Galapagos Islands Luxury Cruises: Explore Nature in Comfort 14 Oct 2:25 AM (8 days ago)

Ecuador is all about mountain majesty and captivating cultures, as say Lonely Planet.

Ecuador, situated in northwestern South America, is a nation of unparalleled natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and historical significance. Despite its relatively modest size, Ecuador encompasses a vast spectrum of landscapes and experiences, making it an enticing destination for travelers seeking adventure, exploration, and cultural immersion.

From its majestic volcanoes and stunning mountains to the enigmatic Amazon rainforest, bountiful coastal regions, and the legendary Galapagos Islands, Ecuador has something to offer every traveler.

To explore nature in comfort, we are here to help you in all your high-end needs.

According to Britanica.com: Ecuador is one of the most environmentally diverse countries in the world, and it has contributed notably to the environmental sciences. The first scientific expedition to measure the circumference of Earth, led by Charles-Marie de La Condamine of France, was based in Ecuador. Moreover, research in Ecuador by the renowned naturalists Alexander von Humboldt of Prussia and Charles Darwin of England helped establish basic theories of modern geography, ecology, and evolutionary biology. Ecuador has a rich cultural heritage. Much of what is now Ecuador came to be included in the Inca empire, the largest political unit of pre-Columbian America.

Also, and according to National Geographic: Ecuador is roughly the size of Colorado and is bordered by Colombia and Peru. The high Andes Mountains form the backbone of the country. Cotopaxi in the Andes is the highest active volcano in the world.

The Galápagos Islands, 596 miles (960 kilometers) west of the mainland of Ecuador are part of Ecuador and are home to unique reptiles, birds, and plants. The Costa, or coastal plain region is where many of the world’s bananas are grown. The Sierra is also made up of farmland. The Oriente is east of the Andes and is rich in oil.

Beautiful places, memorable experiences, incredible people

Many of South America’s greatest hits can be found in Ecuador, from Andean peaks and the Amazon to tropical beaches, Inca ruins and the wonders of the Galápagos Islands. Also, Ecuador’s population mirrors its rich ethnic diversity, encompassing indigenous mountain communities, Afro-Ecuadorians along the coast, and tribal groups in the Amazon rainforest. What remains constant across this cultural mosaic is the genuine warmth, kindness, and hospitality of its people. But, let’s start with the destinations:

The Galapagos Islands

Are located about 851 miles off the Ecuadorian coast. The Galapagos Islands are an archipelago in the Pacific Ocean famed for their unique wildlife.

The islands are very isolated, meaning that the wildlife evolved with no outside influence. The archipelago was crucial to Charles Darwin’s development of the theory of evolution. You don’t have to be the next Darwin or even a scientist to get the most out of the Galapagos. It’s enough to appreciate the opportunity to get up close to giant tortoises, marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, and over a dozen other species that only live on the Galapagos Islands.

The Galapagos Islands are now home to a small airport connecting the archipelago to the mainland, so it’s an easy trip to make. You can also take an organized group trip to learn the most about the islands’ biodiversity and unique volcanic landscapes.

More of Galapagos

According to Quasar portal: When it’s finally time for the luxury Galapagos cruise you’ve been dreaming of, you deserve to experience the islands as an adventurer—not a tourist. You’re ready to discover breathtaking landscapes, have up-close encounters with rare wildlife, dive into the marine world, and relax in accommodations as unique as the islands. Tour buses won’t cut it. You’re looking for full access to the island’s hidden gems.

A small-ship luxury Galapagos cruise goes beyond checking this incredible destination off your bucket list. Our boutique style of travel lets you experience the islands the way Darwin did: away from the crowds, with freedom to explore your way.

The Best Luxury Hotels in Bolivia: Comfort in the Heights 18 Dec 2024 1:00 AM (10 months ago)

Bolivia is not just another country, it is a country full of traditions, extremely cultural and with so much charm that we cannot finish describing it.

Bolivia is one of those incredible destinations that you will discover.  Bolivia is a real undiscovered gem. As beautiful as one can imagine; as traditional, as popular, as enigmatic one can explain so many indescribable places with so many differences while

Bolivia has such special and spectacular places to be visited and discovered; its economical capital, La Paz as indigenous and modern.  Sucre, its constitutional capital, is traditional and conservative. Santa Cruz, very cosmopolitan and legendary with the Jesuit missions that are a must, and more, much more as the Uyuni Salt Desert & Lagoons, as unimaginable as spectacular Bolivia is one of those incredible destinations that you will discover.

Bolivia is a real undiscovered gem. As beautiful as one can imagine; as traditional, as popular, as enigmatic one can explain so many indescribable places with so many differences while

La Paz

The city of contrasts, both geographically and culturally. Topographically, La Paz has a breathtaking setting and views. It is located at the bottom of a majestic three-peaked snow-capped mountain, Illimani, which provides a dramatic backdrop.  It belongs to the same scenic group as Rio, Cape Town, San Francisco and Hong Kong.

The multicultural and multiethnic contrast is also fascinating. In no other capital city in Latin America are there so many differences among its inhabitants, from the indigenous to the eastern Bolivian, contrasting in everything from clothing to lifestyle.

In December 2014, La Paz was named one of the “7 New Wonder Cities of the World”.

Like all capital cities of every country, La Paz has spectacular distractions such as the funiculars that surround the city; there are about 5 routes that cover and from where you can see La Paz from the top; it is really incredible.

It also has hotels of great comfort and luxury that will make your visit the dream one.  Among the very elegant hotels, we have:

In the southern zone: Casa Grande hotel & Suites, Atix, Mitru, Camino Real, Met and others.

Casa Grande Hotel & Suites are hotels full of charm and details.  Met, Atix and Mitru are more modern hotels, perhaps for younger travelers

Suites Camino Real is a more traditional hotel, just as elegant and glamorous.

In the downtown you can mention the hotel Stanum, very modern and at the forefront of technology.  One could also mention the legendary Hotel Presidente, which had 5 stars in its time, but then lost interest perhaps because it was located in the center of the city.

Sucre

It is the historic capital of Bolivia. Declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Sucre’s colonial architecture is a reminder of the history, culture and traditions that have thrived in this city and have influenced a wide region of South America. To this day, all buildings in the center of the city are and should be painted white.

Near the city, there are two places worth visiting: Cal Orcko, the largest cliff of fossilized dinosaur footprints in the world, and the town of Tarabuco, the most colorful and authentic native Sunday market in Bolivia.

The constitutional capital of Bolivia does not have a wide variety of hotels; however, we can mention the Parador Santa Maria, a very nice and traditional hotel

Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz de la Sierra [Holy Cross of the Mountain Range’), commonly known as Santa Cruz, is the largest city in Bolivia and the capital of the Santa Cruz department.

Santa Cruz is Bolivia’s most populous city, produces nearly 35% of Bolivia’s gross domestic product, and receives over 40% of all foreign direct investment in the country. The city is the most important business center in Bolivia and the country’s principal destination for national and international migrants.

The main principal attractions are; Biocentro Güembé; Samaipata. Catedral de Santa Cruz. Jardin de las Delicias. Kaa-Iya National Park. National Parks.

Among the luxury hotels with great charm are: Marriott Santa Cruz, Swissotel, Cortez, Novotel, Camino Real, Los Tajibos and Alfonsina Boutique Hotel.

Uyuni

One of the most incredible natural phenomena in the world. The largest and highest salt flat in the world. It resembles a stunning, overwhelming and lonely white ocean; bright blue skies contrast with the blinding white salt crust. In the rainy season (December to March) the entire salt flat is covered with a layer of water that provides a surreal visual experience.

Among the hotels, we find three with great charm, made of salt and located in the town of Colchani, on the shores of the Salar: Luna Salada and Palacio de Sal

Cultural destinations in Peru: Enjoy History in comfort 11 Dec 2024 1:00 AM (10 months ago)

There are countries and countries and each one has its own charms; however, Peru has one of the greatest historical and cultural charms in the world.

And the reason is that Peru from its beginnings had a very deep Inca culture, full of values, customs, charms and strengths that later spread to other territories.

In extreme comfort, you can visit all around Peru with us and enjoy all what this incredible country offers

More about Peru

The Inca Empire began in Peru, it began encompassing the territories of Peru, Ecuador and a portion of Colombia. Its geography of large open valleys, deep canyons, high plateaus, coastal valleys and deserts presented numerous challenges for road construction.

Once the sovereignty of the city was secured, they prepared to begin from there the expansion of the empire, which at its peak extended over 2,500,000 km² through the lands that today belong to Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Argentina and Colombia.

Just as Peru has so much beauty, wonderful people, amazing landscapes, incredible routes and the best food in the world, Peru also has a lot of culture and history.

Cultural destinations in Peru

Lima

A short trip to Lima is not complete without understanding its rich heritage. The art and cultural activities in Lima will give you an insight into the city’s history, traditions, and artwork.

A short journey will take you to the Historic Center of Lima. Here, the buildings surrounding the Main Square seem frozen in time because many of the colonial balconies of yesteryear are still preserved. Also, if you are Catholic, you can visit the Lima Cathedral, as well as different churches (such as Las Nazarenas) and monasteries (such as Santa Rosa de Lima) that maintained the essence of their creation: none has undergone forced modifications.

The museums are also great alternatives to alternate with other types of activities. The National Museum of Anthropology and Archaeology houses the best collection of the pre-Hispanic period of Peru. You can also visit the Larco Museum, the Museum of Art of Lima (MALI), the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC), and the Pedro de Osma Museum, which are at the artistic forefront of the global society.

The Barranco area is extremely attractive.  Full of nice hotels, bars everywhere and great artists have their workshops in this bohemian neighborhood.  No problem to walk around, have a pisco sour and keep on visiting.  Have lunch in one of our renowned restaurants and go on and on and on.

Cusco, Puno, Arequipa and Ica

Now, according to the Promperu Portal mentions: Cusco, Puno, Arequipa and Ica are, along with Lima, Peru’s most visited regions by foreign vacationers interested in cultural tourism, according to the latest Foreign Tourist Profile.

Based on the research, tourists engaging in cultural activities in Peru exceeded one million.

85% of international visitors seeking cultural experiences reached the southern Cusco region, drawn by attractions in the Inca Empire capital as well as by the spectacular ancient citadel of Machu Picchu.

On the other hand, 31% of visitors arrived in High-Andean Puno to marvel at the mythical Lake Titicaca and engage with Aymara communities inhabiting its islands.

Arequipa and Ica regions rank third among cultural destinations preferred by foreign tourists, accounting for 21% of the stays in each case.

The architectural beauty of the White City’s historical center built in volcanic rock called sillar, the captivating Colca Valley, and communities with strong cultural heritage are Arequipa’s main attractions.

For its part, Ica has quickly gained the attention of tourists thanks to the extraordinary Paracas and Nazca cultures, developed in this part of the territory. Cusco, Puno, Arequipa and Ica are, along with Lima, Peru’s most visited regions by foreign vacationers interested in cultural tourism, according to the latest Foreign Tourist Profile.

It is to be imagined that Cusco, the capital of the Inca Empire, already has several hotel chains that are a pleasure to enjoy.  Such are: Belmond Palacio Nazarenas, Monasterio and Rio Sagrado.  Marriott, Hilton, Radisson and many other.
