DIY Spring Carrot Decor 25 Feb 2021 11:29 AM (4 years ago)

When decorating for spring and Easter, try to create or buy decor that can work for both. For Spring and Easter, carrots are perfect! Using Dollar Tree foam wreath forms and a little ribbon and paint, I created this cute carrot that can also be used as a wreath.

I also grabbed a green tulle skirt from Dollar Tree. It is in the St. Patrick’s Day section so get them while they are still out on the shelves. This skirt was easy to use but you can also use greenery or buy tulle from a craft store.

I also already had the ribbon in my craft stash and made a simple bow to attach. You can buy already made bows at Michael’s or Hobby Lobby.

I used a metal hanger for the back which made it easy to hang. Just push the hanger in to make it long.

I also attached the tulle skirt to the hanger using a pipe cleaner. Simply gather the skirt or tulle and attach close to hook. Pictured below.

Then, I glued the hanger to the back of the wreath forms. I cut 3 different forms to create shape of my carrot. Hot glue each one.

After I glued them together, I did have to trim them to look like a carrot. Play with it until you get the shape you desire. Paint your carrot and add a bow.

You could also add a sign that says, Happy Spring or any spring/Easter phrase. When I saw the foam wreath forms, I knew I could create a carrot shape wreath or decor that would be dimensional. I used 3 and that was perfect but use more for a bigger carrot. This project was only $3 for the wreath forms. I had all over supplies at home.

Step 1: Cut your wreath forms to create carrot and glue together. Trim if you need to.

Step 2: Paint the carrot as you wish.

Step 3: Gather tulle and wrap around hanger close to the hook. Glue hanger on back side of carrot.

Step 4: Add a bow or any embellishments. Hang and enjoy!

I just adore this cute DIY Carrot and cannot wait for spring!

Make this spring season cute, fun and OH SO crafty!

Always remember when you create and share, you are sure to inspire!
