’54 BabyMaker Project 30 Oct 2010 4:05 PM (14 years ago)

Name’s Chad Henry from Portsmouth, VA. Looking to represent the East Coast.
So we left the church on our wedding in my first build, rat rod roadster pickup, and knew I’d need to build a sedan within a few years therefore the name “BabyMaker.” My buddy found this on CList down in NC. Didn’t really have the money but a deal I couldn’t let get away. 1954 210 sedan already has 3″ chopped top and ’70 Nova sub. Very solid body and floor. Have a ’94 Impalla SS LT1 w/ 700R4 for the mill. Going to enjoy my rat for the summer and do some research on what direction I want to go with the ’54. Looking forward to getting started and excited I found this site. Thanks for putting it out there.

54 Chevy named Zippy 30 Oct 2010 3:35 PM (14 years ago)

bobeveson sent in this info on his ride. Thanks for sharing bob.

My ride is a 54 Chevy 210 2 door named Zippy.
It was nosed, decked, frenched head and tail lights, 2 teardrop anntennas, shaved doors handles with remote door openers added. The tube grill is from a 57 Ford cut to fit and the tail lights have a flat lens cut from the tail lights of a 85 Chevy.
Under the hood is a 235 6 cyl with a Clifford 4 bbl manifold with a Edelbrock 500 carb, ceramic coated headers from Speedway Motors with shorty glass packs and Southern Air heat and air and lots of chrome, polished alumnium and stainless. Rewired with a Ron Francis wiring kit.
Inside are the powered seats from a 2001 Buick Regal covered with Buick OEM seat covers. The door panels and head liner where custom made. The 3 speed shifter was moved from the column to the floor using the National Chevy shift kit.
The paint is Porsche Rivera Blue.
My wife calls the car Zippy so I had that name painted on the trunk. Now some of my friends call me Zippy.

Rusk’s ’51 Sport Coupe 22 Apr 2010 8:54 AM (15 years ago)

Bryan is doing a kick ass job on his 1951 chevrolet sport coupe project.

He sent in some photos and info on his project. He has an excellent pictorial of his modification on his site.

Here is what he sent in. Thanks Bryan!!

Here are a few shots of my ’51 sport coupe. The first is about a year after I bought it when it still had the 235 and Powerglide transmission. I’d fixed the wrecked front end and primered it, not much more. The other pics are more recent.

I’m running a Fatman Ultra-low front end, Gambino Kustoms triangulated 4-link, 350/350 combo, and a ’79 Camaro rear. Body mods include a hard-top chop, flush-mount headlights, extended quarters, ’49/50 shoebox windsplits and tail lights, extended skirts, ’54 Chevy front bumper on the rear, and for the moment, a ’52 Chevy grille. As you can see, I don’t mind rolling around with thing in progress…it’s just too fun to drive!!

Aaron and his website have been a huge help, especially on my Fatman front end. I have some build pics on my website at www.villainscc.com

Bryan

Jeremy’s 1954 chevy build 24 Mar 2010 9:52 AM (15 years ago)

Jeremy sent in these photos of his 1954 chevy build. He is doing an excellent job. Check out the way he did the notch from Gambino Kustoms and k-member from Art Morrison.
Kick ASS. Thanks for sharing.

I am Jeremy , and wanted to share some photos of my 1954 chevy 210 sedan, that i am currently building in my garage. I started out installing a Total Cost Involved mustang 2 front end with disc brakes and air bags. I soon pulled the body off of the car to build the rest of the chassis. Out back is now a step
notch with a curie rear end
ford 9 inch cut to 60″ flange to flange. I then decided how i wanted to build the mounts for the triangulated four link. You can see in the pictures what i came up with. When all was measured and welded for the four link i worked on the custom cross member witch houses a drive shaft hoop from art morrison, at the time i purchased the hoop i also purchased there universal K member kit , that i put some holes in along with holes for the exhaust. I will soon have more pictures of the updated progress.
