has competed in have prepared her for a career in public interest communications, securing her an internship last summer with the World Wildlife Fund. Her caring spirit and integrity help her make an impact wherever she goes, and she is bound to be successful in her future endeavors.
Ellie White
American University
Ellie White is one of AU’s beloved graduating seniors, a former Head Delegate of the team, and is now going on to graduate school at John Hopkins University. The team could not be more proud of them and is happy to see her honored with her second election to the all stars team! After closing out a fantastic final season on the collegiate circuit, Ellie will be ending their term with what we like to call the “lucky number 13” gavels in total (breaking the AU record!). If you ever raised your brow at a zany shrimp arc (shoutout to the brine queen), the end of the world, or anything of an explosive nature…well, now you know who was responsible!
But Ellie’s accomplishments in life and on the circuit go beyond awards. Ellie has been a mentor to the entire team, and many other people on the circuit. There are not many people as patient, willing to teach, and kind-hearted as Ellie and the circuit and AUMUN is all the better for it. Now that Ellie is finally in her retirement era, we know she will achieve so much more.
After a 30 conference career, let it be known that there are only three things guaranteed in our lives: Death, taxes, and the same video game wives! Congratulations to Ellie on another amazing year, and we hope the circuit will continue to honor their legacy by playing an Ellie White classic at every conference: most heinous thing said or done!
Gavin Lorenzo
University of Alabama
Gavin Lorenzo graduated from The University of Alabama after serving as the Head Delegate for the 2024-2025 year. He was drawn to MUN at UA’s Spring Get on Board Day when the Vice Head Delegate pointed him out from the crowd with a commanding “You. In the jacket, come here.” Only a week later, Gavin went to his first conference, asking pressing questions of the vampire world such as: “What’s a directive?”
From there, he began his meteoric rise from verbal to verbal, then gavel after gavel. Gavin finished his short time with Bama MUN with five gavels in only two years, including a gavel at NCSC 2024. He earned a record 3.5 points per conference ratio, and his imdominatable legacy is only reinforced as Bama MUN’s fearless leader, resident Buccee’s fiend, foe of the aux, and Red Roof extraordinaire.
Graduated but not forgotten, Gavin will forever be remembered as Bama MUN’s Sigmessiah of DAWGopoly, The Owl of The Hollywood Blacklist, and Birdman of the USS Nimitz. The Team wishes Gavin the best in all he goes on to do, and ROLL TIDE!
Giovanna Garcia
University of Miami
Gio is a rising senior at the University of Miami, double majoring in Public Advocacy and French on the pre-law track. Originally from Goiânia, Brazil, she has been an active member of the University of Miami’s Model UN team since her freshman year of college. As president this past season, Gio played a key role in leading the team through its most successful year to date, earning four delegation awards and securing the program’s first-ever spot in the Top 10 collegiate Model UN rankings.
Under her leadership, the team achieved new milestones, earning recognition at conferences where UMiami had never previously placed. Known for her thoughtful strategy, and synergy with co-head del Osei Allen, she gave consistent support for her teammates, helping position UMiami as a serious presence on the national circuit.
Whether she’s passionately delivering speeches in General Assembly, Gio brings a unique blend of charisma, intellect, and strategy to every committee she enters. She is known across the circuit not only for her strong presence in committee but also for her unwavering commitment to uplifting her teammates behind the scenes. Gio has earned awards at some of the most competitive conferences in North America, competing in 8 double delegate committees this season.
Outside committee Gio has been instrumental in building a stronger team culture. From organizing team meetings and mentoring new members to fostering a sense of belonging among delegates, she has contributed to both the competitive and community sides of UMiami’s program.
As she enters her final year, Gio continues to be a leader within the team and a key figure in shaping its future. Her impact on the program, both competitively and culturally, has set a new standard for what’s possible at UMiami Model UN. We can’t wait to see everything she will achieve this year!
Jacob Rose
University of Southern California
Jacob Rose is a now departed member of the MUNSC Team, and our former President. From the great city of Walla Walla, Washington (basically Seattle), Jacob has burned his name into the USC MUN history books as an iconic Ad Hoc delegate, new member trainer, party planner, and resident UNC of the team. Jacob has truly been a powerhouse of a delegate, gaveling on both coasts and setting an amazing example for the rest of the team. Whether he was coaching a younger crisis delegate or yapping behind the IR library desk, Jacob has been the “big brother” to the entire USC team. Serving as the Deputy-Secretary-General of TrojanMUN 2024, Jacob has been a pillar of the team, propping up the rest of the team as he went. MUNSC is changed for the better because of Jacob, and will be in perpetual mourning after his graduation. In the words of Jacob, more times than we can count, FIGHT ON!
Katelyn Gramza
University of Cincinnati
Katelyn is the Internal Vice President of the University of Cincinnati’s Model UN team and is graduating this year with a degree in International Affairs! A transfer student from Dayton, Ohio, she has made the most of her two years at UC—competing in and awarding in numerous General Assemblies across the circuit. Katelyn is especially passionate about the circular economy and digital governance, and is currently enjoying the challenge of learning French. Congratulations Katelyn!!
Kathy Cuellar
Florida International University
Wandering into the first GA simulation of the year, Kathy began her MUN journey as a freshman at FIU. Observably shaking during her first intro, it seemed like that was the last time Kathy was ever unsure of what to do in committee. Like a fish to water, Kathy very quickly became a powerhouse on the team, even within her first year. Fighting for – and winning– top page quickly became synonymous with Kathy’s name amongst fellow FIU dels. Simultaneously, she balances a major in International Relations and Political Science, with certificates in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and National Security Studies. Officially, Kathy will also be continuing her time on the team as our Crisis Training Director. Motivated, kind, and witty, she truly is a treasured friend and delegate on our team. Enthusiastically, we must say we love to have her on the team. We cannot wait to see what else she accomplishes in her last year on the circuit and far beyond. We love you, Kathy!
Kayla Bello
University of Florida
Kayla is a rising junior at the University of Florida, characterized by her unparalleled dedication, authenticity, and competitive nature. To know Kayla is to respect & admire her; she has continuously served the UF Model UN team, simultaneously fulfilling the roles of USG of General Assemblies for SunMUN III and Director of Member Development for General Assemblies on the team’s executive board. Outside of Gainesville, Kayla has always been a star on the circuit, from gaveling at her very first collegiate conference to continuously maintaining a streak of awards that reflect her unmatched skill set. From regional to national conferences, her attention to detail and emphasis on genuine connections have solidified her place on the GA circuit as a beacon of diplomacy. Whether it is having floor time with her bloc between sessions, matching with her dual del, or bringing endlessly positive vibes to her team both at home and on the road, Kayla has already made an everlasting impact on those around her in just two years. As Kayla enters her next phase of her leadership journey as the newly appointed SunMUN IV Secretary General, her shining presence on the circuit will continue to connect UFMUN to the amazing teams and people she has met through MUN thus far. Kayla’s teammates and friends cannot wait to see what she will accomplish next, both on and off the circuit.
Maya Bielawski
University of Miami
Maya Bielawski is a Spring 2025 graduate from the University of Miami with a 4.0 GPA and departmental honors in both her majors. Majoring in International Studies and Political Science, Maya brought her love of international politics and history into historical crisis committees across North America. Although she only began her MUN journey junior year, Maya quickly became one of the strongest female delegates on the Miami MUN team. Starting her career with a gavel, she has never blanked or placed lower than an honorable in any of the 7 conferences she has competed in. Maya dual-held executive board positions for the 2024-2025 year, serving as the executive chair of finance and Director General for 305MUN II. In addition to Model UN this year, she held two jobs, one teaching assistant position, one internship, and five additional executive board positions in other organizations on campus. She recently completed her honors thesis focusing on the implementation of the Rome Statute and the effectiveness of human rights law prosecuted by the International Criminal Court. As for the future, it’s in the air! Maya is a Fulbright Semi-Finalist waiting to hear back on whether she will move to Armenia for the next year. Whatever the future holds, she will certainly continue to be the queen of sidequests and pick up random hobbies along the way (surfing being the most recent one). She will always hold her circuit memories close to her heart. Go Canes!
Osei Allen
University of Miami
As an incoming senior at the University of Miami and one half of the now-retired “Momma and Papa” head del duo, Osei Allen is proud to have served as the “father” of the Miami Model United Nations team for the 2024-2025 season. Having staffed and/or competed in over thirty conferences since his freshman year of high school, Osei can say with utmost confidence that MUN @ UM is the greatest team he has ever had the pleasure of being a part of. Alongside his glorious co-president Gio Garcia, Osei is proud to have led the Miami MUN team to historic team-highs in gavels, points, and delegation awards this past year. However, if you know Osei (or have at least watched him unintentionally “body slam” his teammates during awards), you know that he loves and celebrates the accomplishments of his team far above his own. As a result, Osei attributes this first-ever All-Star selection and all subsequent successes to a co-president, E-Board, and general body of members that have truly redefined what it means to be a Miami Hurricane. Although Osei expects to remain relatively undisturbed post-retirement, you may see him dabbling in specialized (or dare he say, even crisis) committees here and there on the circuit next year.
Paige Leah Farber
Concordia University
Farber is a rising junior at Concordia University, pursing an honors degree in Linguistics. Being a person of many talents (figure skating, dancing, writing, art exhibits, debate, whatever you name, she has probably done it), she takes her impressive skill set with her into her Model United Nations career, having only been on the circuit for two years.
Ever since her first conference at CIAC XIV only a year ago, she has grown a love for crisis committees characterized by her signature crisis note style and all her tech-y arcs. Seven conferences and one too many heist committees later, she is no stranger to excellence with six individual awards and becoming a head delegate in her second year. From there, she has inspired delegates on the team with her countless hours brainstorming crazy crisis arcs and teaching people how to write (befitting of her major).
Shown by her dedication and talent, Paige has always given her best to compete for the Concordia External Delegation and this team is delighted to have had her serve as a head delegate. She has always been ambitious and driven and we know she will succeed with whatever she sets her mind on. She has a long career ahead of her both in MUN and in her life and we cannot wait to see where she goes!
Sabeeh Mirza
University of Southern California
Sabeeh Mirza, serving as President of USC Model United Nations, has led his team with a balance of strategy, style, and a little bit of chaos. Whether he was acting as our head delegate at conferences or individually counseling each member through difficult committee sessions, Sabeeh consistently uplifted the spirits and strengthened the quality of USC MUN. His resilience in committee can only be exemplified by the fact that even a broken toe couldn’t stop him; after injuring himself at a conference, he still showed up to every single committee session, limping his way through debate with his unmatched determination and iconic opening lines for his speeches. His energy through it all reminded everyone around him what true dedication looks like—proving that even when the pressure’s on (and the toe is broken), Sabeeh shows up, gives his all, and inspires the rest of us to do the same. Sabeeh embodies the role of the presidency with a grace and confidence that few people even dare to aspire to. With his signature dramatic demeanor and calming presence, Sabeeh has made MUNSC the place to be.
Shane Maher
Fordham University
Shane is a sophomore at Fordham University studying political science. He joined Fordham’s team in his first semester of Freshman year, and quickly became addicted to the competitive, social, and challenging aspects of the collegiate Model UN circuit. Whether it’s a speech in which he’s splashing water in his face or emerging from behind the curtains during a draft resolution presentation, Shane undoubtedly loves being a part of this competition. While gathering awards at 5 different conferences this past school year, Shane’s leadership, friendly demeanor, and excellence as a GA delegate have played an impactful role in Fordham’s success. Serving as the Assistant Trainer of GA this Spring, he helped guide new and old delegates to continued conference success. He would like to shout his GA teammates of Sinhawe Haji, Ali Saab, Grace Curtis, Nini Dias, and his dual del Courtney Daniels for exceeding expectations this past year. Luckily for the Crisis Dels of Fordham MUN, they will get a break from hearing about how much more superior GA is, as he will be studying abroad in the spring of 2026 in Granada, Spain. We can’t wait to see what Shane will be able to accomplish next fall, both as a delegate and beyond!
Walker Szczecina
George Washington University
Walker Szczecina has been truly non stop this year. As a sophomore at George Washington University and as assistant head delegate of the GWU team, Walker certainly made a name for himself, though it may be hard to pronounce. He is known around GW as a hilarious and personable guy, the best lighting tech GW has ever seen, and most importantly as a good friend. Many are calling him this century’s hottest thing to come out of New Jersey, as this year he has not only solidified himself as a great delegate but as a successful and yet personable leader. From Hurricane Helene to his first UNSC Gavel at CHOMUN, Walker brought his signature charisma, charm and fantastic speeches to all 7 of the conferences he attended. He has defined his tenure as assistant head delegate by providing heavy hitting performances, providing unity to the GWMUN team, strong leadership and his signature humor when needed. He has made himself a recognizable face on the UNSC circuit by competing in 3 UNSCs, proving to be a reliable UNSC delegate through both his GA skills (such as the WATER clause) and his always fantastic crisis skills. Walker has truly deserved being cemented as a model UN all star, exemplifying his dedication to the craft, his leadership and all he learned throughout his time on the college circuit.

Josefina Allie, Saint Ignatius College Prep, 2026
Awards won:
Tip: During committee, especially during multi-day conferences, try the whole time. You might not be the best speaker or writer, but if you put your full effort in the whole time you will stand out.
Lukas Beltz, Saint Ignatius College Prep, 2025
Awards won:
Tip: Confidence is key. Fake it till you make it, and even after you make it.
Sean Burke, Glenbrook South High School, 2026
Awards won:
Tip: Every time there’s a major development in committee, pause and try to view it the way that your assigned position would. This is very important in staying on-policy, coming up with unique reactions, and generating impressive solutions that stand out from overly generic, recycled clauses.
Sasha Eckler, Saint Ignatius College Prep, 2025
Awards won:
Tip: Come to conferences prepared and never be afraid to lean on your teammates for help.
Helen Glass, North Broward Preparatory
School, 2026
Awards won:
Tip: Study! Study! Study! I really can’t stress how being prepared and knowing everything you possibly can helps, especially when it comes to thinking on your feet, coming up with diverse solutions on the spot, and giving speeches without reading off a paper. My personal favorite way of studying for conferences is by printing out the background guide and annotating on it!
Naiha Hernandez, UHS, Puerto Rico, 2027
Awards won:
Tip: Find someone to collaborate with that matches your personality, dynamic duos for the win!
Maggie Marcus, Saint Ignatius College Prep, 2026
Awards won:
Tip: Be authentic and let your personality show through in committee, and always try to learn something new from others.
Alexa Pla, Independent Delegate, 2027
Awards won:
Tip: Patience is key in Model UN. As a crisis delegate, I have seen how tumultuous a committee can be but the most important thing is to maintain a steady pace. Don’t rush yourself and burn out by the second day of the conference, build yourself up slowly to leave an impact in your committee. And don’t forget to be amicable and befriend your fellow delegates!
Siya Shah, Glenbrook South High School, 2026
Awards won:
Tip: My top piece of advice for the MUN community is to never give up. There are a lot of times where MUN can feel very discouraging however, you cant allow this feeling to consume you. A mistake that has been made, or one thing not going your way isn’t the end of the world, and in essence, you just have to forget about any mistakes you have made, because we all make them! Also, DO NOT get intimidated, especially with people who appear to have a louder voice than you. Most likely you are just as good as them! You have an equal chance of winning and you should stick with it all the way through the end of the conference!
Nicolas Silva, Saint Ignatius College Prep, 2027
Awards won:
Tip: Be confident and be sure to take pride in your unique ideas. Not every conference will go as planned, but focus on the things you are able to control such as your speeches, resolution ideas, and teamwork with other delegates. Once you stop obsessing over results and focus on what you are able to control, the successes and awards will follow.

Arpit Bhate
Harvard University
Is that Barbie? No—it’s Arpit in his all-pink suit. During his time at Harvard, Arpit has been a dominating force over the crisis committees, particularly the daunting UNSC. He channeled this experience into spearheading the first Ad Hoc UNSC of its kind featured at HNMUN 2024! When he’s not snacking on popcorn while watching heated Authors’ Panel selection, Arpit is a beloved pillar of Model UN at Harvard. Having previously served as Head Delegate/“Mommy” of ICMUN, Under-Secretary-General of the Specialized Agencies at HNMUN, and Secretary-General of HMUN India, Arpit has revolutionized the meta of collegiate Model UN and what it means to be a delegate. This past year, Arpit swept the circuit, winning a gavel at every conference he attended—a true testament to his expertise as both a delegate and committee director. Arpit has also grown into a tremendous mentor on the team, helping to inspire and support our newest babies as they slay across the circuit. Arpit supplements his hefty Model UN workload with his studies as an Applied Math concentrator, a leisurely bike ride, and complex/brain-boggling research projects. We are devastated to see our Mommy go, but are so excited to see all that he achieves gaveling the unmods of the real world!
Bailey Vanderwalle
Florida State University
Bailey Vandewalle graduated from Florida State University this spring, after running the committee she’s been planning since her freshman year of college. During her time with the World Affairs Program, she has served as the Secretary General for NoleMUN II and the Director of The World Affairs Program. As Secretary General for NoleMUN II, she oversaw the conference and thoroughly enjoyed being a part of every committee no matter how big or small. Throughout all her experience in the world of Model UN and all it entails, she was one of the most creative and innovative Committee Directors NoleMUN has ever seen. During NoleMUN III she directed the “American Gods” Ad-Hoc committee. As Crisis Director she made sure her delegates had a unique, engaging, and imaginative committee that continued to puzzle them at every turn. Making cryptic playlists and buying crystals were only part of the Ad-Hoc journey, but the stops at creative updates and unique note responses built this committee into a truly great experience. Bailey was able to bring delegates to the very edge of the world, and only let a few apocalypses through. Reaching great heights was never difficult for you, congratulations Bailey and don’t forget the sky is your limit!
Calvin Osborne
Harvard University
It was once said that the Ad Hoc is a “two-gavel game” when Calvin competes—luckily, at HNMUN he swapped his delegate badge to direct the first-ever double-delegate Ad Hoc committee! There’s no one who knows the Ad Hoc quite like the Ad Hoc KING himself. So it comes as no surprise to find Calvin on this list for arguably the most innovative Ad Hoc on the circuit yet. Calvin is currently a senior at Harvard College studying Mathematics and Philosophy. In his three years on the collegiate circuit, Calvin has left an incredible legacy on both sides of the Dais. He has directed the HNMUN Ad Hoc two years in a row, served as Head Delegate of ICMUN, and will lead our high school conference HMUN as Secretary-General this coming year. This past year, Calvin put his 12 gavels (11 of which come from the Ad Hoc!) to the test as he conjured up the biggest twist and turns (or should we say swaps) the Ad Hoc has ever seen. There’s no one who brings the vibes like Calvin with his quirky crisis arcs, silly spotlight fingers, and colorful notepads/highlighters. Next year, as he returns as the Director of the Ad Hoc, we cannot wait to see what tricks he has up his sleeves to make it the best one yet!
Cameron Katz
University of California, Los Angeles
If you are ever looking for a fun and chill time in committee, look no further than a committee chaired by Cameron Katz. Even though he spent his Sophomore and Junior year stuck in CD jail, Cameron came out swinging this year as the chair for the now iconic LAMUN Ad Hoc. Through his calm demeanor and impeccable skill at timing jokes, Cameron has brought some of the best energy to UCLA Model United Nations. His chair skills are so good that he somehow convinced the Ad Hoc delegates this year to allow him 4 extra votes to use at his own discretion – a shocking feat for any committee let alone a crisis Ad Hoc. But what delegates didn’t see this year from Cameron is his behind the scenes dedication and love. The Ad Hoc staff became like a family over these past few months, and Cameron has served as father. Outside of Model UN, Cameron could be found taking classes for his double majors in Political Science and Psychology, serving as President for Bruin Democrats, or commuting an hour and a half to work on the lot at NBCUniversal. Hopefully, he can successfully evade LAMUN next year even though he will be working five minutes away from the hotel. (P.S. Hazel deserves a shoutout for being your partner-in-crime during LAMUN – *chains breaking reaction image*)
Charlie Biggs
Georgetown University
Known for his culture of timeliness, iconic dance moves, and eccentric music taste, Charlie Biggs has been an incredible leader both on the Georgetown University Model United Nations team (GUMUN) and across the circuit. This past year, Charlie served as GUMUN’s Conferences Coordinator and Head Delegate. While many know him for his tendency to excel in UNSCs, a committee he has run at NCSC for the past two years, Charlie’s Model UN range is even more impressive. From large double delegate GAs to Ad-Hoc crisis simulations, there is no committee size or style he can’t handle! Charlie concluded his collegiate Model UN career with seven gavels, earning three at UNCMUNC, McMUN, and VICS this past year. Under his leadership, GUMUN walked away with seven delegation awards across the 2023-2024 season from CMUNNY, MUNE, UPMUNC, UNCMUNC, VICS, ChoMUN, and &MUN. Charlie’s positive attitude has also been instrumental to the team’s success, as demonstrated by his energetic pre-committee hype speeches and hilarious one-liners in Conferences Staff meetings. The entire Georgetown University Model United Nations community could not be more proud of Charlie, and we look forward to watching him continue to succeed in the future!
Christina Mueller
University of California, Berkeley
You know her, you know her story: this is Christina Mueller’s territory. Our amazing GA Head Delegate turned External Vice President accomplished more in two years than most people do during their entire college MUN journeys. Having competed in more than ten committees, ranging from small non-traditional committees to huge General Assemblies, her talent and power make her a force to be reckoned with in every committee room she steps into. She’s a natural at giving speeches; her quick wit during authors’ panels is legendary. Her understanding of parliamentary procedure and resilience also make her one of the best Chairs on the circuit. The committee she chaired at UCBMUN XXVIII, Ad-Hoc GA, was inventive, well-run, and incentivized delegates to tackle a new topic every session. Beyond her brilliance as a leader, she genuinely cares about everyone she meets on the circuit and always goes out of her way to befriend other delegates. She is a true role model who, breaking barriers, paves the way for future generations of female leaders in MUN and beyond. Christina’s dedication, charisma, and unwavering support for her teammates demonstrate that power can also be synonymous with grace and integrity. Despite juggling numerous commitments, she has never given less than 200% to UCBMUN, making her one of the most dependable Officers our team has ever had. Most importantly, Christina lights up every room she enters, bringing infectious energy and incredible humor to our team. We are thrilled to announce that Christina will serve as one of our co-presidents next year. With her leadership, we are confident that the upcoming year will be phenomenal for UCBMUN. Christina, UCBMUN is incredibly lucky to have you!
Emmanuel Louis
Concordia University
Emmanuel is CED’s Heartthrob, having begun his fourth and final year of medical school, Emanuel has left his mark on the Concordia delegation. Despite his rather unexpected field of study, he has been active in the Model UN circuit for the past 7 years, solidifying his expertise as a GA delegate. Besides his experience as a head delegate, Emanuel fulfilled the role of Director of Committees for ConMUN 2023, helping establish ConMUN’s reputation within the North American circuit. Apart from his background as a delegate and secretariat member, Emanuel also chaired multiple committees in the Montreal MUN circuit over the past years, such as the UNGA Sixth Committee in ConMUN 2021. This year, he chaired several Concordia delegation scrimmages, and most notably, he fulfilled the mandate of chair for the Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD) committee of ConMUN 2024. With the topic being “Automation of Medicine”, Emanuel brought together his knowledge of medicine with his expertise in MUN to put forth a committee that challenges beginners and veterans alike. Delegates were able to push the limits of their imagination and propose innovative solutions in an era of rapid development of biomedical technologies. Regardless of how busy he may seem, Emanuel is always up for a challenge, even if it means shaving his head in committee for the conference charity this year! His passion for Model UN will always shine bright, and he is incredibly grateful to have been a part of the Concordia’s delegation’s journey.
Joel Shapiro
Boston University
From serving as the Secretary General of BarMUN XV to returning to competing this year, Joel has made a great impact on BarMUN, MUN@BU, and the Model UN circuit. After a hiatus during his Paris study abroad last spring, Joel returned to Model UN in the fall as if he had never left. At his final BarMUN, he served as the Crisis Director for the National Security Council. Joel’s years of experience staffing and competing in Model UN make him both an incredible crisis director and delegate. From single to double delegate, crisis to ad hoc specialized, Joel has succeeded in every type of committee. Joel’s ability to adapt and excel in any situation is admirable and has made him an inspiration for the team. Joel’s kindness, hospitality, and humor make him a great team member, travel buddy, and competitor. A recent graduate of Boston University, Joel was able to make time for Model UN while pursuing a degree in both International Relations and Computer Science! Joel finished off his Model UN career with a gavel in The Argentinian Elite Crisis Committee at LAMUN this spring! MUN@BU is so happy for Joel and proud of his accomplishments but will miss him greatly. The team wishes him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors. Congratulations Joel!
Kevin Yao
University of Chicago
Having the most incredible mind in the history of backroom is no easy feat, yet Kevin has been able to accomplish it within his time at UChicago. Running Build Your Own Committee this past ChoMUN, Kevin put that title to the test having the delegates decide their fate. From training to conference, Kevin took the time to ensure that his knowledge was passed down to coming generations of CDs as they aspire to meet the high bar that he consistently sets.
Madison Emerick
University of Alabama
Madison Emerick just graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in History and a minor in Spanish. Madison has been an ever present and driving force behind the Alabama International Relations Club from conference preparation, recruitment, to CDing and chairing committees at AIRMUNC and ALMUN. As the Director of External Affairs for the 2023-2024 year, Madison has worked to make AIRC’s team a collaborative and welcoming environment for all incoming members. She has spent countless afternoons mentoring other delegates at coffee and restaurant meetups (be sure to ask her about her Tuscaloosa recommendations). During this past iteration of AIRMUNC, UA’s ranked collegiate conference, Madison served as the Crisis Director for the Ad-Hoc of the Secretary General. She created an unforgettable, engaging, and fun conference weekend for delegates that is the embodiment of the AIRC MUN ideals. Her extreme hard working spirit and her enthusiastic approach to crisis arcs, conference weekend stylings (shout out to the onecler suit), restaurant suggestions, and travel quips are going to be deeply missed. AIRC is truly grateful for Madison and we are so excited to see what she does next! Congratulations Madison and Roll MUN!
Nicolas Mendez Arango
University of Florida
Noelle Morey
University of Florida
With almost seven years of experience in Model UN, Noelle Morey has proven herself to be the epitome of a best delegate, and even more so through her roles as director for multiple committees and conferences throughout the past 7 years. Beginning MUN her freshman year of college, Noelle has strived to use kindness and diplomacy in all that she does, winning the gavel countless times and garnering endless praise from the hundreds of delegates she has chaired for. Noelle was honored by the Naples Council on World Affairs, an affiliate sponsor for the largest conference in southwest Florida, and continues to be asked to chair for the organization every spring. Such a position requires significant dedication and is indicated of a strong and experienced delegate, as it is rewarded in payment for each of the esteemed chairs. Noelle was also the co-director of the first ever Ad-Hoc dual del GA at GatorMUN in the spring of 2023, and the director of the largest dual del in GatorMUN’s history at GatorMUN in the spring of 2024. Her impact on the delegates she has served, both within conferences, and now as the Vice President of UF Model UN speaks to Noelle’s devotion to MUN and ensuring the quality of delegate experience wherever she goes.
Samantha Suchsland
University of Miami
Ashi Gottumukkla
University of California, Los Angeles
We could go on and on for months, if not years, about the multitude of reasons Ashi Gottumukkula is on this list. For example, we could talk about her insane dedication to her craft from competing and awarding in GAs across the circuit to spending hours training novice in the abundance of intricate strategies she has developed over the years. All of it culminating in her ability to run the smoothest and most efficient GA on the circuit. Or we could spend centuries geeking out over how good of a person she is. Unafraid to come to anyone’s aid, she will give her all to making sure the people around her are the best they can be. In any time of need, we can be sure she will always be there for us and it is that same empathy that helped her make sure everyone in her committee had the most fun possible. But most importantly, we think it is the type of person she is. Ashi is the type of person that makes you want to spend more time with her, the best kind of person in our opinion. She has a unique way of connecting with people and making them feel comfortable. Her compassionate and loving nature has made her a friend to so many and attracted so many people to her amazing committee. No matter where Ashi goes after college, as long as she remains herself, we know success will follow and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors!
Collin Morrill
Florida State University
As one of NoleMUN III’s most creative and energetic Crisis Directors, Colin Morrill delivered an unmatched delegate experience as CD of “Lights, Camera, Suppression! The 1947 Hollywood Blacklist.” Throughout the weekend, Colin’s effort to make his committee a positive space for not only his delegates, but also his staff, stands as a testament of his relentless dedication to others. From engaging updates and witty note responses, to backroom shenanigans and wacky committee incentives, Colin’s humor and enthusiasm truly made NoleMUN III a conference to remember. He truly brought Hollywood to Tallahassee, thrilling delegates with entertaining crisis updates and immersive wargaming. Outside of committee, Colin also served as NoleMUN III’s resident DJ Colinsky and the mind behind the infamous “NoleMUN III Hype” playlist. Colin, the World Affairs Program is endlessly proud of your accomplishments, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of your collegiate career brings! Go Noles!
Elisabeth Duggar
Florida State University
In her two years in the FSU World Affairs Program, Elisabeth Duggar has made a positive impact and a name for herself on the circuit. With the first Barbieland committee on the circuit, she used her creativity and unique approach to give delegates an experience they’ll never forget. This committee featured performances by boygenius at the Super Bowl halftime show and the Ken’s holding committee hostage with the symphonies of “Shake it off” by Taylor Swift. Elisabeth’s beautifully executed crisis direction (and killer themed outfits) truly set her apart as a director, and as a delegate. This isn’t her first rodeo, as last year she served as the Assistant Crisis Director to the NoleMUN II Ad-Hoc committee. This year, Elisabeth traveled with the team to numerous conferences, where she earned many points and served as the Assistant Director of Conference Logistics for the FSU team. She helped our delegates get to, from, and succeed at every conference, with color-coded itineraries and 15 passenger vans. We love you, and go Noles!
Emiliano Jasis
University of California, Los Angeles
Emiliano Jasis is a rising junior at UCLA pursuing a B.S. in psychobiology, and is both inspiring and generous as a chair— but more importantly, as a friend. Serving as the infamous Atticus Darkwell for the Meteor Chronicles: The Viridian Commonwealth, Emiliano executed a flawless committee, skillfully steering delegates through the clashes of Sona Lake, the wiles of the Cerulean Principality, and of course— Little Dean’s birthday party. Even though committee was set in a world built completely from scratch, with complex mechanics, backgrounds, and side-quests, they guided committee with enviable poise and prowess. Leading with a strength that is almost as hard-hitting as their gavel tap, Emiliano was an extraordinarily committed chair to both delegates and staffers alike, bringing both a smile and Trader Joe’s Soft and Juicy Mango Strips to committee meetings, and always giving it their all. Emiliano’s dedication to their staffers is a prime example of what we aim to achieve at MUN @ UCLA, and their compassion, kindness, and patience has made them one of MUN @ UCLA’s greatest assets. You have touched so many lives, both on the circuit and at home — we love you, and cannot wait to see what you achieve next year!
Emma Wong
Georgetown University
Picture this: you are two hours into committee session IV in a massive GA, and you are falling asleep out of sheer boredom. Suddenly, a booming voice fills the entire hotel ballroom, waking you up immediately. At the front of the room, just over five feet tall and not even using the microphone, you see Georgetown’s Emma Wong delivering a mod speech that could move an entire crowd to tears of admiration and awe. Whether she’s giving an incredibly powerful speech or coaching delegates between committee sessions, Emma Wong continues to show that she is one of the best delegates and team leaders in Georgetown University Model United Nations (GUMUN) history. On the circuit, Emma is nothing short of a force to be reckoned with. Her talents and hard work across GA, crisis, and hybrid committees have earned her gavels at UPMUNC, McMUN, and &MUN, and she awarded at all 7 conferences she competed at this past year. Her knowledge of GA committees is extensive, as demonstrated by her exceptional chairing of NCSC’s inaugural Ad-Hoc GA last November. Since she joined GUMUN’s Conferences Staff as a sophomore, Emma has worked tirelessly to make GUMUN a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all delegates through her roles as Deputy of Operations and Internal Affairs. We are so excited to watch Emma take on the role of Conferences Coordinator and Head Delegate next year, as she will undoubtedly lead GUMUN to another amazing year on the circuit.
Gov Prabhakar
Georgetown University
From his quirky fedora collection to his tenure as NCSC 50’s Executive Director, Gov Prabhakar has worn many hats throughout his time at Georgetown. As a delegate with the Georgetown University Model United Nations Team (GUMUN), Gov excelled in Middle Eastern and South Asian crisis committees as well as UNSCs. Over his seven semesters with the team, he picked up gavels at ChoMUN, VICS, and UPMUNC. Gov also gave back to GUMUN as a member of the team’s Conferences Staff and Deputy Apparatus, with portfolios ranging from team affairs to operations. Additionally, Gov served as the Executive Director of NCSC 50 in the fall of 2022. His hard work certainly paid off, as NCSC was named the #1 fall conference by Best Delegate in the following spring. This past NCSC, Gov helped bring the Mumbai Crime Outfit to the collegiate circuit as the chair of the Ad-Hoc Committee of the Secretary-General. Whether you competed alongside Gov or were a delegate in the aforementioned committee, you can’t say your experience with him was boring! While we will miss seeing his beanie and tank top collection around campus, we are so grateful for the time he dedicated to both GUMUN and NCSC. However, we cannot wait to see what he accomplishes in the future. For the last time, Cheers to the Gov-ernor!
Hanan Levis Betancourt
University of Florida
If you walk into a crisis committee and see a tall, curly-haired dude wearing mismatching socks who pulls out a talking stick in the unmod, you’ve just met Hanan Levis-Betancourt. Hanan joined the UF Model UN team his freshman year, knowing nothing about the club except that we sometimes talked about politics. His freshman year, he attended two conferences and decided Model UN’s intricate social game and mechanics weren’t for him. His sophomore year, Hanan exploded onto the circuit with an unexpected fervor, winning a gavel as his first ever Model UN award. The change? Experience staffing UF’s collegiate and high school conferences, alongside training on the crisis cycle, transformed his understanding of MUN. He’s been unstoppable ever since. Hanan has proven to be a talented crisis delegate, earning seven awards—four being gavels!—in just three semesters of competing. This past year, Hanan became our most traveled delegate, serving as our Head Delegate at seven conferences. He is also a talented director, using his creativity and competing experience to wow his delegates. This year, Hanan directed two committees, one at SunMUN II, which earned him a spot on the All Star CDs Team. Hanan truly exemplifies what effective leadership as a Head Delegate looks like. You can count on Hanan to help you brainstorm a crisis arc, hand out waters at the social, run team debrief, hype you up before Author’s Panel, and remind you that at the end of the day, blanking does not define you or your abilities. His confident and measured approach to competing inspires everyone on our team, from nervous freshmen to experienced members of leadership. During his senior year, Hanan will serve as UF’s Director of Member Development for our crisis delegates and as a director at SunMUN III and GatorMUN XXII. His commitment to improving our team’s competitive standing while maintaining a welcoming environment makes the circuit’s decision to elect him to this list a deserved one.
Hazel Stocco
University of California, Los Angeles
After two years in Secretariat Jail, Hazel Stocco served as Crisis Director for the Ad Hoc at LAMUN XIX. In her first showing as a Crisis Director on the collegiate circuit, Hazel ran an incredibly dynamic and immersive committee, bringing Pelican Town to life for the delegates. Behind the scenes, Hazel helped to create a positive and dedicated staff environment. She joined Model UN at UCLA as a first-year freshman. During her four years in the organization, Hazel has competed on the competitive travel team and worked on both BruinMUN and LAMUN. She brings a joy and passion to this club that has left an impact on its members and will be remembered by the club for many years to come. As Hazel recently finished her B.A.Sc in Political Science and Statistics & Data Science degree, Model UN at UCLA will miss her dedication and creativity in running committees. (P.S. Cameron deserves a shoutout for being your partner-in-crime during LAMUN – *chains breaking reaction image*)
Isabella Torriani
University of California, Los Angeles
Jackson Englar-Carlson
University of California, Berkeley
Jackson has an undeniable presence in UCBMUN. This past year he served as the collegiate conference’s Director of Business relations and a Crisis Director for the Somaliland committee. Jackson’s wit and intelligence enabled him to formulate crisis updates that were both exciting and challenging — ensuring an engaging experience for all of the delegates involved in his committee. His ability to think on his feet and his creative approach to Model UN have made him a standout member of our organization. More importantly, Jackson never fails to ensure that everyone is enjoying themselves. No matter what city we find ourselves in, UCBMUN’s honorary restaurant connoisseur has you covered with a list of the best local eateries. We are so grateful to have him as our Crisis Head Delegate for the upcoming year and are excited to see how he will continue to encourage and lead our team with his innovative ideas and infectious sense of humor.
Nivea Krishnan
University of Southern California
Sara Mendez Arango
Florida State University
Suraj Vaddi
University of Virginia
Although this was his first year in the collegiate circuit, Suraj Vaddi is an Ad Hoc powerhouse. Awarding at all five of the conferences he went to, Suraj has proven to be an effective crisis trainer for the UVAMUN team. Beyond that, he is a great friend that always encourages and believes in the people around him.
He served as the Director General of VICS XXVIII, where he managed 15 committees. However, when he saw a last minute Crisis Director drop, he personally stepped in and ran a successful backroom for a futuristic committee about the intersection between technology and policy. At UVAMUN, he is known for his creative catch phrases to promote diplomacy and leadership (if you know, you know). Suraj still has three years in the circuit, and we are excited to see all of the amazing things he accomplishes with UVAMUN and VICS next year!
Amanda Eckels
University of Chicago
Creating a welcoming environment in committee, Amanda has proved to be one of the most positive dias members on the circuit. With a person first delegate second mindset, Amanda pushed the circuit to become a more inclusive environment and that mission carried its way to ChoMUN, where committee members and staff members alike glowed at their impact throughout the weekend.
Andres Zimmerman
Georgetown University
As honorary Team Dad, scout leader, and battle general, the Georgetown University Model United Nations team (GUMUN) has Andres Zimmermann to thank for his fantastic leadership over the past few years. When he’s not effectively mobilizing dozens of GUMUN delegates across busy cities or driving our van to Southern conferences, Andres crafts masterful arcs and mini-pops, executing his out-of-room plans with the utmost precision. As our resident crisis and ad-hoc delegate and serving as Deputy of Training this past year, Andres has contributed so much to the GUMUN community. He is the absolute best coach that has ever graced GUMUN, ask anybody on the team, and we are endlessly grateful for the guidance and support he’s tirelessly given to each and every one of our members. Through his patented Socratic method to German simulations and his detailed training resources, Andres has played a pivotal role in GUMUN’s competitive success this year. Andres is also involved in staffing both the NCSC and NAIMUN conferences at Georgetown. He has served back-to-back as Grand Crisis Manager of the Pig War JCC and the inaugural three-sided Sino-Indian War JCC at the past two NCSCs. When Andres is in charge of a committee, you know it will be nothing less than a well-oiled machine. We are so grateful for his leadership and friendship, and we can’t wait to see what Andres will do next!
Anton Stover
University of California, Los Angeles
Anton Stover is one of the most dedicated members of MUN @ UCLA. Anyone who has ever met him, either on the team or across the circuit, can attest to how in awe they are of his versatility and skill, no matter what the committee is. He helped launch BruinMUN, our high school conference, to the biggest and best it’s ever been, serving as our USG of ECOSOC and Specialized this year. At every conference he traveled to this year, he blew us all out of the water, from creating clauses to workshopping some crazy crisis arc. Anton has been in his ERAs (equation, recon, acronyms) era consistently and we are all the better for it. He ended off this year as the Crisis Director of the Manhattan Project spec at LAMUN XIX. From spearheading wild mechanics to spreading his infectious energy to every delegate in the room, Anton made an unfading mark on LAMUN. He also goes out of his way to be a friendly face to staffers and puts in so much effort to make MUN @ UCLA a home to everyone. Beyond his passion for our team, Anton is a History major and Global Studies and Public Affairs double minor while also writing for UCLA’s Undergraduate Law Journal and the Undergraduate History Journal. We are so excited for Anton to serve as our Director of External next year and for everything else he’ll accomplish! Cletus Bartholomew 2 ¾ is cheering you on the whole way!
Anya Shah
University of California, Berkeley
Throughout the years, Anya has served as the calming presence that UCBMUN needs. From providing emotional support at conferences to mentoring younger members of the team, she has never failed to show kindness and grace to those she comes across. Not only is Anya unbelievably kind but incredibly intelligent. She previously served as our club’s Director of Finance, ensuring that all expenses were carefully managed and aligned with the organization’s means — which is no easy feat. This past May, Anya graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering and will forever hold the title of UCBMUN’s woman in STEM. Outside of Model UN, Anya has worked at SpaceX, Blue Origin, and Raytheon. Unsurprisingly, Anya ran a futuristic space General Assembly committee at UCBMUN 2024 that was out of this world! Her poise, detailed feedback, and shrewd attention to detail made her one of the best front room chairs our collegiate conference has ever seen. While we already feel the hole Anya’s absence has left, we couldn’t be prouder to celebrate her impressive accomplishments. We are certain Anya’s future is even brighter than the galaxies discussed in her space committee.
Claire Sawyer
University of California, Berkeley
If you were fortunate enough to participate in the PewDiePie side of the PewDiePie vs T-Series JCC at UCBMUN 2024, you would have witnessed crisis director Claire Sawyer’s expertise, energy, and creativity firsthand. Claire has been a prized member of UCBMUN that the team already dearly misses. Claire’s involvement throughout her years made her a confidante and mentor to many in our club. Not only is Claire a fantastic crisis director but also a spectacular competitor. This year, Claire stepped up to assist the Head Delegates by offering individual trainings to our delegates — inspiring their confident speeches and creative backroom arcs. This side of the JCC committee was not only lucky but beyond grateful to have Claire as their CD, as evidenced by the glowing feedback that Claire and her dais got at every Head Delegate feedback session (and we all know how harsh those can be). This past May, Claire graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Science, Technology & Society. Luckily, she will be staying in the Bay area and will be serving as the coordinating crisis director for next UCBMUN’s JCC committee (so if you find yourself there, watch out for her adept crisis update skills and inventiveness!). Claire, we’re incredibly grateful for everything that you have brought to UCBMUN and wish you all the best in your future!
Daniel Zhang
University of Chicago
Daniel’s experience as a crisis delegate has hardened him into a “no-nonsense” CD. Armed with a plethora of knowledge from his time on the circuit, call him Chat-GPT the way he turns nonsense into coherent output! When he commits to the bit, there’s nothing stopping Daniel from wreaking havoc in the back room. Keep an eye out for him as a USG for ChoMUN XXVIII, and pray you don’t run into him on the circuit!
Emily Mims
University of Florida
With a personality as magnetic as her directing style, Emily Mims decided to live life to the fullest. As someone who never backs down from a fight, she decided to overcome every challenge that life, the circuit, and building a team sends at her in a hot pink suit. Having finished serving her two-time presidency, she continues to strive forward to new ventures, even if that means making a professor delay their retirement (and Mims’ own graduation) a year so that she may graduate with honors. Having awarded (and gaveled) at every type of committee, there was one aspect of her MUN career that never got the recognition it deserves. Her committees are the equivalent of a three star Michelin restaurant, a unique experience that you know cannot be repeated elsewhere. The best part? It doesn’t matter if she’s directing for high schoolers or college students, she ensures that everyone in the room is trying their best, learning from it, and, most importantly, having a blast. Whether it is a regular crisis, an Ad Hoc, a general assembly, or a specialized committee with Wonky mechanics, once she’s your director you know you will be in good hands; even to the point you cannot help but wish for more.
Farzaan Naeem
Boston University
Farzaan is a rising senior at Boston University majoring in computer science. Since joining the Boston University International Affairs Association his freshman year, Farzaan has been a loyal and dedicated member and has staffed both BosMUN, the organization’s high school conference, and BarMUN, the collegiate conference. Farzaan is an extremely experienced staff member and is known for staffing crisis committees, typically serving in backroom as a Crisis Director. Farzaan has staffed committees like the Taiping Rebellion Joint Crisis Committee at last year’s BosMUN, and the Battle of Bạch Đằng, 938, at the last BarMUN. Farzaan’s staffing experience and background in Model UN have made him an admired staffer. He is dedicated, organized, and loves making crisis committees enjoyable for delegates. A rising senior, Farzaan will be serving as the Crisis Director for the Indian Space Research Organization, 2040, at his last BarMUN this fall.
Harper Schwab
University of Chicago
Harper “the goat” Schwab is known for his fearless and unrelenting leadership as a CD whose creative vision for his committee’s backroom is informed by his centralizing philosophy: “haha but do you know what would be really funny?” A staple in the ChoMUN community his work as a CD, has inspired them to get involved and run committees of their own, creating a long lineage of fun-loving crisis fiends. This year, he has also led the UChicago team as vice-president, and has been a fantastic presence and incredible mentor.
Jake Juliano
University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill
Anyone who has met Jake will tell you how much he cares about creating unique experiences for others. A member of CarolinaMUN since 2022, Jake is now a Co-Head Delegate for the team, an incredible Crisis Director, and a caring, sweet, and compassionate person. He is a Junior double majoring in Statistics and Music with a minor in Urban Planning. Jake also loves planes and is often seen exploring airports like a kid at a candy shop when traveling with the team, so if you see him, feel free to say hi! Jake made waves in the circuit at UNCMUNC XIV when he created and executed a dynamic crisis committee, which lets delegates use a whiteboard placard to add, remove, and combine multiple positions. Delegates in his committee at UNCMUNC XIV had to 4 positions and up to 8 crisis notepads. His idea will remain one of our most incredible committees and will continue to be hosted at our conference for many years to come. Jake’s dedication and creativity have made a significant impact on the Model UN circuit, and we are so excited to see what he continues to accomplish as a leader for the next two years. We’re sure that any delegate who has had him as a Crisis Director or competed with him around the circuit will back us up on how stellar he is and be just as proud of him as all of us at UNC are. We couldn’t think of someone who deserves this award more than Jake, but for us, the best award is having him on our team, in our community, and in our hearts.
Jasmine Mah
University of California, Berkeley
Jasmine Mah’s creative mind has been blessing the circuit with arcs and updates since the moment she joined UCBMUN two years ago. She has also been the cornerstone of our social scene serving as the Vice President of our club this past year and helping put together enough painting sessions, picnics, Halloween parties, and retreats to last a lifetime. Despite the force to be reckoned with that she is in committee, her dedication as a staffer this past year clearly did not go unnoticed either. Serving as CD of the Bridgerton committee (alongside her amazing Chair Sabrain Baur who will be dearly missed), Jasmine helped lead a committee that truly epitomized the balance between MUN and enjoying a weekend away from home. From picking out the perfect props to designing her ideal next season of Bridgerton, there was never a moment that Jasmine was not making sure her delegates were having a great time. Even beyond that, her feedback and conversations with delegates led to consistent comments of people immediately signing up for their next conference hoping to get a staffing team half as good as Jasmine’s. Even though she plans to graduate in three years following the end of the 2024-25 season, UCBMUN prays that Jasmine finds a way to avoid being a senior as her importance is something to us that can never be understated and we can’t wait to see what she gets up to next!
Kaleena Roeva
Harvard University
Kaleena Roeva, or Kleen to many, has always been a force on the GA circuit. Kaleena is a senior at Harvard College studying Economics and Government. Known for her creative off the cuff speeches, triple merge finesse, and insane MUN instincts, Kaleena embodies talent and ferocity in every committee she competes in as a member of Harvard’s competitive traveling team, ICMUN. She previously served as Under-Secretary-General of Business at HMUN, ICMUN Head Delegate, and, of course, a Director at HNMUN. As an expert in the Double Del GA, Kaleena naturally helmed one such committee at HNMUN 2024, chairing the conference’s largest committee with an effortless grace. When she’s not on the phone with American Airlines or tirelessly mentoring her many GA protegees, Kaleena can be found boxing at Rumble, intermittent sleeping, or being a consulting queen at Harvard College Consulting Group. Outside of her many commitments, Kaleena is a friend to all at Harvard ICMUN — a support system and consistent shoulder to cry on for many, she has channeled endless time and energy into making MUN at Harvard what it is today. Kaleena will continue her MUN leadership as Secretary-General of HMUN-Dubai 2025 — we can’t wait to see her slay the conference!
Katherine Weiss
University of Central Florida
Max Schaked
University of California, Los Angeles
Max Schaked has always been one of a kind. Anyone who has ever interacted with Max knows about his creativity, dedication, and seemingly endless desire to claim that he is from Miami, not a suburb of Orlando. At LAMUN XIX, Max raised the bar and reset the circuit standard on what a non-traditional committee should look like. His Argentinian Milei committee was loved by all delegates for its intriguing cyphers, chaotic updates, and unique patriotic videos. While the original committee mechanics and world building Max creates is always at the center of attention, Max often credits his chairs and staffers for the committees that they are able to pull off. Anybody who has worked with Max will tell you about all the hard work and effort he has put into training and caring for his staffers. While Max is graduating a year early and leaving for D.C., his training style, out of the box thinking, positive energy, and infectious smile will forever leave a mark on not just UCLA, but the circuit as whole. We are going to miss you Max and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things you will do in the future.
Noah Virani
University of Chicago
As one of the CDs of Don’t Worry DALL-E, Noah put his delegates through the entire neural network of conferences in the battle between Artists and AI. Better call him a RELU function the way he keeps things positive! Noah embodied the ChoMun spirit as he saved his best performance for the last. His facilitation of the creation of Mew-topia, creating a fake Mona Lisa, and destroying Elon Musk is a task that could never be replicated, no matter the amount of training data or epochs in the training cycle.
Paul Petrozza
McGill University
Paul is a rising senior studying Biochemistry, and a truly iconic presence in MUN at McGill. From chairing the Roman side of the Second Punic War Joint Crisis Committee at McGill’s high school conference SSUNS, to McMUN’s Ad Hoc Crisis Committee of the Secretary General, Paul consistently brings a creative, energetic, and deliberate approach to managing frontroom. He worked with his dais to create an immersive, intense, heist-themed committee which continued McMUN’s legacy of innovative and unique Ad Hocs. In addition to being a fabulous chair, Paul has had a fantastic season on the circuit, gavelling at NAMUN and ChoMUN successively. Known for clever speeches and a knack for “ad hoc” arc development, Paul is a consistent, dedicated, and incredibly talented delegate, and we are so grateful for his presence on our team. We are so excited to see Paul return as chair of the Ad Hoc for McMUN 2025, and cannot wait to see what his last year of Model UN has in store.
Phoebe Chambers
Georgetown University
When she isn’t absolutely killing it in-room with fire speeches and top-pages left and right, Phoebe Chambers is hard at work running a tight ship for her own crisis committees. She has proven herself time and time again as a force of nature, not only as a competitor but as a kick-ass Crisis Manager. As a Conferences Staffer for the Georgetown University Model United Nations team (GUMUN) since her sophomore year and Deputy of Internal Affairs this past spring, Phoebe has made new and returning delegates feel welcome in our community. She has mastered practically every type of committee, awarding in GAs, crisis, and specialized, and is always a favorite coach among GUMUN delegates for her expertise and absolute dedication to teaching and helping others. From her iconic club night attire to her memorable Phoebe-snaps, she is a beloved leader of GUMUN. Phoebe has also been extensively involved in staffing both the NCSC and NAIMUN conferences at Georgetown. She served as a Crisis Manager for the Hungarian Cabinet of János Kádár at NCSC last fall and as the Grand Crisis Manager of the National Security Apparatus, comprising five crisis committees, at NAIMUN this spring. We can’t imagine a better delegate and friend to serve as Deputy of Training for the upcoming year and shape a new generation of GUMUN delegates.
Ritwik Bose
University of Chicago
Having brought the world of sports to the MUN circuit Ritwik has proven that MUN isn’t just about public speaking and writing content, but is also about having fun. Bringing a lighthearted and exciting presence to the backroom in his final committee Crème de la Prem: English Premier League, 1992-93, Ritwik ensured that directives were not the only thing delegates were kicking around. As an encouraging presence on the UChicago team, Ritwick’s jokes, friendship, and position within the community will be missed.
Sean Manning
University of Georgia
Sean Manning is a rising senior International Affairs and Economics major with an Arabic minor from Hahira, Georgia. Sean has competed across the circuit but especially enjoys his time as a chair and CD at UGA’s conferences. In the 2023-2024 season, he chaired DawgMUN’s Fate of the Frats committee and CDed UGAMUNC’s Neolithic Mureybet committee. He enjoys being involved around campus and, outside of MUN, is a member of the Student Government Association and Richard B. Russell Security Leadership Program. When he’s not talking, you can find him with his airpods in probably listening to Lana Del Rey, Maude Latour, or Lucy Dacus. Sean will serve as Secretary-General of the UGA Model UN team in the 2024-2025 year. At DawgMUN II, we are especially excited to see him CD “Is It Casual Now?: Situationship 2024.” He hasn’t revealed all of his secret twists for this committee yet, but we’re sure it’ll be one to remember on the circuit.
Skyler Bohnert
McGill University
Skyler is a rising senior studying Political Science and History who brings talent, dedication, and light to all of the roles he begrudgingly steps into in the Model UN community at McGill. From serving as the Deputy Undersecretary-General for Crisis Committees at McGill’s high school conference SSUNS, to stepping in as a member of our team’s executive council, to acting as a Crisis Director for McMUN, he has played an integral role in the flourishing, and the survival, of our organization. He brought his characteristically innovative approach to crisis to his direction of Colombia’s Thousand Day War at McMUN 2024, and we are so excited to see how he navigates Colonel Howard-Bury’s Himalayan Mountaineering Expedition at McMUN 2025. Despite his affliction of chronic “yips”, he has also had an incredible season on the circuit, awarding at BarMUN, HNMUN, and VICS. Throughout all of this, Skyler has been a warm, generous, and mentoring presence on our team, for which we are eternally grateful. We could not be more excited to see what he does as the president of our parent organization, the International Relations Students’ Association of McGill, for the upcoming year.
Sydney Lester
University of California, Los Angeles
Nobody can run a GA like Sydney Lester, and her delegates over the years at LAMUN and BruinMUN would gladly attest to her top-notch chair skills. She can often be found chairing the largest double delegate committees at conferences, including LEGAL at LAMUN this year. Sydney is a rising senior at UCLA studying Sociology with a minor in Middle East Studies and has been a backbone of the UCLA MUN program over the years serving as a senior staffer. She has recently taken on the role of Director of Marketing for UCLA MUN where Sydney will continue to make MUN accessible to both circuit veterans and those new to MUN. She started her leadership in Model UN in high school. Sydney saw a gap in the types of clubs her school offered, so she took it upon herself to start a Model UN club that would be a place where she and fellow students could practice their public speaking and international politics. Sydney carries her mission to make MUN a place for everyone by inviting new members of the UCLA MUN club to be her staffers at both LAMUN and BruinMUN. Outside of MUN, she spends her time working for UCLA Undergraduate Admission where she visits local high schools to help students decide if college is the right fit for their future. Sydney is also a writer for The Daily Bruin. Sydney is the example of walking the walk and talking the talk. We are so excited to see everything she accomplishes next year and so grateful to have her as part of this community!
Congratulations to all the delegates! Thank you for your leadership in college Model UN this year. We look forward to seeing how college Model UN continues next year.
It is our privilege to announce the inaugural list of the Best College Model UN Teams and Conferences for the 2023-2024 school year. Congratulations!

Adam Liu
Boston University
Adam is a rising senior at Boston University, studying astronomy. From the great city of Sharon, Massachusetts, Adam has been competing in Model UN since high school. Before coming to BU, he even competed in Boston University’s high school conference, BosMUN! He is now a former co-head delegate of Boston University’s Model UN team, and along with Senthil Meyyappan led the team to four delegation awards this past year! Adam has proved himself in every type of crisis committee, and has sharpened his skills in Ad Hoc committees this past year; two of his four gavels this year were Ad Hoc gavels! Adam has been able to succeed under any circumstances, even illness, and always gives conference weekend his all. He is an inspiration for the team and his passion and drive are contagious. Adam is an example of perseverance and of the spirit of MUN; his determination and care for the team have led them to where they are. MUN@BU is incredibly grateful for the time and effort that Adam put into MUN this past year and is honored to have had him as one of our head delegates. The team can’t wait to see what Adam accomplishes next year!
Bailey Vanderwalle
Florida State University
Bailey Vandewalle graduated from Florida State University after serving as Secretary General of NoleMUN II, and Director of the FSU World Affairs Program. Throughout her Directorship, she led the team to record high individual awards, and six delegation awards. While recruiting & training one of the best new member classes in program history, Bailey also showed the circuit that there is no such thing as too many square-necked long sleeve shirts, Board of Directors committees, and packs of Peach Vibe Celsius. During NoleMUN III she served as the Crisis Director for the Ad-Hoc of the Secretary General. During her career in Model UN and the World Affairs Program she has been successful, steadfast, compassionate, and absolutely whimsical in and out of committee and has left her mark on the Model UN circuit. Over the past four years that she has served in The World Affairs Program, she has put the team above herself at every given opportunity. From pre-NoleMUN car crashes to hospital visits, Bailey has given her all to this program and the team. She has helped the members of this program to grow and pushed them to compete at their best, ‘voluntelling’ them to give speeches in the van. Throughout it all, she could be spotted supporting and cheering for them in every committee and at every conference (some closing ceremony tears may have been shed). Traveling to all 10 conferences FSU attended, she managed to only have one near-death allergic reaction (looking at you Piesano’s), and thoroughly enjoyed every deer moment with the team this year.
Throughout her decade-long Model UN career, Bailey has truly come into her own while at FSU- earning a total of eight gavels and a dozen other awards. From JFK 2.0 to making Hungary a P5 country, her wide range of committees has given her nothing but the best. As your chapter at FSU closes remember you will always have a place in the World Affairs Program and on the circuit, we love you miss girl! Wishing you the best Madam Director, and as always go Noles!
Benjamin Merbaum
McGill University
Ben is a rising senior studying Mathematics and Computer Science, whose term as the Head Delegate of the McGill Delegation Team was characterized by unparalleled humility, competence, and leadership. During his tenure, our team not only reestablished itself as a competitive force, attended a record number of conferences, and grew in size – it became a larger, stronger, and more inclusive community. None of this would have been possible without the ambition that underlined Ben’s leadership, fueled by his optimism and belief in the potential of our team. This year was not only a feat in leadership for Ben – he saw a fantastic season on the circuit despite so many surprises and challenges. From navigating his first double del at HNMUN to going to ChoMUN with less than twenty-four hours notice and then gavelling, he proved his adaptability and incredible talent as a delegate over and over again. The legacy of Ben’s leadership will extend far beyond his time as head delegate – his consistency, practicality, and strength as a leader will inspire us for years to come – as evidenced by the fact that we are currently designing stickers with his face on them. Although Ben may be entering his “retirement era” from being Head Delegate, we are so excited to have him back on team next year, and cannot wait to see his further feats on the circuit.
Colin Morrill
Florida State University
In only his second year of Model UN, Colin Morrill has excelled as a delegate, friend, and mentor in the World Affairs Program. In the past year alone, Colin served as the Assistant Director of Programming, Assistant Director of Finance, and Crisis Director at NoleMUN III––all while maintaining a perfect 4-gavel streak in the spring. Stepping up to leadership this year, he became a jack-of-all-trades, and helped the program succeed in every way he could. His relentless drive did not go unnoticed, as Colin ended the year with a total of 5 awards over 7 conferences and an outstanding individual ratio of 3.3. On the circuit, you likely know Colin for his creative crisis breaks, hit-or-miss bits, and signature navy suit/black turtleneck at every closing ceremony. Outside of committee, however, Colin boasts a reputation for being NoleMUN III’s resident DJ Colinsky. Throughout this year, his hard work, love for his team, and commitment to the bit are unmatched. Always one to volunteer to drive, he has gone above and beyond to support his fellow delegates, whether it be a fist bump, hype playlist, or walk to Portillo’s. Colin is beloved by all for his dedication, infectious optimism, and the energy, humor, and kindness he brings to every room he enters. Colin, the World Affairs Program is endlessly proud of your accomplishments, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of your collegiate career brings! Go Noles!
Cristina Rodriguez
University of Florida
Starting of as a crisis delegate, Cristina Rodriguez, known as Cris on the circuit, didn’t have much interest for resolution writing or bloc lunch. In fact, for her first year in the collegiate circuit, she didn’t step foot inside a GA room. However this all changed her sophomore year during NCSC where her bright energy, charismatic speeches, and kind spirit earned her the Diplomacy Award in her first ever GA. She found a passion for resolution writing and collaborating with others to find sustainable solutions to real world problems. With this new found attitude, she became one of UF’s leading GA delegates collecting several more awards including an impressive diplomatic commendation in the HNMUN GA Ad-hoc. Moreover, Cris has proven time and again her versatility to the UF MUN team, returning to her roots of crisis at AIRMUNC to collect an Outstanding Delegate award and picking up a gavel at the LAMUN Press Corps (a feat she credits to her journalism coursework). On the UF team, Cris is heavily involved with our collegiate conference, SunMUN, serving as Chief of Staff, Director-General, and now Secretary-General. Cris’ experience competing, directing, and on secretariat will culminate in SunMUN III, hosted in the Spring by UF in Orlando, Florida. Next year, you can likely find Cris in specialized GA rooms, taking notes during Head Del feedback (she takes the Sec-Gen thing very seriously), and dancing on an elevated surface at a social. She will for sure continue to add positivity and fun to the circuit during her final year on the team.
Jason Salguero
Florida International University
Jason Salguero is a person for the people by the people and they are just getting started. This year they lead the team as the FIMUN secretary general and assistant head delegate and now have been selected to be a head delegate for the 2024-25 season. Jason is well-known on the circuit for competing in simulations of regional bodies and has an unmatched drive to find unique and effective ideas for each committee. This year was marked with outstanding trials and tribulations but in the end, they proved they were the best (delegate). Not only has Jason proven to be a great delegate but they play an invaluable role in fostering a sense of unity within the team, and their efforts ensure that every member of the team feels valued and heard, creating a supportive environment where FIU delegates can flourish. Whether it is sharing a laugh during a break between classes or providing good advice for a conference, their presence creates the remarkable bond that defines the FIU MUN team. Jason’s future is bright in and outside of the circuit. Triple majoring in International Relations, Political Science, and Philosophy, you will find yourself being able to talk about everything and anything with them. The whole FIU MUN team wishes them the best for the coming year as they continue to carry on the torch of our revolutionary strategy.
Josie Hughes
University of Cincinnati
Perhaps best described as the physical embodiment of the Model UN spirit, Josie Hughes is one of the kindest, most welcoming, and most passionate delegates the circuit has ever seen. A latecomer to the MUN scene, Josie (accidentally) joined the small, ragtag team at the University of Cincinnati in 2021 and throughout the years, turned it from a club, into a family. Her energy and enthusiasm lit up a room, and she created a warm and welcoming space for new and old members alike. Whether she was teaching new members parle pro during meetings or chaperoning Buc-ee’s pitstops as Head Delegate, Josie brought the club to life and made people excited about participating. On the committee floor, Josie demonstrated her MUN prowess, using her creativity and remarkable oratory skills to win award after award, often with the strangest and yet, most effective crisis arcs known to MUNkind. Josie has played no small part in pulling UC’s team up through the ranks to its greatest victories yet, and we can only hope to use the skills she has taught us to reach new heights and continue her legacy. The UC team will never be quite the same without Josie, and she has left an indelible mark on our club’s culture and has touched the lives of so many people across the circuit. We are all so incredibly proud of Josie, and we wish her only the best as she begins her post-grad adventures. Here’s to many future visits (and donations) from our distinguished alum and Model UN All-Star.
Matt Hartman
George Washington University
Matt Hartman has been a home-run delegate for GWMUN during the last three years. Since joining the team during his freshman year, his dedication, skill, and enthusiasm for Model UN have only increased. He has hit it out of the park, and continually cemented himself as one of the circuit’s most skilled and feared crisis dels, awarding in crisis committees, Ad-Hocs, and UNSCs alike. Beyond his competitive record, Matt has been a dedicated leader to GWMUN; he served on Apparatus for nearly two years, including as Vice Head Delegate this past year. He has always shown up for our members, acting as a steadfast mentor and friend. And, arguably most importantly, he has served as the team’s de-facto crisis guru, training new generations of GW delegates to follow in his goofy ahhh footsteps in and out of committee. Oh, and he did all of this while serving the residents of the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at the US Capitol. We are so proud of all that Matt has accomplished, and we can’t wait to see what he does in the future (including in his new capacity as CEO of the GW International Affairs Association)! Play ball!
Mikele Mancuso
Florida International University
“Settle on the type of person you want to be and stick to it, whether alone or in company.” As Mikele Mancuso is well known to do we have to start with a Marcus Aurelius quote. There is no one on the FIU MUN team or the collegiate circuit that embodies this quote more. Mikele has shown the type of person he is for the past two years and in fact, this is his second year on the all-star team. This year he was more in company than alone as he acted as one of the team’s head delegates. His time as head delegate could be considered environmentally concerning due to the amount of paper and wood he has collected. It is hard to deny that Mikele was the funniest guy in the room and it was clear that he was not afraid to treat his committee like an open mic stand-up comedy night with no dramatic fall, funny impression, or killer prop work to spare. Not only has he been a skilled competitor and a familiar face in ad-hoc committees throughout the year but Mikele has brought an unprecedented enthusiasm for international relations. As you watch him juggle two internships, his duties as head delegate, and his actual school work, you learn there is truly no rest for the wicked. Mikele is pursuing a double major in International Relations and Asian Studies and is planning to spend the next fall and spring semesters in Taiwan. Although he is already a polyglot (speaking English, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese) he has dedicated most of his time in college to studying Chinese. He is planning to continue his language studies in Taiwan. We wish him lots of luck as he continues his journey and always represents the Panther Nation with pride.
Parth Badhwar
George Washington University
Honestly, we’re not sure if this spot should have gone to Parth, or the 2-liter bottle of Coca-Cola he carries with him during every waking moment of committee. GW’s Head Delegate was a mainstay across the GA circuit, regularly winning awards at competitive conferences, including a gavel at the notorious HNMUN Ad-Hoc GA (his favorite conference of all time). In leading GW’s team, he ascended to the role as our youngest-ever Head Delegate, and has had the longest tenure of any Head Delegate in recent history, keeping the team stable through some incredibly stressful times. The team couldn’t have survived without him; he always showed up for and served our members, no matter how many hours or missed classes it took. He truly is Him! A proud Mira Costa alum, Parth finished out his Model UN career with a bang, leading a GW team with incredible vibes to some of its best performances yet. Outside of running GWMUN, Parth spends his time roaming around the halls of the White House and consulting firms (don’t ask him how many times he’s met the President at work). He’s a character that’s impossible to forget, and his presence around the circuit is almost as ubiquitous as his enthusiasm for mergers and Q&A votes. Parth has truly cemented himself as one of the most impactful Head Dels in our team’s history; GWMUN can’t wait to see what he does next, and we wish him a happy retirement!
Senthil Meyyappan
Boston University
Senthil is a rising senior at Boston University, majoring in International Relations, Political Science, and Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights studies. Alongside his triple-major, it’s inspiring how much time Senthil has been able to put into Model UN and MUN@BU. The only thing he spends more time doing than Model UN is defending his home state of Virginia! Senthil just concluded his term as co-head delegate of MUN@BU, alongside Adam Liu, leading the team to 4 delegation awards over the course of the 2023-2024 year. With gavels in General Assembly, Specialized, and Crisis committees, Senthil is a versatile delegate who has excelled in every type of committee he has competed in. Senthil is admired not only for his Model UN success, but for his willingness to help the members of his team, even before he was head delegate. From late night prep sessions to hosting team dinner at his home in Virginia and being team chauffeur, Senthil has treated the team like a family. It is thanks to Senthil that Nonsense by Sabrina Carpenter became the anthem of this year’s team and was played every conference weekend. Senthil also has introduced many members of the team to his favorite place on earth, Paris Baguette. The team is so grateful to have had Senthil as one of our head delegates this past year and is excited to see his achievements next year. Senthil currently serves as co-president of Boston University International Affairs Association, MUN@BU’s parent organization, and will continue to impact both the team and the organization at large for years to come.
Shrinidhy Srinivas
University of California, Los Angeles
Shrinidhy Srinivas is a powerhouse. As MUN at UCLA’s outgoing president, she simultaneously served on the secretariat of two conferences and as one of our head delegates. Our fearless leader braved both hours-long logistics “parties” and hellish Costco runs for the team. She even managed to graduate a quarter early with a major in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics (try saying that three times fast!) and a minor in Global Health. Beyond her myriad concrete accomplishments, Shrinidhy boasts even more intangible ones from her time as president. Without a doubt, every member of our team – whether they traveled or staffed, whether they were a newcomer or on secretariat – can recall an instance in which Shrinidhy was there for them in a moment of vulnerability. MUN at UCLA will not be the same without Shrinidhy’s endless emotional, logistical, and training support. Nevertheless, her impact on our team culture will not be forgotten. MUN at UCLA wishes Shrinidhy all the best on her gap year and the utmost success with med school!
Tara Ganguly
University of California, Los Angeles
Tara Ganguly is a force to be reckoned with. She managed to conquer Ad Hocs across the circuit, not only placing in every single one but also being a light and a presence to everyone she meets. Tara is undoubtedly one of the most creative, talented, and passionate delegates you will ever meet, as can be seen by how well-loved she is on the circuit as well as her incredible crisis arcs (shoutout Mooey!). Beyond just her prowess as a delegate though, Tara has made an indelible mark on MUN @ UCLA. She killed it as this year’s Director of External, serving on Secretariat for conferences of record-breaking numbers and she has supported countless delegates on our team whether it comes to helping them workshop an arc or simply being a good friend. MUN @ UCLA is so lucky to have Tara. She is the epitome of what it means to be the best delegate and we can’t wait to see everything she accomplishes next year!
Adit Kulkarni
University of Cincinnati
When it comes to UC MUN, it is hard to imagine the team without Adit Kulkarni. Since 2021, Adit has been a driving force behind the success of our team. For the past two years, he has led our team to new heights. Throughout his tenure as President the org went from a few kids struggling to compete to a top 25 delegation, surpassing all expectations. While Adit did this in part through his competitive spirit, that is not what made him excel as president. What his delegates as well as anyone who competed with him will remember about his model UN career was his dedication to his team, willingness to go above and beyond, and his sharp instincts. Adit not only knew what to do to make our team a success but knew how to make us all feel heard and respected. Every delegate on our team can proudly say Adit affected our lives for the better. Adit just graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering and has begun a new chapter at Nestlè. While we are sad to see him go UC MUN is so proud of Adit and excited to see whose lives he changes next. Congratulations Adit, you deserve this and so much more!!
Anderson Korman
American University
While a man of many talents, Anderson Korman literally eats, sleeps, and breathes Model UN. Across the circuit he goes by many names, including “big dawg” and the “LeBron of MUN,” for good reason. After spending last year sweeping crisis committees, he turned his focus to GA this year, finding success in double-del committees and proving himself to be a force of nature in the vaunted GA Ad-hoc, having a 100% gavel rate. In only two years, not only has Anderson become AU’s de facto single-del GA competitor but has also served as an invaluable resource for every member of AUMUN, striving to ensure every member has a successful competitive weekend. However, what sets Anderson apart isn’t only his persistent drive to improve the structure and competitiveness of AUMUN, but his ability to strike personable conversations with fellow delegates in committee through his unique blend of creativity, humor, and charisma. Anderson possesses the qualities that all delegates should aspire to, creating welcoming environments and being able to work with anyone across the circuit. Outside of MUN, Anderson worked as a legislative intern on Capitol Hill last semester and is a diehard Boston sports fan (although there are rumors that Anderson is actually from Montana). In just two years, Anderson has left a lasting mark on the circuit and AUMUN, and we can’t wait to see what he does next!
Ashrita Gottummukkula
University of California, Los Angeles
If you have ever competed or been a part of any General Assembly committee, then chances are you have talked to the Empress of GA, Ashrita Gottumukkula. Whether it’s through cracking cringey jokes or ironically telling people to open the circle up, Ashi has undoubtedly made the circuit a brighter place. MUN at UCLA is proud to have Ashi represent us as one of our Head Delegates and train our delegates to become kind and competitive, as she has been over the last 4 years. Ashi’s dedication to her craft can not only be seen through her countless accolades, but also her themed acronyms and One piece references. While this is a bittersweet goodbye, the impact that Ashi has made not only at UCLA but across schools will be felt for years to come. We will miss your pep talks, random excursion ideas, but most of all the presence and laughter you bring to us all. We know that you will do great in life and we wish you nothing but the best in D.C.
Becca Golden
University of Georgia
The queen of the gavel, Becca Golden is a rising third-year at UGA majoring in Environmental Economics and Management with a minor in Computer Science. She has competed in Model UN for two years while making friends (and getting awards) all across the circuit. As busy as she is with MUN, you can also find her playing volleyball with friends, gardening, and attending concerts. She will happily give you some song recommendations by Hozier, the Brummies, and Joji if you’re ever in need. She will serve as UGA’s Head Delegate of Administration in the coming year. Be on the lookout for her across the circuit if you are looking for collaboration on your JPD or in an unmod. We are incredibly lucky to have Becca on our team and can’t wait to see everything she will do this year!
Bruce Luttrell
University of Tennessee, Knoxville
Calvin Osborne
Harvard University
If you’ve set foot in an ad-hoc in the last three years, there’s a 95% chance that you know Calvin. There are two sides to our beloved blonde bombshell of a delegate; the first is Head Del Calvin. Head Del Calvin, the ‘O’ in Harvard’s beloved and iconic set of retired head dels, ‘YORK,’ travels an absurd amount throughout the year, supports our babies whether by competing with them or leading the team on campus, and wins awards like nobody’s business. He’s taken home a team record of twelve gavels across the 17 conferences he’s attended, and is truly both an icon and a force to be reckoned with on the circuit. He’s the only reason many of our members have passed our math classes and will go on to do amazing things.
The other side of Calvin is so unhinged we couldn’t come up with a good name for it. This is the Calvin that will lead an afterparty after the delegate social until 4:00am and show up to FunMUN at 9:00 the next morning, or (true story!) will decide that simply because the flight is so early headed back to campus from SunMUN that there is no reason to leave the club to sleep, and an all-nighter is the only reasonable option. It would appear that he’s allergic to ties and ‘proper’ WBA (not that that’s ever stopped him from awarding), and if you see him in committee without his nails done, it’s probably an impostor.
And we wouldn’t have it any other way. We’re so, so proud to call him an ICMUN delegate, the Secretary-General of our high school conference (our university conference SG is here too!), and one of our best friends.
Deniz Oray
Boston University
Deniz Oray is a rising junior at Boston University majoring in International Relations with a minor in Sociology. She has been doing Model UN for 8 years and has been a dedicated member of MUN@BU since joining her freshman year. Throughout her years of experience, she has attended 35 conferences, whether she was staffing or competing as a delegate. You might know her from her powerful speeches in single-delegate General Assembly committees, or from her digital camera that she can’t be spotted without. Deniz has succeeded in almost every collegiate committee she has competed in, earning three verbal commendations and two outstanding delegate awards in committees ranging from Ad Hoc General Assembly to a double-delegate Legal Committee at her most recent conference, LAMUN!
Ellie White
American University
Ellie White has and will continue to be a guiding figure for the AU Model UN Team. As a member of leadership, Ellie has always put their teammates first, serving as a wonderful mentor and Head Delegate. Their energy and kindness has made them many friends on this circuit, and their skills as a delegate have made them one of the best crisis and GA delegates the team could have asked for. Ellie has always brought a fun tone to every conference and it is infectious to their own team as well as other delegates who meet them. Through many tenuous moments, Ellie has always stood her ground. Although frequently heard to now be joking about a “retirement era” we can’t wait to see what they do in their next year on the collegiate circuit. Currently, Ellie works for the Peace Corps and is a senior staffer for both American University’s high school MUN conference AmeriMUNC, and NHSMUN. With 10+ individual finishes, Ellie has remained grounded and kind to anyone. In comedic fashion as always, and as Ellie likes to say, “waka waka!” and congratulations.
Elliot Lin
University of Chicago
Having led the team through the year, Elliot has created quite a dent in every room they have entered. Throughout their time on the team, Elliot has ensured that members feel like they not only have a place to be, but a place to grow in Model UN and in college. With an uncanny ability to reassure people throughout a conference weekend, they will be remembered not just for their many awards, but for the late night food, walks, and a lending ear. While they may not miss UNSC jail, next year the team will miss their presence, amazing cooking, and incredible personal support. However, the team will love their new presence, as glue!
Hanan Levis Betancort
Jack Alarie
Concordia University
Jack Alarie, a long-standing head delegate and member of Concordia’s External Delegation, is a force to be reckoned with. He has provided invaluable insights for our team and shone brightly on the circuit. Jack leads with incredible charisma and innovative ideas and is a stellar example for other Concordian delegates. His commitment to our team’s cohesiveness and his confident approach in committees is a source of inspiration to us all. As Jack enters his professional era, we are beyond excited to see what he will accomplish. There is no doubt that he will continue on his path of excellence. We will always be grateful to Jack for his unwavering service and dedication.
Julia O’Neal
University of Georgia
Julia O’Neal is a recent UGA graduate double majoring in International Affairs and French with a minor in Political Science. She gained a passion for politics through doing Model UN at her high school in Roswell, GA. She competed in Model UN for 10 years. In her last two years on UGA Model UN, she served as Head Delegate. When she’s not competing at MUN, you can find her doing fun makeup looks, painting, cooking, listening to Glass Animals, or hanging out with her roommates and their two cats. If you’ve been in GAs on the circuit in the last 4 years, you may have competed against Julia! Julia competed for UGA Model UN for all 4 years of college: from zoom rooms to Montreal. We will miss her kind demeanor, amazing makeup, and helpful training for every UGA delegate as she moves on to her next chapter.
Raghu Kommalapaty
University of California, Los Angeles
Raghu Kommalapaty is undeniably a legend on the college circuit. He’s obviously one of the best to ever do it, with his countless accolades and network of fans to show for it (it’s a good thing the circuit has a dress code, or everyone would be swept by a kid in a Celtics jersey and flip flops). He is an incredible speaker, compelling delegate, legendary SG, and his talents genuinely make him shine. What’s truly remarkable about Raghu, however, is the way that his very presence is capable of lighting up even the most intense committee. Whether it’s a unique spec with weird ROP or a 200 person GA, anyone who’s ever worked with Raghu can attest to the fact that he makes committee a genuinely good time. He’s kind, funny, and welcoming, and his passion for Model UN is capable of inspiring anyone who sees him compete. He’s also just as incredible outside of committee. We can’t think of travel without thinking of his expert advice, pink speaker, or karaoke socials. We’re so proud of our little shining (all) star, and we can’t wait to see everything he accomplishes in the next year as UCLA’s Director of Training.
Shweta Nanda
University of Chicago
Shweta Nanda helped lead the UChicago team in her final year on the circuit — while also pulling many awards herself. In committee, Shweta is known for her incredible speeches, thoughtful clauses, and her ability to make everyone’s voice feel valued. During her time on the team, Shweta had led and shaped the GA team and truly been a mentor to everyone. She takes the time to make sure that everyone on the team feels ready and excited for committee, meeting them where they are and helping everyone improve. As she leaves the team, we will all miss her endlessly supportive and joyful presence, her incredible pep-talks, and most importantly her friendship. We wish her the best of luck as she takes on new adventures.

April Zhang
University of California, Santa Barbara
Madam President April Zhang! As our resident environmental science major, she somehow manages to find time to fit MUN into her schedule between various labs and working on her thesis. On one hand, she’s picking up gavels from Ad hocs across the country, coming up with some of the most creative crisis arcs and speeches on the
Archer Amon
Florida International University
Archer Amon (A.K.A Archer “AI” Amon A.K.A Archibald Amon) is undoubtedly one of the most knowledgeable and brilliant delegates on the circuit. An absolute force of nature in G.A, Archer takes his deep knowledge of technology, science, and policy and puts it into play at nearly every conference he goes to (which is a lot). From gaveling at UNCMUNC’s CSTD to rapping at the McMUN DISEC or establishing a hive mind with robot clones in his very first Crisis at VICS, Archer has shown the circuit that not only does he know his stuff, but that he can remains a kind and considerate individual while competing. Archer isn’t just a powerhouse on the circuit, as he’s pushing forward tech policy analysis with past internships at the Atlantic Council and regular work within tech law and Artificial Intelligence. A proud triple major (Computer Science, Political Science, International Relations), he manages to keep a rigorous course load while still competing (and awarding) regularly. Keeping in line with his interests, he ran a committee at FIU’s high school conference (FIMUN) on the first conference on artificial intelligence (fun fact it was held in 1956!) and managed to raise over $1,000 that went to supporting families of incarcerated peoples. Overall, he’s an incredibly kind and intelligent individual that inspires everyone at FIU to work harder. While he’s passed on the torch as FIU MUN’s Head of Research, he has moved on to be one of their Head Delegates for the 2024-2025 season! We can’t wait to see how strong FIU will be under Archer!
Caroline Xin
American University
If you’ve had the privilege of witnessing Caroline Xin on the circuit over the past three years, then you know there’s no one quite like her. Joining the team in 2021 originally from Fremont, California, she has been a force on the circuit, bringing tact, poise and creativity to every committee she is in. Anyone who has met her knows she is a passionate GA connoisseur and one of the biggest support systems for the AUMUN team. From always taking the time to debrief with every team member after committee, and always pushing the circuit to be more inclusive, she truly embodies the best of us. She served as the Chief of Staff of WIRC X, always doing her best to give back to the community she loves. When you see her at a social, you remember her infectious laugh, her bright smile, and always capturing the best moments with photos. She just graduated from American University in three years, and after graduation, she will continue pursuing tech policy in California and prepare for law school. Caroline embodies all the best parts of what it means to be a delegate and a team member and we can’t wait to see all of the amazing things she accomplishes.
Charlie Moore
Boston University
After returning from a semester abroad in Paris this past fall, you would have never known Charlie had ever taken a break from Model UN. He jumped right back into competing as soon as he could, earning a gavel in the Ad Hoc committee at McMUN! Charlie has been a dedicated member of MUN@BU for the last four years, formerly serving as a Director and a Co-Head Delegate for 2022-2023. Charlie’s passion for Model UN is accompanied by his great passion for sports, especially baseball. One of the first things you’ll learn about Charlie is that he’s been to every MLB stadium! Attending a Red Sox game together was one of the best memories to end the year off, and the team is thankful to Charlie for that. Charlie ended off his Model UN career at ChoMUN, earning a gavel in the Ad Hoc! Charlie recently graduated from Boston University with a degree in Journalism, and the team couldn’t be more proud. Charlie’s compassion, encouragement, and uplifting spirit will be greatly missed. MUN@BU is so proud of Charlie and all of his accomplishments, both MUN and non-MUN related, and the team is so excited to see everything he will do in the future. Congratulations Charlie!
Courtney Daniels
Fordham University
Courtney Daniels is a first-year student studying International Political Economy, and in her debut semester on the circuit quickly became Fordham Model United Nation’s highest scoring female delegate. With an impressive tally of six awards over an eight conference season and numerous “best dressed” superlatives, Courtney has cemented herself as a #GAwarrior, propelling Fordham’s sharp rise to the top 25. Even if you haven’t been in committee with her, chances are you’ve caught a glimpse of her signature hot pink pantsuit during a conference or heard whispers of her bedazzled heels bearing multiple nation’s flags. We are incredibly proud of Courtney’s accomplishments this season and eagerly anticipate her continued growth as a delegate in the coming three years, contributing further to FUMUN’s unprecedented success.
Ela Schulz
University of California, Santa Barbara
Ela Schulz is a presence in UNSCs across the country, as well as at home at Santa Barbara. As a rising senior double majoring in political science and history, Ela was an integral part of the UCSBMUN team as Director of Training, Head Delegate, and UNSC aficionado. As a delegate, Ela was unstoppable, picking up a team-high number of awards at crisis committees at conferences across the country, from staying up into the early hours of the morning in Ronald Reagan Airport to cross-state road trips to San Francisco. Between her impressive performances, she put in countless hours in keeping the team running smoothly and training countless delegates under her tutelage, including sleepless nights planning training agendas and purchasing airline tickets. The UCSBMUN team is beyond thankful for her unwavering dedication and passion for the team (not to mention her constant baking of sweet treats for everyone), especially in her capacity as incoming President for the 2024-25 school year! We can’t wait to see her continue in what will be her last year in collegiate MUN, whether it be taking on more UNSCs or driving her delegates to LAX.
Hazel Stocco
University of California, Los Angeles
Hazel Stocco leaves her mark on every committee she is a delegate in. While she may hail from a West Coast school, she will never forget to remind you of her midwest upbringing. From Ad Hocs, to UNSCs, to JCCs, Hazel will always put her best foot forward coming up with some unique solutions and crisis arcs. In her final year on the collegiate circuit, Hazel served as a head delegate and Model UN at UCLA’s Director of Training, teaching a new generation of UCLA delegates who will take the circuit by storm. Her nomination to the All-Star Team is a testament to the hard work and love she has put into this team during all four years of her college career. Even as her time on the circuit has come to an end, she will be remembered. I mean, who could forget her iconic duck pins? Congratulations Hazel, we are all so incredibly proud of your achievements!
Jiayi Yue
University of Chicago
Jiayi Yue is an incredible delegate and presence on the UChicago MUN Team. In committee, she shines in the front room, giving amazing speeches and carrying her way through committee in an indisputable way, both anecdotally and statistically. Jiayi was also an incredible USG, helping many committees run effortlessly and smoothly. Jiayi will be remembered for her fierce competitiveness, humor, and innate ability to simply do what needs to be done. She is an incredible mentor and friend and will be missed deeply next year.

Lucas Hjertberg
Fordham University
Lucas Hjertberg has been a cornerstone of Fordham University’s Model UN team, leading us to new heights as the Vice-President and Head of Training this year. Known for his dynamic presence in UNSC and historical crisis committees, Lucas captivates audiences with his speeches, often characterized by a unique blend of somersaults and meows. His leadership and dedication have been instrumental in shaping our up-and-coming team, fostering both individual excellence and team cohesion. Lucas’s passion for Model UN is matched by his creativity and enthusiasm, making every committee session not just a debate, but an unforgettable experience. The Fordham Model UN team wouldn’t be the same without Lucas’ contributions, we are immensely proud of all he has accomplished, and we hope he recovers from his gavelling addiction soon.
Maria Zen-Baxter
McGill University
Maria “Scoreboard” Zen-Baxter is, simply put, a powerhouse in every capacity. Recently elected as the McGill Delegation Team’s newest Head Delegate, Maria carries with her an exceptional record of dedication, mentorship and success. While at home she is known for her outstanding teaching abilities and natural leadership skills, Maria has asserted herself as one of the circuit’s most unique and impactful delegates, encouraging others to think outside the box while lifting up those around her. Each and every McGill delegate is thrilled to follow Maria next year and join her in chanting: “McGill once, McGill twice!”
Miller McCraw
Claremont McKenna College
If you were to ask anyone on the CMCMUN team about Miller McCraw, they would tell you he is one of the kindest, most selfless, and most creative people they know. If you were to ask anyone to circuit about him, they’d probably tell you the same exact thing. Miller has been instrumental in the success of our team, especially the crisis squad. You need help brainstorming a note? Miller’s got ya. You are feeling unprepared for your first conference? Miller will do whatever he can to make you feel confident. Want to grab a meal? Miller will meet you at Collins dining hall. At conferences, Miller is a force to be reckoned with, gaveling nearly every ad hoc committee that he competed in, including at BARMUN, TrojanMUN, and HNMUN. With some of the most brilliant arcs, passionate speeches, and collaborative unmod skills on the circuit, Miller makes crisis committees look like a cake walk. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of working with Miller in committee, you know about his imaginative directive ideas and his genuine excitement about creating a welcoming environment for everyone. Unfortunately, Miller’s MUN career is coming to an end along with his time at CMC. But his legacy as a talented MUNner, a caring crisis training manager, and a wonderful person will last long after his graduation. We will miss you so much!
Samantha Suchsland
University of Miami
Vishwaa Sofat
University of California, Berkeley
In the four years (especially the three in-person ones) that the circuit has been lucky enough to host Vishwaa Sofat, there is a reason that he has continuously been elected to this All-Star list. The impact that he has had within UCBMUN alone will be something talked about for years to come but even in his old age and senioritis phase you would be hard pressed to find people on the circuit who don’t know Vish. The dedication and commitment he has given to the activity that is Model UN is nothing short of incredible and whether you’ve competed against him or been chaired by him, you will know there are very few people who leave such an impression as Vish; his passion for MUN has been inspiring delegates and teams even since his early high school days. Outside of the circuit, Vish is an even better friend. Despite the countless commitments he finds himself being roped in to, there is never a moment that he won’t have your back or can’t make time for you. It is exactly that tenacity that has truly helped UCBMUN grow into what it is today–a club full of people willing to go above and beyond for each other the same way Vish did for us. Vishwaa recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a number of honors and degrees in Political Science and Interdisciplinary Studies Field. He will be spending his next year in China as one of the 100 students selected to be a part of the Scwarzman Scholars program before heading off to complete his MUN-kid arc at Harvard Law School. There is not a moment that will go by next year where both the club and the circuit won’t feel the lack of Vish’s presence but we wish him all the best (even though we know he won’t need it) with his future endeavors–emphasizing that you will always have a home here at UCBMUN.
Vivian Yee
Harvard University
Vivian – affectionately known as Vivyee – has a contagious energy for ICMUN. Her efforts spearheading ICMUN’s recruitment as one of our ‘23-’24 head dels (the Y in YORK!) yielded the strongest class of freshmen we’ve ever had; her efforts with her other co-head dels led us to our most successful season ever, and she’s been an invaluable presence on our team. Whether she’s donning one of her classic Aritzia fits or revamping the ICMUN Instagram, Vivian brings a special sparkle to everything she does. The epitome of class, elegance, and unwavering support, she is an incredible mentor and even better friend — we could not be more grateful to have her on the team, and we’re glad the circuit agrees!
Vivian is certainly one of the most versatile delegates that Harvard ICMUN boasts – you can throw her in the double del GA, the UNSC, or a crisis committee, and know that she’ll walk out with an award and new friends! She sacrifices sleep, grades, and more to travel with our team both to compete and – of course – spend time with her circuit besties. She’s taken home five gavels across her ten conferences and has never blanked! Her competitive experience and impeccable vibes made her a phenomenal head del, and she’ll bring those both to HNMUN, as she serves as the Secretary-General of the “oldest, largest, and most prestigious” conference on the circuit.
Congratulations to all the delegates! Thank you for your leadership in college Model UN this year. We look forward to seeing how college Model UN continues next year.
